Does anyone feel like the roster can be better this year?

Are the Dolphins a concern for you?
Manther replied to gr8billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yep! The last couple years they put themselves in terrible positions as an organization. They have done it again. However, I am confident they will play us hard. Agreed!! -
Stephon Gilmore: "I Know I’m an Elite Corner."
Manther replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I disagree. It's all relative, yes. For example, if I love a job and they say will you take it for $40 K, $80 K or $120 K yes that's a big difference. But, at any of those annual pays if they say will you take $30, $70 or $110 I would take $10 k less. Accept if you can't afford to live off $30 K which makes sense. These athletes dont need to squeeze every penny if they are happy, like the situation or want to play out the whole contract. I don't buy the every penny counts. Maybe for some, but, not all. There is a difference between a want and a need. And, each person and NFL players have different goals, wants and needs. -

Incognito signs 3 year deal with bills

Agreed. But, I think we surely need a LB in FA to QB Rex's D. -

Are we actually considering Harvin????
Manther replied to Niagara Bill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
IMO we are considering resigning him like we considered restructuring Mario. If I am wrong and we sign him I hate the signing! -
Corey Graham restructures contract
Manther replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We have no clue which position he will play next year. A switch back to CB could happen. I think he was a better CB than S. I think he is good at both though. -

Cordy Glenn Signs Franchise Tender

Agreed I can understand your thoughts. But, I think it is more that McKelvin is an average CB making $3.9 M. He is a back up. You can pay someone less and they can be as good or better. Also, could be younger with more upside or more useful for STs. That's funny I think Carpenter is fine. Mostly agree

Awesome!! Slightly off topic? Interesting and educational explanation. Thanks, that clears up some questions. -
Bills "frustrated" with Incognito contract demands*SIGNED*
Manther replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. Richie needs to get paid for Richie. Good for him. The Bills had a statistically strong run game. Was that because of RI or their scheme or both. I say both. But, RI is older, has some issues and the scheme and Roman could have made him look better than he was which was still very good. He did get run over and through in the Philly game. Statistically he was the best Guard in the NFL since 2006. I don't think that was all RI. Nor was he the best Guard in a decade (not even close). All in all, I believe a poster mentioned Boling was around $5.2 M last year. I think that contract lines up. So, IMO take his age and other potential issues into the equation and I once again agree $4 M/year is about market value. If we need to pay him $5 M I say get it done and IMO the Bills would as well. I am guessing RI is asking for much more. And, he isn't worth MUCH more. If the scheme, Roman and Kromer had something to do with RI being the best Guard in football last year and in the last decade I believe we can replace him. I also believe Glenn was the much more important piece on the left side of the line. Overall, I hope we sign Richie to a contract and that it will work out for both him and us. But, $5 M/year is the max that should be paid. -
On my Android....that is painful to even think about reading.

Bills "frustrated" with Incognito contract demands*SIGNED*
Manther replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It is what it is. If we wanted a discount should have signed him to a two year deal or some more team control or flexibility. However, I have more of an opinion on the poorly written and hollow article. It had no news or facts in it. What a waste of time it was. What does that mean? -
That was not his question at all. My point is you need to sign Gilmore to a long term deal, SO, you can TAG TT if you can't come to an agreement. And, you can't TAG Gilmore AND TT so you need to sign one to a long term deal ASAP. And, that can't be TT because the FO is not sure about tossing him that contract yet. What you said is not true. If we extended Gimore now we would save (depending on the structure) approx. $2 million a year in cap. It would help being tight to the cap. He may know Rex's D, but, I think his tackling is very bad. I know tackling isn't the most important skill for a CB....but, his tackling is bad. And, anyone who says he can play safety....I don't think so. He is way too small for that. And, on top of being too small for safety, Rex seems to like bigger than average safeties. I think Leodis is a #4 CB right now. That is fine. If he was on the team doing that and NOT returning kicks or punts, fine. But, if someone is better bring them in. If there is a younger player with more upside and/or can play STs bring them in. I am fine with Leodis taking a pay cut AND being CB #4 or fighting for his job.

Oh, okay. So, you are not joking. Oh, honey! You started an aggressive thread based on not knowing or thinking you saw something on this? You may have seen an article saying they should go to this kind of system and some owners were interested possibly?! And, nobody in the NFL circles, front offices or media has mentioned this option and who is taking advantage of it. OMG! Oh, honey, no.... None!! Are you telling me you suspect they do? Or that you think they may based on nothing? Do I believe Kraft pays Brady some other way, sure! But, that is the exception, not the rule. And, Kraft and Brady cheating is new, so, they can have a pass.

Strongly agree. Good luck Kraig! Surprised by the move, but, the FO must have better back up C/G options. I BILLieve! -
Charles Clay restructures contract
Manther replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I disagree. I feel like you like to argue and complain. I feel this way because how can you be 100% sure Whaley and company are wrong? Why are you 100% right? Otherwise you would be a GM in the NFL. This isn't Maddon. IMO you are more passionate about the cap and arguing than the Bills. And, surely don't enjoy healthy conversations with Bills fans. Please stop ruining the threads you aren't even slightly amusing, open minded, have any common sense and are just bitter!! Don't be bitter, be better!! Who is we? -
Not a big fan of hope when it's possible to take error out of the equation. I prefer the Bills to resign Gilmore now and keep their leverage and building blocks in place.
-
I understand. I am saying Gilmore and TT are both under contract this year and not next year. And, they can only use the TAG on one of them. Did you even read what I wrote?
