  1. Your reading comprehension is severely lacking. You must have just not read anything I just posted. Hint hint. The part where I said it was based on results, aka hindsight. Or where I said Chip deserves credit. Pointless discussing further with you.
  2. Maybe my point wasn't clear. I just used the example given by PTR (the first year coach used as example was arbitrary to me)to the poster that said Marrone was finished. You read far more into my post than what I actually wrote. I never said it was foolish or that Nick Foles was a known asset. I never said Chip was a bad coach. You made those inferences yourself. I did say that luck is sometimes involved. See Brady and Warner's first Super Bowl wins where they were both back ups to start the year. Here is what I meant. Please refute anything I say. Based on how the season has played out: Kelly made the wrong QB choice. Vick was not cutting it. Would I have started Vick? Yes. It still ended up being the wrong choice. Kelly was forced to play Foles due to injury. Kelly opted to stick with Foles after determining he was more effective after a few weeks of indecision. Foles has been unbelievable. Chip was getting beat up for not being an NFL coach before Foles blew up. Chip is now getting praised as an offensive NFL genius because of Foles' play. Did he change his offense? Yes. Complete overhaul? No. Does he deserve credit? Yes. Is Marrone already a failure? No. Edit: I just looked up Foles stats from last year. They weren't awful. They look like rookie back up QB'S numbers. I think "notably mediocre" is a bit of a stretch.
  3. So you agree with me that picking a QB is sometimes a crapshoot that can make a coach look better/worse depending on the outcome? Hard to see your point through all the exclamations!!!!!
  4. Vince Young...Good call. I think you just won.
  5. Bob Griffin could end up falling in that category.
  6. I hope we crush them even more than normal because of their fans. They are the worst. On second thought, Miami fans are the worst. Oh wait. The Jests fans are the worst. Never mind. They're all terrible.
  7. I'm assuming you live in Pittsburgh so you might have a closer view of the Steelers. Did Polamalu deserve to get in over Byrd (or Aaron for that matter as they're both SS)? I heard a bunch of talk about him declining this year.
  8. Actually, if we win and Mia, Bal and SD all lose, we would finish one game out of the playoffs. I believe that is quite close. If we win and Mia wins, we finish 3rd in the division. We would also be whatever the opposite of division B word is because we would have the best division record. These are things to build on. GO BILLS!
  9. I was with you for the most part up until you suggested keeping Hogan. He might be able to get open, but as to that, so can Graham. I love what Easley has shown on ST. Wouldn't mind keeping him around just for that (and as an emergency wr).
  10. Based on this year's stats (and not their well known names), Kiko has had a better year than Willis and a comparable year to Bowman. Kiko has been better in some area's and Bowman has been better in some. I have no problem with Bowman over him. He should have got in over Willis though. Better stats in most categories. But it is a popularity contest which is why he didn't (and part of the reason Polamalu did for example).
  11. Did you hear that? It was PTR'S point flying right over your head. Chip Kelly made the wrong QB decision but luckily the QB he thought was better got injured. Foles blew up and now Chip is a genius. Funny how that works.
  12. It stinks cus I've heard he was crushed he couldn't play. He was having himself a pro bowl year. Fun to watch.
  13. Did you really just say we don't have talent???
  14. True. But I was just saying that they aren't all that good. What does them having a better record than us or beating us after getting manhandled by a Jeff Tuel led offense have to do with my contention that they are overrated? Do you honestly feel they are as good as their record? Please don't give coach speak ("You are what your record says you are.").
  15. It's easy to look good when you get to play a joke schedule to start the year followed by playing 2nd or 3rd string QB'S five weeks in a row. I know that you can only play the teams on your schedule, but that can sometimes create fools gold. 9-0 became 11-4 when they started playing starting QB's again... coincidence?
  16. I would. The football offseason is much more interesting to me than game 37 of 162. Remember that really important baseball game this past May? ....Me neither.
  17. I also live in the Syracuse area. Most SU fans I know were upset that they were losing him and thought we were getting a good coach. Some didn't like him, but that seems to be the case for any fan base. Now it's possible the people I talk to aren't the most knowledgeable fans, but maybe you are just making a fake blanket statement about an entire school's fan base to further your crusade.
  18. You can't post positive statistics! It goes against the recent narrative.
  19. Damn. I really think you just proved their point.
  20. Andy Levitre this past offseason: 6 year 46.8$ million.
  21. That's easy. He'll be revered like most back up QB's. As a child, I was convinced that Frank Reich was better than Jim Kelly. There was no way my parents and their friends could be wrong about it (cus they're old and stuff). I can still remember all of the "The Reich Stuff" t shirts and memorabilia...Aah memories.
