He was a 2nd round pick actually.

I'd be up for a look on our PS if he doesn't go straigh to LAs but not cracking that receiver room is not a good look! Nope. In fairness Farley is an injury story really. They knew that when they gambled but the upside there was so high. Just couldn't stay healthy.

It's the Daily Fail. More like a comic book than an actual news outlet. -
Who do the Bills want to bring back to the PS?

Believe the waiver window is to noon Eastern. -
It was described to me by people from inside as McDermott technically has the power of veto in that overall in the organisational sense he is the more powerful of the two (although I am interested in whether that might be changing but that is just vibes nobody has told me that) but he doesn't use it to override personnel. He has input, sure he does. The final decision on draft picks, free agent signings and the 53 is Brandon Beane's. I know it because that is how Pegula and Beane have described it and because people I have spoken to who have worked inside that building have said it works exactly how they say it does. McDermott has that overall power but he doesn't override. He has input, but Beane makes the final calls on personnel. I don't know what evidence people think they have that it isn't exactly how the Bills say it is? Other than their narratives created in their heads.

Nah a cut player can be signed to a practice squad. They can only be waiver claimed to a 53. If they pass through waivers they can sign anywhere. The Bills might be playing that game of chicken but its risky. Yes
-
Yea they had him do some nickel and some outside in game 1 and after that he has played exclusively outside. Targeted 10 times he has given up 2 catches for 13 yards. It has been a lot with 3s but some 2s and @HappyDays is right he has played well there.
-
Gone for good. He's be on the relevant minimum for a rookie. Unless cut again he'd become an RFA after 3 years and a UFA after 4. You kinda always have to do one mid Quarterback tenure. That isn't to say I agree with every decision they have made either in the run up to, or during, this league year. But at some point a transition year from Josh Allen team version 1 to Josh Allen team version 2 was gonna be necessary. You just have to hope they remain competitive this year and by this time next year we are all pretty sure the team got better as against where we are today. If that isn't the case then it is an unacceptable failure.

On the 53 the final call js Beane. McDermott has the gamedays actives and coaching staff. The Bills were really clear about this when Beane was hired and as I say the people who have been in the building say it works exactly as they say it does. Beane and McDermott are really collabrative as is the organisation generally but they stay in their lanes and take the final calls they are contracted to take.

I'd have kept Davidson to be clear, but he could only stay if you kept 4 tight ends. Your third tight end has to block and play teams. That is pretty much a given. Davidson does neither. He was never in competition with Morris he was in competition with guys at other spots fighting over those ladt 3 or 4 roster spots.
-
He is a MUCH better special teams player. He is a much bettet blocker than Davidson too. He is probably a better blocker than McKitty but that one is close. Yes. In his intro presser. As did Pegula.
-
Except Pegula and Beane have both said publicly that the final call on the 53 is Beane's and I have spoken to two people who worked in that building, one a coach, on a personnel guy and both said the same - Beane takes the calls, no doubt about it. Do I believe he and McDermott are almost always aligned? Sure. But the accountability for the 53 is on the GM. People can think what they like but they are making up narratives in their heads.
-
Agree on Toohill disagree on Morris.
-
It is. That isn't opinion it is a fact.
-
But then why use a designate to return spot on him? Especially if the rumour that Hardy is hurt is correct? Why not protect a rookie?
-
The 53 is Beane's call. He obviously consults the staff but the 53 is on Beane.
-
We can afford 750k. It isn't a reason to keep a bad vet.
-
I don't buy that he is an average player. If he is in a game we are sunk. Book it.
-
Yea but he ain't the GM.
-
But that money is a sunk cost. He is getting it whatever.
-
Toohill and Morrow are the WTFs there. I had Jonathan and Davidson making it. The Hardy for trade returner makes sense but why not IR Hardy if he is hurt. Instead we are protecting Darrynton Evans?? You may as well call Klein as pay Morrow. He sucks. Evans???? Why????
-
Can only imagine the Hardy calculation is he is hurt so can't sign anywhere immediately and when he is healthy the Bills hope to swoop back in??
-
Morrow making it is a joke. He is hot garbage.
-
WTF they protecting a 4th string running back for???
-
Wow Hardy released. That is a bit of a surprise.
