  1. I agree he was too predictable. I actually hope it's McDermott who call the plays. I think he, as a DC, hehas a better feel of the game than Frazier and when to become more aggressive. I also think we would see adjustments happen earlier in the game.
  2. Yeah, no. Lamar is far easier to control running the ball because of how limited he is throwing the ball. Much harder to stop Mahomes from running while trying to cover the best TE in football and the fastest WR. Hope you weren't serious with this post, it's bad. Faaaar more concerned with our pass defense in the playoffs than our rush defense.
  3. Do they? If people here think Buffalo uses alot of draft capital on defense they should look at what KC has used in the last 5 years. 2022 Draft Round 1 21st pick CB Round 1, 30th pick DE Round 2, 62nd pick S Round 3, 103rd pick LB Round 4, 135th pick CB Round 7, 243rd pick CB Round 7, 259th pick S 7 of their 10 picks went to defense, including (2) 1sts and 5 in the first 4 rounds. 2 out of their first 3 picks in 2021 went to defense, including their top pick. 4 of their 6 picks in 2020 went to defense. 3 of their 6 picks, including their 2nd, 3rd & 4th picks in 2019 went to defense. 5 of the 6 picks, including their first 5, in 2018. That's 21 of their last 34 picks, including a majority of their picks in the 1st 4 Rounds went to defense. Shouldn't they be alot better than they are on defense if they hit on most of their picks?
  4. Aside from the Cincy loss the others were not because the Bills were getting run over by the rbs. Against the Texans and last year against the Chiefs the leading rushers were the QBs for their teams. The first Chiefs game wr Hardman had a 50 yard run out of the 114 rushing yards surrendered. The Chiefs rbs had 19 carries for 59 yards(~3.0 ypc) in that game. I wouldn't fault other defenses for failing to keep our running game in check if it was being led by Josh and a wr in 3 out of the 4 games.
  5. 9 lost fumbles by Trevor this year and he's not even a running QB. That's the 2nd most by any player since at least 2006. I say at least because that's where the website cutoff.
  6. I agree, he's better than Burrow, but alot people outside of Buffalo don't feel that way.🤷‍♂️
  7. He's already top 3, despite what the blowhard says. The question is he #2 or #3. With OL & WR help in the offseason the question would become is he #1 or #2 imo.
  8. I agree. In the last 2 postseasons(7 games) his defense has given up only 18.8 ppg and never more than 24 points in the playoffs. Played at KC twice and at Buffalo once and gave up an average of 19 points in those games. The Cardinals made yet another head scratching decision.
  9. I would like to see WR in the 1st, if there is someone worth taking in our slot. Then at least the next 2 picks for OL, preferably a RG & RT. Moving Bates back to LG or finding a FA who can replace him and have Bates our #1 reserve.
  10. I agree. Even the mighty Brady & Belichick duo once went a decade in between Super Bowl wins. Now they did already have 3 to cushion the blow, but I guarantee Pats fans were saying alot of the same things as they kept failing to get #4 year after year. They went on to win 3 out of the next 5 after that. I bring that up just to show that even the all-time greats need things to fall just right, in order to win it all.
  11. I can tell by your post that you are starting to calm down from the Cincy loss. That's good to see, good to have you back LA.🙂
  12. We were battle tested this year and what'd that get us? A defense that had half its starters injured and a tired team come playoff time. No thanks. Give me an easy schedule like 2021. They can meander through the regular season like they did that year and be fresh as a daisy come playoff time and almost completely healthy. Once you have an experienced team, especially at QB, that has been in some big games being battle tested is overrated imo.
  13. If you zoom in you can see the top & right portion of the P.
  14. Josh explained how it went down on the Pat Mcafee show. Doctors wanted him out 2-4 weeks. As he put it....I had other thoughts and said give me the prp shot right now, I won't throw until Saturday and we'll see how it feels then. It sounds to me like it was his call or he had a major say in it. Elbow talk starts at 1:20.
  15. I don't think there's another QB quick enough to get away from the initial rush, then strong enough to fight them all off. He's the ultimate weapon of size, speed, power and maybe the strongest arm ever. He just needs some help on offense and Dorsey needs to step his game way up. Daboll had a **** ton of experience overall and in big moments for Josh to draw upon, Dorsey doesn't. I think that's what Josh is missing more. Daboll was more like a Dad where as Dorsey's more like an older brother.
  16. An immobile QB in this scheme, behind this oline gets sacked 70 times lol, minimum. That's just over 4 a game. And yes Josh was running for his life in the 1st Rams games in 2020. That's the game where he got a 15 yard facemask called on him as he was throwing 3 different defenders off him
  17. Either 2 OL, 1 WR or 2 WRs, 1 OL in the 1st 3 rounds. I would prefer to go WR in the 1st and address OL in rounds 2 & 3. Unless one of the OL in the first falls to them. Von was worth the risk, the defense was alot better because we could get consistent pressure while only rushing 4 guys.
  18. We've actually played against Aaron Donald 2 out of the last 3 years. The offense averaged 33 ppg & Josh was 50/64 608 yards 7 tds, 3 ints. Also rushed for another 64 yards and 2 more tds. 9 total tds in those 2 games. Damn, Aaron who?
  19. 9/10 on 3rd downs & no punts. The 4 turnovers were the only thing that stopped the offense that night.
  20. I'm just thanking God that the loser isn't in charge of the team, there's no harm in that. The most embarrassing thing is basing everything on a game or 2. The 6th best QB Rating in playoffs EVER. Sitting on an island all by your lonesome, like always. Again don't get me wrong, there's room for improvement, but no where near the top of the problems that need to be addressed with this team. Your biggest problem always seems to be with by far the best player on this team. A team that would be nothing without him. 5 wins maybe if you replaced just him for an average player at his position. I had fun reading a conversation in a different thread last night about one Ben Roethlisberger and the beatings he took trying to buy time to hit big plays down the field. Seems as though I was having this discussion just a month or so ago with someone who insisted that never happened. Wrong then, wrong now, always wrong.
  21. Time must work different in your world? Von's not even 34 now, a year after the fact.🤯
  22. So your original post was about the Cincy game? You dont mention them or even the playoffs in your post. Reads far more like a general statement of what is needed next year. Makes no sense for your #1 move to be based on a single game, you don't believe that's an over reaction? Especially when the team has improved year in and year out on your supposed big fix. 4th in 3rd down percentage in 2020, 2nd in 2021 and 1st in 2022. But that's what you're going to concentrate on? I'll thank God before bed tonight that you're not running this team. Many more important things to work on, than an area we were the best in the league at, aside from the 1 game. 42% for the Cincy game, while not their best outing, doesn't put it near the top of fixes needed. That's foolish to think that.
  23. We averaged a 1st down every 2.83 plays this year. Last year it was every 2.87 plays. We were also better on 3rd down this year over last year 50.26% vs 46.40% and 4th down 53.85% vs 50.0%. Can't get any better than finishing #1 in 3rd down percentage in the league. We were worse last year on every level, so my biggest question would be where were all the complaints about this last year?
