  1. I agree with everything you wrote except the last sentence. He's only 26 and based on his usage I would say he's a young 26. He's got a few years before you can say he won't be a star. The Bills need to get a good enough line so it's not necessary for him to stay in and block. They also need to feature him more in the offense, especially when teams are doubling Diggs. The only thing holding him back is the number of opportunities he gets. The top 5 TEs this year averaged 114.5 targets, including Kelce's 152. Knox's average for his career is less than 60 targets with a career high of only 71. Take his numbers this year and give him Kelce's 152 targets and he would've had 112 rec., 1,209 yards & 14 tds. Kelce had 110 rec., 1,338 yards & 12 tds. Their production is very similar per target. Now I'm not saying he's as good as Kelce, after all Kelce is now the focal point in KC for defenses this past year and Diggs is on the Bills. But he could do alot more damage if given the opportunity because of the attention defenses give Diggs and lately defenses using a guy to spy on Josh. I'd like to see his targets increased to around 90-100. About what Kittle(86) & Engram(98) had this year(#4 & #5 TEs in targets).
  2. Yet... The year Josh had, by far, the best weapons he's had in his career.....20.3 PPG in 3 playoffs games in 2020. That includes a 10 point offensive performance at home against the Ravens. The same amount of points we had in the Cincy game this year. This is fun. What else you got?.......
  3. And yet with an uninjured Allen, better WRs, Daboll's ever changing weekly gameplans and a much, much easier schedule the Bills averaged the same exact ppg with Daboll in 2021 as they did with a first time OC in 2022. Add to that more yards on offense per game this year even though our defense couldn't get off the field as compared to 2021. Another post where I'm going to say something isn't adding up on your end. And don't say Allen either, Allen was our QB both years. Daboll had his own warts, the biggest one thinking he could outsmart everyone, but usually he'd end up only outsmarting himself. There's 2 possessions in the Divisional round loss to the Chiefs right off the bat. 3 straight runs by Singletary on 1 and another where Gilliam, Singletary & McKenzie were the only 3 to touch the ball. 2 possessions where Diggs, Sanders, Beasley & Davis didn't even get a single target or even an Allen run. And that's with Davis being a clear mismatch once Mathieu left the game. Daboll threw away 2 of our 9 drives in that game.
  4. 219-64(.774). In the playoffs 30-11(.732) 9 SB appearances & 6 SB wins with Brady in 19+ seasons. Last playoff win 2018 season. 79-88(.473). In the playoffs 1-2(.333) without Brady in 8+ seasons. Last playoff win 1994 season.
  5. Same as when the Pats went to 2 athletic TEs. No other team was doing it at the time and it worked because defenses weren't constructed to deal with it.
  6. So Josh's numbers and our offensive numbers were nearly identical in 2021 & 2022. You claim they were only that good last year because of Allen. Yet Allen was also on the team in 2021, why weren't our numbers better with Daboll being here? Josh even had better weapons in 2021 vs 2022, wasn't injured and played against a far easier schedule. Something isn't adding up here.
  7. Daboll is an experienced OC while Dorsey just completed his 1st year as OC. Daboll's first OC job came in 2009 with Cleveland and he failed, posting the 32nd & 29th ranked offenses in his 2 years there. Then Miami, failed, then KC and failed again. He was the OC for 3 different teams in 4 years, all resulting in him being let go. His first real success as an OC didn't come until 8 years after he first became an OC and it wasn't in the NFL, it was with Alabama in 2017 when they won the national championship. Secondly you say Daboll brought out the best in Allen, while Dorsey failed to do so. If we are going by the 2020 season only, sure. But Josh threw more ints in 2021, under Daboll, than he did under Dorsey this past year. Josh also had a better QB Rating and QBR this past year over 2021 and his ypa increased by almost a full yard. Even though Daboll had the experience over Dorsey and Josh being injured this year vs healthy in 2021. Lastly, using Daniel Jones as an example on how he makes QBs better and a winner is laughable. What Jones was asked to do this past year was similar to what Allen was asked to do in 2019, don't lose the game for us. He didn't make Jones a winner, he made the Giants winners, Jones was just along for the ride.
  8. I find it fitting that Gabe’s Birthday is on April Fools Day.
  9. Then state that he needs to run less/slide more often AND they need to protect him better. Josh has taken just as much, if not more, punishment behind the LOS than once he's crossed it.
  10. Hyde wasn't in the game when he hurt his hamstring. He had just left the game with the neck injury that ended his season. He was running to celebrate Milano's pick 6.
  11. I agree. So he has 38 total tds & 25 total turnovers(20 ints, 5 lost fumbles) in the last 2 years combined. He's not worth top tier qb money, let alone that much guaranteed.
  12. If y'all really wanted to show appreciation for Gabe, this thread would end on this page. Page 13.
  13. That's not even the best part of AJ Hawk driving, he also admits to falling asleep while driving. Some much so that he wears a device that buzzes to wake him up if his head falls forward.
  14. You just don't want to accept that it wasn't his defense over the last several years. I told right off the bat he was an aggressive DC and now his former HC confirms it and you still question it. Many seem to forget that before Ron Rivera was nicknamed Riverboat Ron he was a very conservative coach. He only changed when he was about to lose the locker room in Carolina. McDermott is far more aggressive than Ron is.
  15. Hey, he's a really young almost 32 year old. Get er done Beane!
  16. I think he'll eventually accept less, but only if it comes from someone other than the Ravens. He'll try and pass it off as it wasn't about the money it was about respect. Media talking heads will rejoice saying he showed great courage in his victory against the NFL.
  17. And Josh Jacob's for Oliver, Basham, Epenesa & a 5th rounder in the 2036 draft.
  18. Yeah, don't get me wrong, are there times Josh needs to go down or get out of bounds, absolutely. But he's taken just as many, if not more, big hits from shoddy OL play than from running the ball. If his career is indeed shorten both would be pretty equally at fault.
  19. No he would've just pointed his finger at someone else. Don't get me wrong, I like McDermott, but this struck a nerve for me. Keep it behind closed doors, he knows better.
  20. The coach & gm have wanted it for the last 2-3 years, it has not happened. Funny they want him to quit running when 3 out of his 4 injuries have occurred behind the LOS. One could argue a quality OL would aid in his longevity better than him reducing his running attempts.
  21. To add to that, Josh is by far the single biggest reason we've been so successful over the last 4 years. McDermott or Beane leave, we will still win. Josh leaves and let The Drought Part II begin.
  22. Besides McDermott will lose a power struggle with Josh. That's why he hasn't been made to slide less over the years. This is far from the 1st time we've heard this from McDermott or Beane.
