  1. I think is is a little strange that Moulds is still here........ I mean, there have been 3 releases today, granted not completely surprising, but the 1 guy that has had his foot out the door for the longest is still here. Could there be something in the works? Doubt it, but I suppose it is possible. With that being said, I think he will be cut by tomorrow.
  2. Well, my post is coming true! Two more gone! Milloy and Campbell NEXT????
  3. If you wait to cut him, you will probably not save any money on the cap in the future (you will be paying for a guy that is no longer here.....ie. Moulds). That's all....... I guess I am just frustrated. It just seems that they are all making this harder than it really is. Are you telling me that Seattle who went to the Superbowl this year.........the same team that the Bills smoked just 2 seasons ago......is that much better than the Bills? I just don't get it. It just seems that in today's NFL you can get better quickly. Instead, we have been going backwards the last 6 or 7 years. There just seems to be no progress.....
  4. I love Flethcher.....don't get me wrong. He was out MVP last year. BUT, since we are heading nowhere next year anyways, and given the fact that he isn't getting any younger.....I just didn't know if he was even going to be with us in a couple more years when we hope to make a run..... That's all. I'm not cutting him because of his play.....just because I don't think he will be the same player in a couple years. That's all...
  5. Yeah.....I'd rather suffer through 1 more TERRIBLE/PATHETIC year and right the ship so that in 2 years when Losman (or whoever the QB) is ready and Evans is approaching his prime that we can make a run.......
  6. Vincent Milloy Posey Fletcher Moulds (yeah....i know...pretty much gone already) Anderson Gandy Teague (gone to FA anyways) Villerial Shelton That way we can just start over completely. I mean, we are going to go 3-13 anyways this year, why not rebuild completely? Makes sense. I just hated the fact that it is looking like the season is over before we even hit minicamp.
  7. They must be drunk.........What a stupid move.
  8. 5.2 - 40 yard dash at the Combine (unofficial time) A little slow, but not bad for a guy that big.......
  9. I completely agree.....but like I said earlier, what happens if D'BRICK, Williams, and Ngata are all off the board? That could happen! If that is the case, who do we choose? I think the choice comes down to Davis and Huff. The other lineman are reaches at 8 at this point. So, I guess trading down is an option, but I believe that you have to pick here. Hopefully we won't have too many top 10 picks for many years to come and I just think you have to take advantage of it while you have the chance. And that means taking the best player avaiable. So, if we can't get one of those "Big 3" that we need, then I really think the choice comes down to the guys above....... If that happens, who do you take? Davis or Huff?
  10. Just watching his interview on NFL Network......They ran through all of his records at Maryland and they were most impressive..... Ran a 4.38 40 today Bench Press is 465 lbs Squat is like 685 lbs Had a 42" Vertical Jump today!!!! WOW! He might have just moved up in the draft a bit. If not, as I said before, if the top lineman are not there, this would be a great pick.......despite Everret already being here.....he is an athlete and the combination of him and Everret would be amazing.
  11. Just came back........was out for like 30 mins........
  12. I personally like Davis a lot and wouldn't be unhappy if he was our pick. But the way I see it, with Everret coming back (another guy with huge upsaide) I don't see TE as a pressing need for us. We really need line help on both sides of the ball. But, with that said, if the "top picks" from both sides of the ball are already off the board (ie. D'BRICK, Ngata, Williams), I would have no problem with this pick.
  13. You seem to imply that is the guy I wanted with the 4th overall pick a few years ago.......Well, actually, I din't want him at all. I was very upset when this guy was drafted. So, before you run your mouth, make sure you know what you are talking about. And, no pick is a sure thing. But, ACCORDING TO EVERYBODY, this is as close to a "sure thing" as you can get. Maybe watch some tape on the guy first as well. Develop your own opinion about him instead of just guessing. Many scouts not only have him the best LT in the draft, but the BEST player in the draft! Now, I am not saying that we should trade up to get him...I am jst saying that he would be the only guy worth trading up for. That's all. I have watched a lot of this guy, so to say this "blind faith" you really don't know what you are talking about.
  14. Hey guys. I am watching the NFL Network's coverage of the Combine and I seem to have lost the audio feed from the Network. There is no sound during the Combine or the commercials. I have sound on every other station but this one. I have Adelphia Cable (rip off, I know........but in our apartment complex it is all that is allowed. I hate Adelphia) Anyways, I was wondering if I was the only one or if there are others out there with this problem. Thanks!
  15. The ONLY guy you trade up for in this draft is D'BRICK. PERIOD.
  16. I just hope the rumors of Young's stock falling hard is not true......We need 3 QBs to go in the top 7. As much as I like Davis, I don't want to draft him if at all possible. It is not a knock on him, it is just that we have MUCH more pressing needs than TE.
  17. I like Davis A LOT!!! I think he will be a FANTASTIC TE. However, I just don't know if the Bills would draft a TE this high. They drafted Everett last year and he is a great prospect. I know he was injured and there are going to be some questions until you actually see him play, but I think, even with the injury, with him being on this team, I don't think Davis would be considered by us. However, if D'BRICK and Ngata are both gone, I would love to see us get Davis. He has very rare ability and would create matchup problems all over the field. Just don't know if the Bills are in a position to take him though even with the Everett injury.
  18. Totally right.......3 QBs have to go. I suppose there could be a huge surprise, but those usually don't start happening until the 10th pick. For us to get one of those top 7 studs, I really believe that 3 QBs must go.
  19. Yeah, it looks as though both Ngata and D'BRICK will be gone at that choice. Although thiere will be some great players at the 8th pick, it seems as though there are 7 TOP choices. After that there is a sleight drop off (especially for the Bills' needs). I guess if that happens, Huff would be the guy.
  20. You have to remember, teams are going to do what is best FOR THEM. They are going to draft the players THEY WANT! A team probably is not going to draft someone that is not a need for them just becaue the Bills want them. That would just be plain stupid and would hurt their own teams. Now, I suppose if a team was looking to trade down in hopes of still picking up a player, I could see where that may come into play. However, every team that trades down for a specific player is taking a huge risk that nobody trades up ahead of them to get that player. Also, if teams behind the Bills have an idea of what direction they want to go in, that may be a concern. However, they are still the ones that have to trade up. And with draft picks worth so much now a days, it is not the easiest thing to do. You could really hurt your team by sending draft picks away to move up a few spots. That being said, I want to give up our 1st and two 3rds to the Jets for D'Brick! Ha! I know that might not please a lot of people around here, but I still think that would help us more than hurt us. BRICK is a franchise LT (not a MW bust.....he just isn't) and you can still get a quality player in the second to really help your team. Third rounders may take a while to develop and I think we could handle not having them this year. Oh well, I know most won't agree with this, but just imagine this line next year if I had my way....... D'BRICK GANDY BENTLEY VILLERIAL PETERS That would be a VERY solid unit and would allow JP to develop into the QB we know he can be. Time to throw makes a QB. That would be a great line to allow that to happen! Oh well, I am just wishing that would happen.....
  21. I really don't think NY will be a player for Breese at all. They are WAY over the cap and Breese is going to be comanding TOP dollare, despite the injury. Unless they trade Abe, which could happen. But even then, with having the 4th overall pick to sign and have a lot of holes to fill, I just can't see then shelling out the huge money that Breese will get. Tennesee is another team that I don't see getting involved. They will draft a QB. I can't see them signing a guy like Breese. Also, I still see McNair staying there. Again, that helps the Bills in this quest!
  22. This thought has crossed my mind more than onec. If ever a year where a "shocker" could take place, this may be the year. Houston does need OL help more than anything, however, in the end I think they bow to the pressure and pick up Bush. But yeah, I agree with you, it could happen and by no means am I as certain as most are that Bush is going to Houston. But, like I said, even if D'BRICK gets by the Jests, it will still be very difficult to get him because there will be teams looking to trade up to get him. He is top 5 talent. Might even be the best player in the draft........that's right, the BEST player in the draft and I just can't see him getting to #8.
  23. I agree completely.......that is why when push comes to shove.......unfortunately for us, we will be playing D'BRICK at least 2 times a year for the next 12 years..... Just think.......if we hadn't beat Cinci.........we would have been picking 4th! That win may have cost us a FRANCHISE LT for the next 12 years.... Like I said earlier...the Bills can never catch a break! They even win when they shouldn't! HA! Now, I will never root against the Bills. I want them to win all the time. But you can't help but think that we wouldn't even be having this conversation if that Cinci game goes the other way. Oh well, GO BILLS!!
  24. Well, in my never-ending quest to find even a glimmer of hope that D'BRICK will somehow get to us, I took a little field trip to some other message boards for the following teams: NY JETS GB PACKERS SAN FRAN 49ERS OAK RAIDERS There was a lot of interesting information on those boards. And, while I still believe that it will be virtually IMPOSSIBLE for D"BRICK to fall to us, there might be a VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY SLIM chance. Here is what I was finding. NY JETS Well, this, I believe is the toughest team for D'BRICK to get past. There is a lot of talk about Cutler here, and I think that may be our only hope. We have to hope and pray to God that Cutler lights it up this weekend and the combine. I really see NO taking Leinart and TEN taking Young. I just see that breaking down that way at the end of the day. This leaves the Jets with Cutler or D'BRICK. Now, there is a small chance that Hawk goes here, but that is most likely not happening. In the end, the Jets will probably take D'BRICK, but if not, there may that GLIMMER of hope i was looking for. That is because I see the following happening with the other teams. GB PACKERS There really isn't too much debate here, at least on their message board, that they want to get Hawk or Williams. It seems as though most believe that Hawk will be the pick here, but it could definately be Williams......either way, there seems to be no talk of D'BRICK at all. Not even a mention. They want defense and look to be heading in that direction. That leads us into..... SAN FRAN 49ERS They seem to really want Hawk. There seems to be talk that they will take whoever GB doesn't choose. They want Hawk, but could be willing to take Williams although there are rumors that they may want to trade out of that spot if Hawk is not there. There were some that were calling for D'BRICK here, but to be honest, they just spent a fortune on Jennings last year. I can't see them taking him if he is there, but this is the first mention of D'BRICK since the Jets at #4. With that said, I think he would slide by the 49ers here because they REALLY need defensive help. Huff may be considered here as well, but if Hawk is here, he will be the pick. So, that lease us just 1 more team before our spot. OAK RAIDERS Here is where it gets a little interesting. Not so much in the fact that they want D'BRICK, because I don't think they do, but they really want Super Mario here. HOWEVER, there is a TON of talk over there about another defensive player that will be available at this pick......none other that Haloti Ngata! They are VERY high on him now and there is talk that if he performs well this weekend, he might get the nod here. Seems as though Al Davis loves this kind of player and will not pass him up if he is there and Super Mario is gone. That will probably anger a lot of Bills' fans here as he seems to be the pick that most everyone here wants. He is a solid pick, but it doesn't look as though he will make it to #8 is Super Mario is already gone. That would be a little rough for us because if all these players are gone, we are looking at Safety or Corner.......Huff maybe? Well, I guess I accomplished what I want on my little field trip. I found that GLIMMER of hope, but it is just that...........a glimmer........I virtually guarantee that he will not be there. He is too good a player to slip that far. Even if he gets past the Jets, teams WILL trade up to get him......D'BRICK won't be there. But, in a perfect world where the Bills catch all the breaks, the draft would look like this (barring any trades)........ 1. HOU - Bush 2. NO - Leinart 3. TEN - Young 4. NY - Cutler 5. GB - Williams 6. SAN FRAN - Hawk 7. OAK - Ngata 8. BUF - D'BRICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is the only way it can happen. I am dreaming, but in a perfect world, this is how the 2006 NFL Draft would play out. There is only 1 sleight problem.......the world is not perfect and the Bills ALWAYS GET SCREWED!!!!! The Bills NEVER CATCH A BREAK! But hey, a guy can dream..........THERE IS JUST NOW WAY THIS DREAM COMES TRUE....... Oh well........should be used to it by now being a Bill's fan for the last 27 years........... Maybe someday!
