  1. Director of Operations is more of a hockey Czar. In that role Guerin would be the eyes and ears of the owners and the GM would report to him.
  2. Looks like your source may be right. They were talking on WGR this morning saying it may be a two-fer, Guerin as Director of Hockey Operations and Botterill for GM.
  3. You're on fire this morning. Bravo, great stuff.
  4. Came to this thread late. Took me a moment to figure out why the first responses were so upset with the OP, then realized that he originally just had the roster numbers with no player names. This post should be pinned and used as the ultimate example of how an Ill-formed post elicits nothing but scorn, while a properly amended one creates pages of engaging discourse. Review, ponder and amend before you hit "Post" boys and girls. The effigy you prevent from burning just may be your own.
  5. Agreed. Almost criminal to package that much beauty with all that talent.
  6. This kid is in 6th grade. She's going to be a star.
  7. Sometimes some of the best musical moments come from real people who just have incredible talent. Post some of your favorite videos of non-professionals belting it out. I'll start it off with this awesome video of a dad singing Tennessee Whiskey for his daughter.
  8. Well, Kane whistled past that graveyard. http://www.wkbw.com/news/evander-kane-harassment-trespassing-case-dismissed
  9. Is it a source you trust? Nice pick, if true. Here is an interesting paragraph from his bio. It sure looks like both of Buffalo's teams are heading into the deep end of the analytics pool. "On June 6, 2014, Penguins General Manager Jim Rutherford announced that Guerin would be promoted to assistant general manager of the team. Rutherford said that Guerin would be focusing on developing the analytical side of the game."
  10. Great news. He should be one key cog in the new and improved defense.
  11. He's still got a ways to go to be known as CLAPTON, though.
  12. Would you subject your wife to that rat's nest of questioners? Yeah, me neither.
  13. Just a random thought: Is this the first time since the Sabres inception in 1970 that both Buffalo franchises are concurrently without sitting GMs?
  14. An interesting offshoot of the Pegula press conference on Whaley's firing was him saying that they were very close on naming the new Sabres GM. I would expect an announcement in the next couple of days.
  15. Sabres picking 8th for second year in a row.
  16. I think that the ability to anticipate where the wide receiver is going to be and deliver the ball there in stride is way underrated. Last time the Bills had a quarterback that could do that with great consistency - his name was Jim Kelly. I like this pick and I think this kid is going to one day be a starter not just a career back up.
  17. John Gruden is a huge fan of newest Bills QB. http://www.post-gazette.com/sports/Pitt/2017/04/19/jon-gruden-nathan-peterman-nfl-draft-qbs-pitt-panthers-kansas-city-chiefs-new-orleans-saints/stories/201704190158?pgpageversion=pgevoke&utm_campaign=Echobox&utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Twitter#link_time=1492628532
  18. Sean: "It's for you, Monster.com has a few questions before your resume can go live."
  19. I don't think there is any real hate of White, just of another first round pick on a corner when so many have walked after their rookie contracts were up. Feels like another ride around on the hamster wheel.
  20. I was always more of a Bullwinkle guy. Sorry, wrong thread.
  21. That's awesome. I wondered why he went all the way back to lane 1 for the 11th shot. He could probably trim another 10 seconds off of his time by going to lane 8.
  22. Here's something fun: Go to Google and type in - Sabres GM.
