  1. It also saves us money towards the cap NEXT year. Where it would not have if we waited.
  2. I think Goodwin is more than a burner. He was very good last year when Stevie was out injured and in the top 2 WRs on the depth chart for games. He can catch and find the ball. He also plays bigger than his size and has sick hands. Hope he plays more!
  3. I would agree. This seems like the most we could get for him. They have done their homework and shopping and know the value. If they could have gotten a higher pick or a 4th in this years draft they would have done it. Especially since the 4th round is not till tomorrow, so, they could not have been close to getting a 4th this year. If they were close, I don't think they would have done this deal till after rounds two and three unless they were scared SF would draft a WR and this offer would dry up. Carolina must not have been interested too. I thought it was more than we could have got for him.
  4. Williams is only $2 million or less next year. It jumps to $5 the following year. He has a one year tryout or he will be bagging groceries. So, he needs to play to get paid. We are no hook cap wise as the Bucs have eaten that portion.
  5. Agreed. I think Stevie's best days are behind him. I love our 3 WRs (Watkins, Woods and Goodwin) and like the chance we took on Mike Williams. The only thing that would be bad for us with this trade is injuries. I really want to see Goodwin on the field a lot and not just to stretch the field. I still think we should cut TJ Graham as he is not a NFL WR.
  6. I don't want to trade down for picks in next years draft when THIS draft is stacked up better than almost any in the last 15 years. If we trade back it needs to be for picks for THIS years draft.
  7. I like where your head is at! We may be able to take the Guard in Round 4. But, if we love one and is there late 3rd I would be find trading into the 3rd for that Guard. Big day for the Bills! Big night! Can't wait!! Agreed on our D.
  8. I like everything the Bills have done. But, we have now given up...this years 6th and next years 1st and 4th. So, we can't spend a 4th, or even our 5th on a backup. 7th maybe. UFA would be great. But, I do like Taj Boyd as a flier.
  9. Agreed. Love that we have our draft picks this year still. The strongest draft in how long?! So, great job not trading away any picks (not including the 6th for Williams) Agreed. Love the open mind, research and intelligence into decisions.
  10. Maybe good trade value for SJ would be during the 2014 season before the trade deadline. If a team loses their top 1, 2 and or top 1 and 2 WRs?
  11. I don't think it is a joke. A team drafts a kicker in the 6th or 7th almost every year. And, Hopkins was the top rated kicker last year. We could trade him potentially.
  12. I was more than fine resigning Carpenter. I hope we can get a 6th or 7th for Hopkins during the draft. Could happen.
  13. Ya, have to disagree on this one! Different personalities and views on life and football.
  14. I really wanted Hardy that year. Could not believe he fell to us in the 2nd round. Not one WR was taken in the first that year at all. Well, I want Evans this year. So, hopefully history does not totally repeat itself.
  15. Bad idea. It starts to take autonomy away from teams.
  16. Interesting thoughts. But, 99% sure Whaley picked Manuel. Last years entire draft had Whaley's blueprint all over it. At the very least, Buddy and Whaley agreed on the pick.
  17. If this is or were the case with what Dallas would be willing to offer then I am sure Dallas will be able to trade up with someone in front of us instead of trade with us at #9 for that load of picks.
  18. Agree on everything. Question...what is the Vikings cap situation? Do they have room for Bradford's contract? I guess it isn't too expensive since the signing bonus has been accounted for and already hit the Rams cap.
  19. As said prior, I think this is very close to dead on. But, can't come up with something better. Well said and played!
  20. I like Gabe Jackson in the 4th quite a bit. Ja'Waun James could make it to the 3rd round. I would be totally fine picking him in the 2nd!
