  1. I would be VERY happy with Huff. IF he is there at #8 (and DA BRICK is not), I would take him and then try and move up to Chicago's #26 pick in the first round to grab Mangold. If we got both Huff and Mangold somehow, this draft would be a success no matter who else we draft in the later rounds!!!!!
  2. Maybe I am in the minority, but I would consider this. DA BRICK will be a stud LT for the next 10-12 years......no doubt. Tough to pass that up if you have a chance. But, I still like the idea of trading down a couple spots to pick up Justice and maybe moving up back into the late 1st to pick up Mangold. You would immediately be better up front. Then concentrate on DT in the 3rd. But, I would consider trading he 2nd for DA BRICK. He is well worth it in my opinion!
  3. I think the Bills could get better in a hurry tomorrow if they wanted to. Here is what I would consider doing if I was the Bills. At #8, I would weigh the options. I personally would draft DA BRICK (if a miracle occurs and he is there). If he is not there, I take a long look at Huff. If, they don't feel Huff is the man, I would trade down, probably just a couple spots to Arizona or St. Louis and grab Winston Justice. At this point I wait around a while and see how things are unfolding. If the Bear's bick comes up (#26) and Nick Mangold is still on the board, I make the move up to grab him. It will probably cost us our #2 and a #3. That will leave us without a 2nd, but we still have 1 3rd a 4th, and 2 5ths. I take a look at DT in the 3rd round........a John McCargo maybe if he is still there?????? He has been slated as a 2nd or 3rd rounder. We maybe even can package our 3rd and two 5ths to move up to the 2nd round if we have to to get him. So, here is what I would say we could be looking at if we wanted to get creative: 1. DA BRICK or Justice (either 1 would be huge) 1a. Nick Mangold 2. John McCargo Those 3 picks alone make this team better. That would leave us with our 4th, 6th, and 2 7ths. I would consider this a fantastic draft. I know, it is a little far fetched, but it could happen if they wanted it to. Oh well, no matter what happens, it will be fun (as long as the Bills don't take Ngata or Winston......both are soooooooooooooo overrated and will be busts...backups at best)
  4. Kind of unlikely, but it could happen. What happens when Williams goes to Houston and New Orleans decides to take DA BRICK? Bush will still be on the board at #3. It has long been thought that Tennessee was going to pick up a QB. But what happens if the unthinkable happens and they are looking straight at Bush at #3? I would think they would have to think long and hard over taking him anyways. They really don't have much at RB. Chris Brown....always hurt. Henry....well, he is Henry. So, why wouldn't they want Bush? If they take Bush, the QBs could be slipping a bit. Oakland will probably take 1 of them, but that will leave 2 more out there at our pick? All of a sudden a slight trade down becomes the move if the Bills' pick really is Bunkley. There is a lot that will play out tomorrow. This might be the most exciting draft in the last 10 years. So many things can happen. Enjoy the draft everyone!
  5. With all of these new developments, I agree that this is the exact way it will go down. If New Orleans chooses to stay at 2, they will take Bush as well and the Jets at #4 will take DA BRICK. But this is the order that will happen regardless of the teams that trade.
  6. It will hurt us big time if the Jets trade up with New Orleans. The Jets will take Bush, but then New Orleans will DEFINATELY take DA BRICK at 4. So, unfortunately, it is looking even worse for us to get DA BRICK. The only way he gets to us is if New Orleans takes Bush and the Titans proceed to take Young and the Jets take Leinart. So, what was an impossibility before in my opinion (us getting DA BRICK) becomes even tougher in my opinion. There is NO WAY DA BRICK gets by #4 now, in my opinion. This move hurts us more than helps us.
  7. There are 2 guys in this draft that a lot of people have rated highly that I want NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING, to do with...... Ngata and Winston BOTH WILL BE HUGE BUSTS IN THE NFL..... Now, I am not real high on Bunkley either, but I think he will be a solid player....not a superstar, but a solid player. I do not like him at 8 though......I just think it is too high. I'd like to see us draft the best player available at that spot. If Huff is not there for some reason (along with any other of the top 7) trading down a few spots for Justice or Bunkley would not be a bad idea. I don't like either of those guys at 8. If I had it my way, DA BRICK would fall to us at 8 and we would trade up with Chicago to get back in the first round and draft none other than Nick Mangold!!!!!! Talk about improving an O-Line!!!!!!! Ya, I'm dreaming, but that would just be the best thing that could happen to the bills.
  8. To me, there are only 2 guys worth trading up for (besides Bush) and they are DA BRICK and Super Mario. The problem is, they will both be gone by #4 as it sits now. Tenessee won't be trading anywhere, so unless you want to work out a trade with New Orleans or NY, we won't have a shot at those guys.
  9. As I stated before, the only way DA BRICK falls to us is this: HOU - Bush NO - Williams TEN - Young NYJ - Leinart GB - Hawk SF - Davis OAK - Huff, Ngata, or someone else besides DA BRICK BUF - DA BRICK I will be doing backflips if this happens, but I truly expect DA BRICK to be gone by #4 at the latest.
  10. I agree with a lot of you in the fact that Levy is more likely to want to trade down than up. I know there are some rumors out there about Jauron wanting to move up for DA BRICK or Hawk, but I just don't see it. As much as I would love it if we got DA BRICK, I just don't see Marv wanting to trade up. In fact, I don't remember the last time we traded up, pre-Donahoe era. I was thinking today though.....if Nate isn't going to get signed long term, could he be used as trade bait? I mean, would you give up #8, Nate, and maybe our late 5th to move up to 2 to grad SuperMario or DA BRICK? I think I would do that. I don't know if that is enough for New Orleans, but I would at least make that phone call. What do you guys think?
  11. I like it! Come on guys.....just 3 days to go now! Keep the guesses coming! I like the creativity of you guys. Just goes to show you that although it seemed this draft was going to be pretty set early on, with the moves that New Orleans made, it is not as set as it one was. As for the Bills, I think a lot depends on 3 teams that are ahead of them.......New Orleans, Tenessee, and the NYJ. As you all know, I really want DA BRICK on this football team this year, but I only see 1 way that happens. And that is this..... New orleans takes Super Mario. Tenessee takes Vince Young, and the Jets take Leinart. I don't think the Jets want anyhting to do with Young, but they really want Leinart. If he is there, I think they take him. If this happens, I could see DA BRICK there at 8.....still unlikely though as a team woulod probably trade up to get him. He is just too good not to be a top 7 guy. Oh well, guess we will see. I just can't wait until Saturday!!!!
  12. Let's go Sabres!!!!! They dominated the Flyers tonight! A long ways to go though.....but it has been fun so far!
  13. I like any draft with us getting DA BRICK! I'll especially like it if it is the real 2006 NFL Draft! HA!
  14. That would be an absolute dream!!!! I could see it happening this way, but not likely....you could see it this way though: 1. HOUSTON - BUSH 2. NO - M. WILLIAMS 3. TENNESSEE - V. YOUNG 4. NYJ - LEINART 5. GREEN BAY - HAWK 6. SAN FRAN - V. DAVIS 7. OAKLAND - NGATA 8. BUFFALO - D'BRICK 9. DETROIT - HUFF 10. ARIZONA - CUTLER I think this may our best shot at getting D'BRICK.
  15. Ok, I know, the draft is still 1 week away and information is changing on a daily basis, but I wanted to give everyone a chance to make their picks!! That's right.......time for all you experts out there to make your picks! Place your top 10 selections in your message, including any trades you might see developing! Here we go: 1. HOUSTON - BUSH 2. NEW ORLEANS - D'BRICK 3. TENNESSEE - LEINART 4. NYJ - M. WILLIAMS 5. GREEN BAY - HAWK 6. SAN FRAN - V. DAVIS 7. OAKLAND - V. YOUNG 8. BUFFALO - BUNKLEY 9. DETROIT - HUFF 10. ARIZONA - CUTLER Good luck to all. Let's see who the real draft "experts" are around here!!!!
  16. Well, it is becoming more and more obvious to see that the real problem may not be Ralph Wilson at all. It is what happens after it is not his team anymore. If there really is something in the new CBA that states that no new owner can use revenue sharing, then that will probably be it for the Bills in Buffalo after Ralph passes away. If there is such a rule in there, then it is quite obvious that the NFL wants all small market teams out of the league. It is impossible for a small market team to survive and be competetive without revenue sharing. Why this rule even exists is beyond me. But, it is certainly looking pretty bad for the Bills unless they can work somehting out with a new owner. I will just be devistated if they leave. I breathe the red, white, and blue. It would just completely turn everything upside down. Let's just hope and pray hey get this worked out.
  17. Just an idea......what if they lowered the price of suites a bit? I mean, wouldn't selling more suites at say $150,000 be better than selling maybe half the number of suites at $250,000? I am just throwing those numbers out there, but I think the concept is right. There might be a lot more businesses or groups out there that could afford them if they were cheaper. Sell twice the amount at a slightly lower price and there is some more revenue for the team. Also, the idea of a ticket price increase say $15 per seat would generate a lot more revenue. You don't ned to double ticket prices, but people won't be scared away for an extra $10 or $15, especially if that assures the Bills' stability in the area. I just think that there is a lot that they could do, but don't. There is no reason that this team can't remain here for MANY years to come with some creativity.
  18. I totally agree! Now, I myself am a die hard fan and agree that slightly higher prices would be OK....Now, I am not talking about $80-$90 tickets, but if they were at $60-$70, that would probably be OK with most fans....... THAT IS IF WE HAD A GOOD PRODUCT ON THE FIELD TO WATCH! I can't see spending that kind of money for a bad product, but if we had a winning team here, I don't think too many fans would have a problem paying a slightly higher price. BUT, YOU HAVE TO MAKE THE TEAM A WINNER!!!
  19. The BOTTOM LINE that I took away from this PC is this..... IF the Bills meet all the qualifiers for the revenue sharing and get their share from the rest of the league, the tem will be fine. IF the Bills fail to meet those qualifiers, the team is going to be in deep trouble in the long term. Here is the thing......It sounds like the "qualifiers" that Ralph says are in the new CBA may be very close to what the Bills' might be able to meet. He is worried that if one little things goes wrong, a technicality, that the Bills won't qualify even though they deserve to be a part of the revenue sharing. If this happens, the Bills won't break even and will lose money due to the new structure of the agreement. Long term, that will not be good for the Bills and several other clubs. It sounds to me that the owners, especially mid level clubs and small level clubs agreed to this new CBA without completely understanding how it will affect them long term. But it sounds as though Ralph and the owner of the Bengals are the only ones with enough ba**s to say it publically.

  21. I just went over to the Houston Texans message board to see what information they might be hearing and I couldn't believe what I was reading. They were saying that the Houston shouldn't give up anyhting more than a 5th or 6th for Moulds because the Bills were going to be FORCED to cut Moulds because if they didn't, the Bills would be OVER THE CAP!!!!!!!!! HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!! They said that if we didn't cut Moulds we would be 3 Million over! They said that our Cap space, currently 9 million under, did not include Moulds' contract! They said we haven't paid him yet and that if he isn't cut, we will then have to add the 12 Million cap number that Moulds would have to our current Cap!!!! I couldn't believe it! There was one Bills fan over there trying to correct them and tell them that Moulds number is already included into the Bills Cap, since he is already under contract, and we would save 5 Mill or so by trading him wich would bring our number to 14 million under or so. Well, the Houston fans didn't want to hear that. They think that we have to get rid of him one way or another. While that may be true, it is not because of our cap situation. We have pleanty of money to keep him at his current contract if necessary. If we have to get rid of him it is because he will be a cancer in the lockerroom and will be nothing but a distraction. I just couldn't believe that they couldn't understand it. The Bills fan actually provided them with a link to the explanation and they didn't want to believe it. Oh well....... I know this post wasn't really flooded with content, but I did find it funny. One thing I did find interesting is that the Bills now seem to be going for one of Houston's 3rd round picks.......they have 2 for those not aware. If they end up with a 3rd, I will actually feel that this was a fair trade. I think Moulds is better than a 4rth........I thought all along that a 3rd would be fair. We'll see what happens!
  22. Everyone here knows that I a a BRICK fan, but I have to say that the gap between BRICK and Justice is not as big as a lot of people have made it. I like Justice a lot and if he can make the switch over to LT, then I give him a good chance at success. With that said, BRICK is still the best LT in this draft. However, if he is gone by 8, which I am sure he will be, Justice might be a good pick here. I like that pick a lot better than Ngata or Bunkley at this spot. Everett is coming back and will be a very good TE, so Davis, as much as I think is a game changer, is not the pick here either. Now, I do like Huff as well and I think that he may be a possibility simply because we are playing a Cover 2 Scheme now and you need that kind of talent in the SS position. So, here is how I am seeing it break down right now: IF DA BRICK and Super Mario are gone at 8, I think our pick comes down to Justice or Huff.
  23. Those who follow my posts know that I am very high on DA BRICK! He is the guy I have wanted all along and it seems like I have tried to find every excuse for him to fall to 8. It just isn't going to happen. And with New Orleans getting DB, there is a VERY high possibility that he is there guy at 2. Any way you slice it, he doesn't get out of the top 5. It won't happen. With that said, I am in support of seeing what I can do about getting to 2. I am not willing to part with everything, but I would definately check into it and see what they would want. Just won't happen though. I don't see the Bills trading up.
  24. I was not necessarily saying that I hope the Bills definately end up with a Superstar. It would be nice. I was simply pointing out the fact that other teams with the first pick on the second day have "missed" after revaluating the players that were still on the board when Day 2 began. It is not easy to pick a 4th rounder. Very difficult. I just hope that if the Bills do end up with this opportunity that they can step up and make a great pick!
