  1. Well seeing as how we are the 16th ranked offense out of 32, and that for 5 of our games we played with either a 2nd or 3rd string QB (taking Kolb out of the equation), I'd say you are wrong. As far as anyone's contention that they should have planned better at the backup position, see the Packers. All bets are off when your starter goes down. Do I know Hackett is or can be a great OC, no. But there's no way anyone can know that he is or will be a failure.
  2. Don't know where the basis for this comment came from. Freshman year he was leading his team to a bowl game win before getting injured. Sophomore year they didnt make a bowl game. Junior year he led them to a decisive Bowl victory over WV. Senior year he won the first ever Big Ten Championship and then he did lose the Rose Bowl to Oregon but he played incredible. Didn't really come up small in big games. Admitted Russell lover here though.
  3. Not sure. I thought he took a Holmgren type consultant role but I could be wrong.
  4. You should look at the stats as well. We are better in yards allowed per game and points allowed per game. We are also number one in the league in sacks and near the top in turnovers. So keep drinking your own ill informed Kool aid. Also. Unbelievable! They've won less games while not having played all 16 games. Great analysis.
  5. God I hate defending them but that is such a bad example. What happened? Other than in the first Super Bowl losing because of one of, if not the luckiest plays in Super Bowl history. It was a desperation throw into quadruple coverage that was completed to a mental case on the top of his helmet. Second Super Bowl was just a great game. People need to get over the cheating thing. It's hard for me to believe that all teams don't do the exact same thing the Patriots did. Remember, it was that little rat Mangino that blew them in after having gotten his job due to the Patriots cheating. What team is he the head coach now by the way?
  6. WOW. Just WOW. Please elaborate on how Hackett called a bad game yesterday. Please elaborate on how he fumbled away two chances at winning. I'd love to hear how 400+ yards of offense is bad. John Murphy hung up on every caller who blamed the loss on Hackett today. Wonder why??? Really?? With his best friend Wannstache as d coordinator? With Gailey and crew we might not have won one game.
  7. Ha. Take your time. And remember, it's not your fault.
  8. Should be a great game. Watching Seattle is bittersweet. I loved Russell Wilson coming out of college. I thought (and still think) he was the best QB in that Draft and was really disappointed we didn't take him in the third. Ohhh what might have been.
  9. Our devastating loss to the Falcons? Or the Jets humiliating loss to the Dolphins? Most of the time I would much rather spare myself the heartache, but in this instance I would take ours over theirs for a couple of reasons. 1. We at least had some bright spots. (CJ, Freddy, pass rush) 2. The jury is still out on our QB. He didn't play great but did give us a chance to win. It seems pretty evident to me that Geno is awful and hurts them more than helps them. 3. We have a lot of good pieces. They have a good d line and....um yeah. That's about it. As much as yesterday hurts, I'll take that pain over the fear of showing my face in public because of the inevitable beating I would take from friends and co-workers. My co-workers were actually apologizing to me for the loss as soon as I walked in. I felt like Good Will Hunting with everyone telling me it's not my fault. I'd like to know which option others would choose.
  10. Good point. Lawrence Taylor & Big Ben. Just two of the many examples of clutch players who were/are pieces of garbage off the field.
  11. Widespread panic even though we are tied and getting the ball at the start of the second half... And to think we had a thread making fun of the Jets fan board. Smh.
  12. I guess you'd take it as "a matter of fact" if Stevie said he was the king of England too. Ohhhh yeah. How could I forget. Remember the time Stevie tried to get someone to bomb Foxborough? I'm surprised he's not at GITMO right now. It's a good thing for him the feds don't take his comments as seriously as you. A word of advice. If you ever receive an email telling you that your son is overseas and needs money fast, and you don't even have a son, please don't send money. You're welcome.
  13. I have to disagree here. LT would have been kicked out of the league early in his career if not before it even began if he was in the league today if he followed his regimen. As Rick James once said in an episode of the Dave Chapelle show "Cocaine is a hell of a drug." In all seriousness, I wonder how much being coked up while playing positively affected his play. I'm by no means saying there is anything positive about doing cocaine, but he played like a mad man and that could have been amplified by the drug.
  14. Kiko is a a given but after him I'd say Flash Goodwin. Keeping D's honest since October 2013.
  15. While you are awaiting those answers, please be sure to send an email to Calvin Johnson, Andre Johnson, Hakeem Nicks, Kenny Britt, Michael Crabtree, Rob Gronkowski, Malcolm Floyd, Mike Williams, Miles Austin, Jeremy Maclin, Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb, Julio Jones and Percy Harvin. They all must have a crap work ethic too because they all have either nagging injuries or season ending/ruining injuries.
  16. I now realize you are either truly incapable of understanding tongue in cheek humor or are just on a crusade. I'm glad you know his full workout regiment enough to know he does not follow any of the teams suggestions. Btw. The years he wasn't following the team regiment, he was pretty much getting league minimum and outperforming his pay. I guess the training regiment that made him a top NFL receiver just isn't good enough for you. Fair enough. Nothing will deter you from your mission so have fun.
  17. Maybe I'm wrong but you sound like you never actually heard the interview where Stevie said he didn't work hard. The article below talks about how a lot of people overreacted to that comment because it comes off worse in text. http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2013/2/1/3942564/stevie-johnson-jim-rome-workouts-buffalo-bills
  18. It is true. I know the scheduling is rotational. But those divisions are the best and worst this year. I wasn't talking about last year. Last year, the South was the best division in the AFC. I thought what I was saying was clear based on the stats and context but i guess it could have been interpreted incorrectly. I edited my prior reply so that it is clearer.
  19. Through 4 weeks the AFC was 15-7. It looks like domination but I think it is heavily skewed by the fact that this year the best division in each conference happens to play the worst division in the other conference. The best division in football is playing the worst (NFC West VS AFC South). The second best division is playing the second worst (AFC West VS NFC East). Interconference records AFC East vs NFC South: 8-5 AFC North vs NFC North: 4-7 AFC South vs NFC West: 3-12 AFC West vs NFC East: 9-4
  20. The NFC is not vastly superior. That's a huge misconception largely popular because of the lack of research and bias of the four letter network. The NFC is 28-24 against the AFC. So yes they are a little better. But the AFC also has the ridiculously bad South. Btw. Tampa Bay vs AFC East: 1-2. Atlanta vs AFC East: 0-3.
  21. Geno is 5-6. EJ is 3-3. Geno is currently the worst rated QB in the league out of the 44 eligible QB's. So there's that too.
  22. I personally only see one Sure-Fire QB in all of college football, and he can't enter the draft until 2015. That being Jameis Winston. That's not to say guys like Bridgewater or my personal favorite Zach Mettenberger can't be good NFL QB'S, I just think sure-fire pertains to rare players like Andrew Luck. JMO.
  23. It's hard not to expect being disappointed like in recent years, and maybe it's just me, but this year's team just feels different. Where before hope and optimism were the driving forces, this year it's more of a confidence thing. I truly believe our defense is top level and they are the main reason for that confidence. We're healthy everywhere (knock on wood). I literally can't remember the last time we were full strength. I think our offense is just good enough to let the our D carry them to victories. I thought we could win nearly every game last year, but as game time approached, I would feel that all too familiar dread that somehow we'd manage to blow it. I just don't have that feeling this year. Even with all the losses.
