  1. I found 2:30 as the scheduled time........Only found it in 1 place. Trying to confirm.
  2. Yeah, thought that was funny......Russo said late breaking news from One Bills Drive: Said there was a PC scheduled for tomorrow afternoon and that the Bills didn't say what for. That is what he said.......yeah......really late breaking. I'm trying to find a time, but no luck yet. If someone comes accross it, I'd appreciate the help!
  3. PC scheduled tomorrow afternoon per Channel 7........no time announced yet, but there will be a PC tomorrow.
  4. HA! Don't even give this guy the satisfaction of a reply. Obviously he has no clue what he is talking about. Let's just forget about all of this and move on....
  5. I saw this on another board and thought it might lighten the mood around here!!! Let's have some fun! "D I C K rises to the challange, becomes Bills' new HC"
  6. I will be the first to go on record and say that Jauron will be a VERY good coach here. I have been doing a lot of research on him and finding out as much as I can on him and while he does have a less than perfect record, I really think he will be a good coach here. It will all start with a good coaching staff. And, I am ver confident that if he selects a GREAT OC, he will be ver successful here and will prove to be a good coach. I know that he is not the popular choice here, but I really believe that starting with the PC when he is introduced, you will see some people start to change their minds about him when they hear him speak about his coaching philosophy. Granted, there will still be those that want to run him out of town on a rail before he ever coaches a game here, but it is what it is. I'm telling all of you right now that this guy will surprise a lot of people. I just hope more people just give him a chance. If he doesn't succeed, well, then we will move on. But, don't run this guy out of town before he even officially accepts the job and actually works here for a bit! That just doesn't make sense. I know that there is this preception around here that there is a RIGHT and WRONG answer for the head coach here. Well, that is simply impossible to know before the guy even coaches a game here. So, if Jauron wasn't your first choice (not sure he was mine either), don't just give up and act like the world is over. Give the guy a chance and you might be surprised! So, once again, I will be the first to say that Jauron will WIN here and will be successfull!!! Now, who's with me?????!!!!!!!
  7. To correct people on this........here is how the salary for Sherman would have worked. GB would have had to pay the difference between whatever the Bills were paying for him and the 3.25 mill he was making in his GB contract over the next 2 seasons until that contract expired. For example, if he were to continue to make the 3.25 mill and the Bills were to pick up 1 mill of that, GB would have been on the hook for the other 2.5. This topic was actually reported over the last couple days saying that it would help Sherman's case for the job because actually he would have been the CHEAPER way out for the Bills. So, actually, the Bills will spend more on Jauron than they would have Sherman. The Bills' did not take the cheap way out this time. They actually spent more money to get Jauron!
  8. It's funny.......the guy hasn't even had his PC yet and he is already being run out of town! Give the guy a chance! This guys is good. Better than what his record shows. I predict now that people will be giving the guy a chance after they here him at the PC. He is a great speaker and knows his stuff. Once they hear his philosophy, I think people might come around a little! Please just give the guy a chance.
  9. I said in my other posts that this board would just be lit on fire when Jauron was named coach. I know he wasn't the popular choice here. In fact, he wasn't my choice either.......however, we have to give him a chance!!! Let him actually coach here first before you run the guy out of town!!! I have a good feeling about this for some strange reason. If he hires a great OC, we will be IN GREAT SHAPE!. This guy knows DEFENSE!!!!! He is VERY GOOD ON DEFENSE. So, let's give the guy a chance here. Let him hire a staff and we'll take it from there. But don't run him out of town before he even has his PC!!! We are all Bills fans here. We have to trust Marv and what he believes is best for the organization! If this is what he believes is best for the organization at this point, then let's give it a chance. I have heard A LOT of very credible football people say that Jauron will win a Superbowl. If that is the case, then I am glad he is here. Also, a lot of players who have played under him have said that he got a raw deal in Chicago. He was Coach of the Year!! He was also a runner up for the same award the year he was let go! So, let's just give the guy a chance. I will at least. GO BILLS!
  10. Jauron has a definate chance to be the HC......Could very well happen!
  11. OK guys and gals.......There has been a lot of information out there. A lot of rumors and reports that will turn out to be fact or fiction. With early next week (Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday) likely being the day we will all find out, I am asking all TBD posters to state their final predictions as to who the Bills' new Head Coach will be. If you want to show off and predict the assistants as well, that is more than welcome. But it is time to put up or shut up. Take a stance now! Remember, this is what you think WILL happen, not what you HOPE will happen. GOOD LUCK! MY PREDICTIONS: HC - MIKE SHERMAN (Although I am not ruling out Jauron here....BUT, Sherman is my guess) OC- JIM CALDWELL DC -JIM BATES
  12. Doesn't help us much on the scoreboard......
  13. I have seen just about every game this year and this one, by far, has been the worst officiated game of the season.....
  14. For those watching the game........that was VERY BAD OFFICIATING!!! Ton not even review that goal is just pathetic.
  15. If Juron does not end up being the guy, then what was the point of bringing in Levy as GM? He is the GM and is responsible for hiring the coach. If this feud with Wilson is true and Levy wants Juron and Wilson wants Sherman, there is no reason why it shouldn't be Juron. This is the GMs call....... If this is true and Ralp ends up picking the coach, the why is Marv even in the GM position? This is why Marv was supposedly brought in here......to bring stability of the organization. He should be responsible for hiring the coach. I personally don't care who ends up being the coach because I, unlike most people here, like BOTH candidates. I like Juron and all that I hear about him. Some VERY well respected people in the football world say that Juron is a VERY GOOD coach who will win a Superbowl someday. Obviously there is no guarantees, but that works for me. Also, I truly believe that Juron didn't get a fair shake a Chicago because he was never given the best talent. So, I will not mind Juron if that turns out to be the case. Sherman has his positives as well. In fact, when all this started, he was my clear cut pick. But, I am not going to make any judgments on any of these guys until they COACH THE TEAM!!!!!! LET'S SEE WHAT THEY DO FIRST BEFORE WE ALL JUMP TO CONCLUSIONS!!!! I personally feel that the OC and DC positions are just as importnat as the HC. I need to see the staffs that these guys put together. I need to see how they are going to run the team. There is a lot that goes into all of this. Not everyone will be happy with the decision. It is impossible to please everyone. However, personally I am going to give whoever the coach is my full support and hope that they put a winning product on the field. But, maybe I am a little different than other people here. I am willing to give the new coach a chance to succeed based on their own merits and what they produce on the field HERE.....not on what they have done elsewhere. This is all about the future....not the past. I want the guy who will win a Superbowl here. I have to give whoever the coach is the benefit of the doubt at least until they coach a single game here.......
  16. I told everyone yesterday that I was going to reserve judgement on the whole coaching situation until after the Press Conferance today. So, here I am......not exactly sure what to think anymore. Just seems as though this whole thing is some sort of bad reality show or something. But, there were some points of interest from this Press Conferance that I think are worth mentioning. Perhaps the 1 thing I took away from today is just how much Marv really wants to coach again. And, I have a feeling I am not the only one. I got the suspicious feeling that Ralph got that feeling for the first time today as well. I think Ralph might have just realized just how serious Marv is about coaching again and he learned this right in front of all of us today. I'm sure Marv's comments were a little shocking to Mr. Wilson. With that said, I would not doubt for a second that Marv will get SERIOUS consideration for the position (especially since he can basically hire himself). With that said, I hope it doesn't happen. We are now looking for our 3rd coach in the last 4 years!!! How many years could Marv really do it for? 2.....maybe 3? I don't want to be going through all of this again in just a couple years. But, with Marv as GM, we probably will anyways since he can't be the GM forever either. Anyways, I am not looking to take a step back with Marv. I love the guy as much as everyone else, but we need to move forward in a big way. As for the other candidates out there right now.......I am not sure what direction I want this team to go. However, I am a little dissapointed in the list of early candidates that we are hearing. Gray and April simly are not ready at this point and I seriously doubt ever will be. Juron is not interesting at all and I think he might even be a step backwards. And, that leaves 1 candidate (at least of the ones that are being seriously talked about)......we all know who it is and I admit I spent a lot of the night last night saying that he is NOT good enough. However, I am willing to give whoever they bring in a chance. I want to see the entire coaching staff first before I have an opinion. If Haslett does come in here, it probably wouldn't be the worst decision ever made. He does have some strong points, but he definately will have to improve. A great coaching staff will help this along nicely. So, if he turns out to be the choice, so be it. I will support him 100% (as I will with whoever they bring in here as I just WANT TO WIN). With all of that said, I haven't hear Sherman's or Fassell's name come up really at all. I find that a little troubling as I think they are both good coaches. I just want to know that when the Bills name a head coach, they really did all they could to bring in the best guy. So, I do hope that they at least bring these guys in for interviews. Who will get the job? That is the $1,000,000 question (but I hope that Ralph is true to his word that cost is not going to be a factor for the new coach). I know there are a few rumors going on out there about Jeff Fisher and Marty, but it is hard to take them seriously at this point. IF.....AND I STRESS IF, these guys are available to the Bills, there is potential to get a GREAT coach. I'm talking about Jeff Fisher. IF it were possible for the Bills to get him.....I WOULD DO IT IN A HEARTBEAT!!!! I believe he is one of the best coaches in the league. The Bills would be crazy to pass him up if he did become available. Will he be available? Probably not. But that would be the best case scenerio. If I was forced to make a guess at this point......I say Haslett gets the job for a number of reasons that we all know. Would that be a good move? Who knows. We'll have to wait and see. But, the one thing I do know is that the leading candidate may already be a part of the Bills' organization.....RIGHT MARV?

  19. I know there is a lot going on with the Bills today with the Press Conferance tomorrow and the new head coach (looks like that is what will happen), but there is something just PI**ING me off and has for days. Is anyone else as annoyed as I am that every time I turn on ESPN, ESPN2, NFL NETWORK, or any other sports station, that there is always some sort of PATRIOTS crap on? EVERY FREAKING TIME I TURN ON THE TV!!! I know they have won the last several years, but COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There is more to talk about than the SAME OLD STORY all the time about the SAME TEAM!!!!!!! Sorry, it is just getting on my nerves. As for what is going on with the Bills......I will make some comments tomorrow after I hear what they have to say. Needless to say I am THRILLED that MM looks to be out, but if this stuff about his family is true, that isn't right. Personally, I think he is struggling to filed a staff. But, I will reserve all comments until after the press conferance tomorrow! In the meantime, PLEASE GET THE STUPID PATRIOTS OFF MY TV!!!
  20. Good post. And I appreciate the feedback. And I do see some of your points..... However, I think we might disagree on which QBs are good and who isn't. Personally, I don't like Mark B., Kyle O., or Rex G. as much as you might. In fact, I think they are all about average at best. I don't know if I would take any of them over Losman at this point. The Skins had like 143 TOTAL yards of offense the other day and still won. Mark B. was terrible. And the bears all years averaged only 13 points a game or so (that might even be more than they actually did). So, what I am saying is that right there shows you that you don't need a superstar at QB to win. You can get a pretty good QB for 4 Mill a year. And like I said, I think a guy like Losman would be fine behind this O-Line. He has shown he can make the throws when he has time and can step into the throws. He has shown that he can get himself out of trouble when needed with his feet. Where he struggled is that sooooooooo many times this year he had 2-3 seconds to throw the ball and he tried to force things or make something happen. Behind a good line, he won't be rushed as much. So, that is where I am on the QB. About the WR.....I guess I may think that Evans is better than you do. Like I said, I would take 3 Lee Evans type receivers at WR. He has VERY GOOD HANDS and GREAT SPEED. He doesn't drop many balls at all. He is a a GOOD receiver that can do most everything. 3 guys like him will get open and won't drop the ball that offten. As for where the lineman come from......I agree the draft could be very important in doing this. If I were drafting, I would draft BIG guys on both sides of the ball the first 3-4 rounds every year. They could be the future. But, I think FA guys have a big place on my team as well. For example, take a look at what has come out the past couple years......Bentley and Hutch this year.....Woody and Demulling Last year among others. Those are guys that can be had for the right $$$$$$$$$. That is why I allocate so much money to the O-Line. And, due to my drafting system of drafting Big Men high........if one of the FAs hit the wall or goes down, there will be talent there to back up the STARS. You won't lose too much this way. Remember guys, this plan is just an outline. It is not exactly perfect, but I wanted to show you that if you build a team right....FROM THE LINES OUT.....you will WIN! Sure the plan is not exact, but it is impossible to be exact unless you are really managing a team and looking at the players you want......But, this is the idea.
  21. I DID account for the future contracts saying that you WILL have a DOWN year every now and then. BUT, like I said earlier, I will trade 4-5 GREAT YEARS for every 1-2 DOWN YEARS that you will have due to contracts. As a matter of fact, I said I would take 10 DOWN years for 1 SUPERBOWL WIN! This concept outlined above would give you a great chance at winning consistantly. Sure, you will have a bad year now and then while you get yourself out of cap trouble, but I BELIEVE IN GOING FOR IT NOW.....Win one and worry about the future when it gets there. But even if you have a DOWN year or 2, you can reimplement this plan over and over......but yes, you will have a bad year now and then because of the cap. BUT I'd really like to have a realistic shot at winning the whole thing instead of making the playoffs every year and losing in the first round. GO FOR IT!
  22. You have to ralize with this plan, I am not taking into consideration new, upproven players. The reason my O-Line is so expensive is because I am getting these guys through FA. THEY ARE ALREADY PROVEN GUYS THAT ARE CURRENT STARS IN THE LEAGUE. And I disagree with your points that guys might not be as good in some places as others.....For example, Orlando Pace or Walter Jones or other STUD OT will be A STUD tackle whereever they are. TALENT and ABILITY don't suddenly disappear because they are in a new place. Also, you have to realize that they will have other STUD linemen next to them making them that much more dominant. And, you say that average talent at WR won't get it done.....well, I know that Lee Evans is not making 3 MILL per year yet....You give me 3 LEE EVANS type players at my WR positions and YOU WILL BE JUST FINE.....In fact, to go 1 better, if you went with 3 ROSCOE PARRISH types at the WR positions with this line, you would be fine. Remember, you can't coach speed and those guys are talented enough to get the job done. Also, I did explain that the backup positions are, on average, making 1 Mill a piece. That allows for a few quality backups at certain positions....but remember, in this case, even if a Josh Stamer had to step in due to injury, you won't be hurth that much because of the way the team is built. Granted, if you got a bunch of starters injured, you might have some problems, but if you stayed relatively healthy, you will be in great shape. And yes, I am hurting the future a little bit with the way the cap is structured here. But like I said above....I would gladly tak 4-5 WINNING YEARS for every 1 BAD year. I would do it in a heartbeat because the goal is to WIN the SUPERBOWL. And I do believe you HAVE TO GO FOR IT. If that means a 6-10 year every 5 years, I have no problem with that.....But, if you can make and sometimes with the Superbowl 1 time in 5 years........I'll take the losing year. Maybe some of you wouldn't, but I would take 10 losing seasons in a row for 1 Superbowl WIN! I appreciate the feedback guys. I know the plan is NOT perefect, but what I am saying is that if you follow this line of thinking, you will be a lot more successful than investing tons of money in skilled positions. Oh....and 1 more thing.....why do you necessarily need 53 players? There are some that never play in a single game. There is NO reason you couldn't use just 50 players. No reason at all. But I knew some may not agree with that. That is why I built this plan on using 53 players. Anyways, thanks for the feedback guys.
  23. I agree!! But, not all those guys could be had this year.....I tried to make a line that COULD be put together if you wanted to sign the big contracts. I know mine wasn't realistic either, but a little more realistic than this one......although I do like your line better!
