  1. Another thing about Crossman that I don't like is we were bottom 3 in the League in punt and kick returns. Maybe even last? Can someone help me understand this. My thought is that it has to be a philosophy thing?! If so, that is disturbing. We have game changers in McKelvin, Goodwin and company kneeling the ball more than any other team. It reminds me of Jauron trying to keep games close, but, not win them. Is it just coincedence or philosophy? A good example of this was the last game against the Pats they were running all over a wet field for tons of yards and we were kneeling the ball almost every single time. Thoughts?
  2. Cutting him only saves $25000 to $500000 against the cap this year. However, I have seen, cutting him this year saves us $7 million plus next year against the cap, fyi.
  3. This is a reach! But based on trading for Williams and talking about trading for Chris Johnson. I really think we are going to take a run a CJ2K as a FA. By getting Williams and if we get CJ2K that gives us the ultimate flexibility!! I say we are trying to trade Spiller for trading up or gaining more picks. I think it is a deep draft as others do. So, by gaining Williams and possibly trading Spiller....I think we are trying to trade back from #9 for more picks AND trading Spiller for more picks! The real nice thing to me is Whaley and the Bills have a plan, evaluations, a board of ALL players, not just the players in the draft and are looking to get better for the entire roster! Go Bills !!
  4. It is so sad, but, true! Seen it before over and over again. It is a viscous cycle, I eat cause I am lonely, I am lonely because I eat. I really, really like what the Bills are doing BUT to think Crossman should still be coaching STs boggles my mind. He has never done well before! Embarrassing. I could go on and on, but, just embarrassing!
  5. I LOVE it !! It has a couple different players than I like, but, the positions and thought processes are dead on to my train of thought as well. The first and second round picks are also the identical players I want to select! We can surely get a starting RT in the 3 round. We can't get an Evans in the 3rd round. ASJ could and probably will be better than Ebron and should/could be there in the 2nd. Go Bills! We have drafted a kicker and punter the last two years.....let's just take a year off from it.
  6. Evans is my choice. He has been for at least 6 weeks. My fear is as the closer we get to the draft the higher his value is going. I hope he does not go before #9! And, as someone mentioned prior, I now feel some team could actually trade up for him. That is not something that I thought was possible until his trade value has been increasingly rising. EVANS!
  7. I totally agree! I think we are handling the QB situation well too. For now as long as your statement continues to remain true.
  8. Remember when I was trying to grow my hair down to here?
  9. With all the bashing I see on these threads on TJ Graham I don't think anyone has mentioned (could be wrong) that he always tries to jump to catch the ball. Even when it is right in his hands. He should not be in the NFL! He is no a NFL WR. Nobody would trade a 7th rounder for him unless it was to return kicks. And, I would take a 7th for him.
  10. I really don't see him landing in New England. IMO I think he is going to the highest bidder, period. That won't be New England. It will be to an Oakland, Cleveland or some other disfunctional organization with a lot of cap room.
  11. I don't disagree at all. But, not sure on who the other Guards were you are referring to? Also, I think the Bills like Williams because of his play against the run. I still don't like the signing though.
  12. I like the way you broke this down. But, unless many off the best players at their positions are gone for impact positions I don't think trading back from the 1st or 2nd round is worth it. Especially, the way you broke it down it shows the ROI (or lack there of) of trading back is not worth the better player in the 1st or 2nd round. Good post, thanks!
  13. What about the year we lost to the Steelers, their backups and Fast Willie Parker in week 17
  14. Not that it matters if we get a comp pick next year or not as it was important to sign good players as I think we did for the majority. Although, on another note, unfortunately I think a lot of our signings were players that could play STs. So, that means we signed a bunch of players to help Crossman's inabilities. We have seen that with ST coaches before. Regardless, back to my point. How many players have we signed vs been signed away? I count...Chris Williams, Dixon, Graham, Rivers and Spikes vs. Byrd, Moats and Carrington? So, 5 in and 3 out?
  15. Agree. You can find a stud OT for the right side in the 2nd or 3rd. Maybe even a stud TE. But, you really need to be lucky to find a #1 WR in the 2nd round. Real lucky. For example Alshon Jeffry. EJ and the offense need the best value to fix a couple positions. WR in the 1st is the best chance to do so. We do not have a #1 on our roster, just 3 # 2's. Get a RT in the 2nd, the draft is filled with them. TE in the 3rd, but, we do have, I think, 5 TEs on the roster now. But, I don't think we have a #1 TE on the roster still.
  16. I agree sign him. It will be a one year deal. My other thought would be he will be gone after a year potentially, if not sooner. So, sign Britt. Draft a WR still...Watkins (probably not there, Evans in the 1st or Moncrief in the 2nd. Then during the draft after we select a WR try to trade Stevie for a 6th or 7th rounder. If not, cut him. Are top 4 WRs would be Britt, Evans or Moncrief, Woods and Goodwin. Cutting Stevie would essentially save us nothing in cap this year, but, I think it saves us approx. $7 million next year and we would be replacing him with an upgrade IMO. PS. Cut TJ Graham too. Overall, much stronger 4 WRs. If one gets hurt we still have a strong 3. Keep Easley for STs and let the rest of our potential WRs fight for the 6th WR spot and PS.
  17. I agree with everything besides the last sentence. I think our Defense overall will be even more improved again this year and these Safeties are the plan (we are not going to fill the position with a high priced player). We did prepare for Byrd's departure by hedging our picks with two players in the 4th and 5th rounds last year (a large investment). Duke was one of the highest rated Safeties in that draft. I don't think Searcy is in the starting job equation. And, he was drafted by the old regime. Pettine used him in good formation and plays last year. But, he is just a situational player. Worst case scenario if neither of these two young Safeties don't progress thru the offseason and training camp we can then pick up a vet that is cut for final rosters. That is worst case scenario, but, I don't think it will come to that. Heck, Leonhard will still be available most likely at final cuts. I think we are better off with the young kids though.
  18. Won't Branch and Dareus see snaps at DE with one of them in the middle beside KW? Mario on the other side? Branch and Dareus both saw snaps at DE last year in certain formations. Dareus played both in College. I personally like Dareus inside and Branch outside.
  19. Maybe the Bills don't want to deal with Eugene Parker? He clearly doesn't want to deal with us.
