A few thoughts.... 1. If Carpenter kicks like he did last year I don't care about the roster spot. Wasn't he over 90%? Like 10 for 11 over 50 yards? One over 60? And, how many in bad or very bad weather? 2. We cut Hopkins for Carpenter. 3. I think if Davis isn't signed to a 53 man roster we will sign him to the PS. 4. Do you really want a 8th WR in Davis (9th with Lewis on PS) instead of a guy who can do....refer to point #1.
