  1. Troup was cut this preseason. No one picked him up.
  2. Agree. I love the ability Leo has returning punts but it's gotten to the point where it's not worth the injury risk having him back there. Especially when all of his good returns get called backed because of penalties.
  3. You're absolutely right. He deserves more this year.
  4. Although my opinion could end up being wrong (even though I feel better about it now than when i originally posted it), what I said is much closer to reality. Things I know: Thomas and Byrd are 1a and 1b as far as free safeties go. Pretty much a wash. Aaron Williams has looked like a stud at SS and has put up pro bowl numbers this year. He's had a better year than Chancellor. Hopefully he keeps it up. Seattle is constantly under suspicion of PED use. Both starting CB's were given suspensions last year. Sherman got off on a technicality. Browner just got another suspension. This time it's a one year suspension. Are they good or just a product of PED's? I wonder how Browner all of a sudden became a shutdown corner after not even being in the league from '07-'10. Hmmm...
  5. Great article about Leo's improvement on the team site. To me, the most interesting statistic given was this: "Opposing quarterbacks have targeted McKelvin 89 times, according to ProFootballFocus, and McKelvin allowed just 42 completions, or 47.2 percent completion. That's the second lowest completion achieved by any of ProFootballFocus' top 20 cornerbacks, despite being targeted more frequently than anyone else in that group." The deal we signed him to last offseason which at first seemed a little crazy looks like a big bargain now. This is a what have you done for me lately league. If he happened to have been a free agent after this year, I bet the market for him would have been much larger and we would have had to spend a good deal more to keep him.
  6. 1052 combined yards. 4.2 yards per carry. 42 receptions. 8 tds....
  7. Oh ok. That's fair. I thought you were saying something else.
  8. I like Thad as a back up too but if you take the Cleveland game out, did he look that much better than Tuel?
  9. I would love to crush Miami's playoff hopes. I will always hate them.
  10. What good/great coach would you hire that actually WANTS to come coach here?
  11. Good news. I just heard they flexed all of our games next year and we now get to play Jacksonville every week at home. Hip hip hooray!
  12. Although my confidence level is higher than yours, I have to admit your concerns are fair. It would be interesting to know the direction they would have taken if they had not identified EJ as their guy and rolled the dice. Do they take Warmack? Thus meaning they couldn't trade back and get that extra pick. We got one of the top five players in the draft (IMO) with that pick. We took Woods before Kiko so maybe they still take Woods and we don't get Kiko. Then they probably don't take Goodwin in the 3rd without addressing MLB or QB. Who knows what would have happened. Hell, we could have ended up with Geno. Terrifying. Question for everyone. If EJ doesn't pan out, would you still consider this draft a success? Would you give back the pieces we got in this draft to go back and not draft EJ.
  13. About 60%. The times we've seen EJ stop overthinking and just trust himself and fling it, which have been fewer than I'd like, he's looked like our franchise QB. My confidence/hope is based on those flashes.
  14. Have to disagree here. When Trestman was hired it was considered to be a move which could either be a slam dunk hire or an epic failure. The jury was out. I remember hearing a lot of criticism and praise of this hire when it happened depending on which talking head was giving his opinion. To say he would have had more respect in coaching circles is a bit ridiculous. By all accounts, Marrone is very well respected in coaching circles (just not so much in Bills fan circles). Same as Trestman. WRT your comment on him being able to turn the franchise around sooner, how do you arrive at that conclusion? If it is just a prediction then i understand, but if it's based on this season's results to date i don't. Trestman took a 10-6 team and turned them into at best a 10-6 team if they win out. Marrone took a 6-10 team and turned them into at best a 7-9 team if they win out. Realistically, I don't see us winning both of our remaining games but I do think we will win one of them. It's hard to say Trestman would have been better.
  15. He's good. I prefer Kelvin Benjamin of Florida State personally but either would be cool.
  16. Sanchez career stats: QBR - 71.7 Completion % - 55.1 Yds/Game - 195.0 Yds/Attempt - 6.5 Pass TD - 68 Int - 69 Rush TD - 12 Fumbles - 42 Butt Fumbles - 1 Good call. Sanchez has clearly shown he is better than EJ.
  17. Fair enough. Kyle is on the injury report every week too but I get ya. My belief is that he is healthy enough to play. He's returning kicks every game. If he was really hurt I don't think they'd have him do that. TJ might have earned his play more in practice but I just think Goodwin can do more. JMO
  18. Always hobbled? Please elaborate with actual facts on this, not just your perception. He had a fluke injury in the first game of the year that held him out until week 6. He's left the game a time or two but came back. Are players not allowed to get dinged up for a couple plays and come back? Was he injury prone in college? Do you assume he's hobbled because his playing time has waned since SJ and Woods came back?
  19. So essentially you are saying drafting a Super Bowl winning QB with the first overall pick is a coin flip? 9 of the 17 QB'S you listed never won a Super Bowl as a starter.
  20. Why waste a pick on that garden gnome Manziel. Those ducks he throws will hang up like crazy here in Buffalo. Not to mention he's likely never going to stay healthy for a full year the way he plays. Here's what we should do. Relax!! If EJ is as bad as a lot of people believe he is (myself not included), then we'll set ourselves up perfectly for the next decade by winning the Jameis Winston lottery in 2015. He is the only sure fire QB in college in my mind. And we wouldn't have wasted a pick on Manziel or any other QB next year. I don't think there is one guaranteed franchise QB coming out. There are legitimate concerns about all of them.
  21. I voted for AW. The kid was a beast and accounted for 10 points. Got us 3 and took 7 away from them.
  22. I didn't miss the point. Maybe you did. I agree we have better depth. I also never for one second said Todman is as good as Spiller. I was just stating that you over exaggerated the comparison to support your point. They played their #2 Rb and #3 & 4 WR's. You compared that to us playing our #3 Rb (if he was still on the team) and our #5 & 6 WR's. Not my fault the Jags talent evaluation isn't as good as ours or that you gave a bad example.
  23. Lol. People like you make me laugh. Let me guess. Your expertise comes because you played QB in high school. And you could have played for a D1 powerhouse (possibly made it to the NFL) if your coach didn't hate you and just sent your highlight reel to some schools.
