  1. Murray is a better argument than Peterson. That said, I am happy with Shady. Not dull being a Bills fan these days is it?
  2. No way FJ out gains McCoy next year barring injury. Fred has slowed down but will be on the roster next year. It will likely be his last. He has lost a step or two and RB is a young man's position in a young man's league. From a leadership and serviceable change up perspective, he gets another year.
  3. Me too! And in the ugly colors to boot. I don't feel good about wearing it and can't bring myself to burn it... Well at least it was a gift...
  4. I really hope we can resign Hughes now.... Initially, I was really shocked and my visceral reaction was to question the trade because I absolutely loved Kiko as a BB. I really wanted to see our stellar D with him on the field. Moving to a 3-4 would argue we need to have talent at LB now more than ever. That said, getting McCoy is a huge upgrade over the RBs we have on the roster, Spiller included. It brings a quality top end talent to a position of relative weakness. We give up a lot to get a lot. I like it more and more, but I am really disappointed and saddened to lose Kiko.
  5. WTF?! I hope we get more the just a half used up RB for our best LB! We better find him an OL quick!
  6. I really like Hughes but someone will overpay him and I'm hoping it's not us. We need to go sign a couple more OL who can play the game plus address QB, RB, S and TE either through FA or the draft. It's the Levitre question all over again. We shouldn't overpay a player even if he is better than average.
  7. I like the Bills WRs at four deep. Too many other areas of need to worry about than WR! OL, QB, TE, S and RB are all more attention worthy than WR.
  8. I don't see any scenario that EJ is not in camp and competing for the starting gig.
  9. The importance of a good kick returner have diminished significantly with the new kick off rules. Returns are nearly non-existent. A PR adds value. Carrying someone who might have a ball thrown is way once or twice a game and then not contribute meaningfully on STs seems like a luxury we can ill afford. Rather carry and extra DB.
  10. Very ugly light fixtures. The place looks pretty dated to command that kind of scratch...Needs some serious updating. I'd low ball him at maybe $1MM. He only paid $1,050,000. http://www.zillow.com/homedetails/790-Lebrun-Rd-Amherst-NY-14226/30262889_zpid/
  11. - love to have Hughes back, but someone will overpay him. He's gone and while I am disappointed, I can't blame him for maximizing his value. Must re-sign Dareus as Williams is likely to begin to slow down leaving us a major problem without Dareus. OL is already the major problem.
  12. Sorry, no. The guy has marginal talent. Late round pick who can't crack lesser line ups. Why is this even being discussed?
  13. No tag. That would be over paying him. I suspect he'll shop around and then come back with a bottom line offer for OBD to consider. If he is smart, he'll resign and be part of something special. If he can get the big deal for long term with guaranteed money, then I thank him for his efforts as a Bill and wish him all the best in the future.
  14. I completely agree - please pass the pipe!
  15. Depends on weighting and how much you stack the value at QB. I assume high QB value and in that case, it isn't far off.
  16. No - I pass, but Stevie would drop it...
  17. I'd give him a look only because we have to do something.
  18. Can't agree with you at all. Jerry played very well this year both rushing the passer and against the run. He stacks up on paper as an elite DE. I do believe he benefited from the scheme and those around him. Paying him based on his stats would be a mistake as we can only afford spending so much money on the DL. He's likely to leave with a big contract to some other team desperate for a pass rusher. Kudos to him and I wish him luck. He's not worth tag money, but he is very good and will be missed.
  19. Behind a good to great OL, the choice of RB is pretty moot. Witness, Denver historically and the Pats recently. RI is in instant upgrade and takes a team that had no guard who would start on any other team and upgrades to maybe middle of the pack. Pick up another OG or one of the Cs steps up and we're talking OL that is better than most. With our D, we beat teams that struggle stopping the run and compete with those that can. 9-7 becomes 11-5 and we beat the friggin Pats. I'd draft a mid round RB to go with FJ and watch them both excel. Pears, Urbek and Spiller all go...Its not dull being a Bills fan these days!
  20. Stating the obvious: If he helps us win, then he's a great signing. If he is a distraction and hurts the team, then not. Another guy who may be getting his last chance in the NFL (like Rex). I say do it then go sign the second biggest OL bully.
