  1. The worst part was when Beene got rid of Wood and Incognito and didn't get anything in return.
  2. I don't think KB has much value. He's easily the worst #1 receiver the Bills have had since I started following them. I started in the mid 80s.
  3. If I remember correctly, I think he wanted some control over the roster as well.
  4. Its pretty simple. He was really bad. Like, all-time bad. You bench someone who performs that poorly. Its quite logical.
  5. I thought we'd have to endure growing pains at quarterback. I just didn't realize how painful the rest of the team would be.
  6. You can't do this poll without Gary Marangi. (edit: I didn't see your qualification - he took over because of injury) "In 1976, Joe Ferguson was leading all quarterbacks in most statistical categories going into the 7th game against the New England Patriots, Ferguson sustained a back injury and was sidelined for the season. Marangi replaced him and finished the season completing only 82 of 232 passes (35.3%) for 998 yards, 7 touchdowns and 16 interceptions. His 35.3 completion percentage is the worst all-time completion in a season (minimum 200 attempts)."
  7. I think he's going to do a great job. I've been impressed with the flow and playcalling so far. Seriously.
  8. He wasn't here long, but he always did a great job of interacting with the fans - in person and on twitter.
  9. This one is gold! https://buffalonews.com/2014/10/30/gallery1594/#image=17
  10. It looks like Scott Berchtold is giving Vince Lombardi's desk to the Hall of Fame. Does this somehow lift the curse and allow the Packers to win a game in Buffalo? https://www.facebook.com/groups/189544431377774/permalink/677157309283148/
  11. Terrel Owens has just run a 4.43 40 yard dash at the age of 44. Here's my plan: sign him for the last 6 games of the season. Superbowl. Remember when we gave him the key to the city? Well, according to Wikipedia, there were stipulations. He never earned it! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Keys_to_the_City_in_the_United_States#Buffalo That only means one thing: unfinished business. T.O. will be supremely motivated. Sure the Hall of Fame is a big deal, but he's gonna want to come back and finally earn that key.
  12. I think this is why you have so many new people on your list. You're only considering what people think now - not how people felt at the time when each of these controversies was at its height.
  13. I was in a waiting room at Sisters Hospital when the verdict was read. Half of the waiting room was cheering. Meanwhile, there was a middle-aged white woman next to me who was literally crying saying, "I can't believe this". I can't say any other Bills player has elicited that wide of a range of emotions.
  14. Ray Bentley. Dude was writing childrens' books instead of practicing. It drove people nuts.
  15. I agree with this completely. Watkins is definitely more controversial than Taylor.
  16. I wasn't around in the 60's, but how has the Mad Bomber, Daryle Lamonica not been mentioned?
  17. Dear heavens. I forgot about that game. The whole thing was made worse by Bucky Gleason writing that hit piece on Flutie in the week before the game.
  18. Flutie has become less polarizing as time has gone on, because Rob Johnson's career amounted to nothing. ...but at the time there were a lot of people in Rob Johnson's corner because when he was good, he was really good (including, "The Coach" Chuck Dickerson who railed on this nightly). There was a sense of hope with Rob - that he could become a top-line franchise quarterback. In fact, he may belong on this list more than Doug does.
