Yes true. But we also beat him twice (embarrassingly) his last year as a Jet coach. Let's not forget that.
-
That is what he wants. He is a Jet's fan. = Geno Smith Trying to convince Bills fan to embrace Rex as permanent coach so they can beat us with QB's like Fitz every time.
-
No. Because he has already proven that he can ruin a decent defense. It would be asinine to assume he couldn't ruin another one. It might be harder for him to ruin that one, but he just might be up for the challenge.

Source: Anthony Lynn a potential candidate for Rams HC
PolishDave replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dude is probably thinking WTF was I thinking taking that job in Cleveland. I bet he drinks a lot more often than he used to. And has a good chuckle at how bad the Browns are now. -
Why just the next 3 games? Don't the last 2 count? How did they rally for the last 2? They didn't. They sucked. They had a commanding lead in Oakland and proceeded to quit. Then they came back to Buffalo to play an AFC team in a must win situation and showed up lame right from the start. You don't know that and to assume it is asinine. For all you know they could have taken another step forward and played even better. You're just making things up.

You should change your screen name to Chief Excuse Maker. Make sure you leave no stone unturned in your search for more lame excuses for Rex's lame ass defenses. You want him back, I think the Bills ought to give him right back to the Jets so we can play his defenses again and crush them repeatedly. Guy has been given 2 years to prove himself. All he has accomplished is making a defense worse than it was when he got here. 2 Years is enough in my opinion. I give him a pass on the lame passing offense. But he does not deserve a pass with what he has done to this defense. He sucks. Face it. Way over-rated as a defensive coach. Proof is on Sunday week after week.

Give me a break. Rex inherited an awesome defense and ruined it. He would ruin the Seahawks defense too. Bank on it.

Russ Brandon Attends Monday Morning Football Meetings
PolishDave replied to Fadingpain's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fans pretending to know more about a person's (character/ability/value/whatever) than someone who works with the guy every day. Love it. What makes you think you know Russ Brandon better than Terry Pegula? Fans world. Party time. Excellent. You guys need to get over the fact that Russ Brandon is part (an important integral part) of the Buffalo Bills organization. He isn't going anywhere unless Terry catches him trying to bang Kim. Or unless Terry (for some reason) starts to think Russ isn't doing a good job. The fact that Russ is in Terry's inner circle should tell you exactly what Terry thinks of Russ. Russ is probably about as close a friend to Terry as a guy can get (no homo). You don't fire your buddy that is helping you build your empire unless that buddy screws you somehow. It ain't happening. -
Rex inherited a great defense. He then proceeded to and make it worse - a lot worse. And yet, defense is supposed to be his strong suit? If Rex was honest and willing to change when he is wrong, then he would have re-implemented the defense that was proven to work much much better with this personnel. Rex is the type of coach that wants to make the players fit his system. That is not the kind of coach you want. You want a guy who creates a system to best use the players he has. If he was truly that good of a coach then he would have realized that Schwartz's defense was superior and he would have copied it.

CBS: Rex could be fired, TT benched Monday with loss
PolishDave replied to NoSaint's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Distinct possibilities: 1. Rex is not going to get fired - UNLESS they lose another game & 2. The organization intends on pickup up the TT option unless he plays like crap from here on out and they lose another game or 3. They are waiting to "officially" get eliminated before firing Rex and moving on from Tyrod -
OK, here's where I'm at:
PolishDave replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Which is the main reason Rex should go. He took a really good defense and ruined it. I think he is simply not as good of a defensive mind as he is given credit for. At some point you have to stop accepting excuses from the guy. Hit the road Jack. -

You really want to keep Lynn while getting rid of TT? If you want to move on from TT, then you should also want to move on from Rex, Lynn and everyone else tied to this "run first" offense. Lynn is equally responsible for this steaming pile of crap passing game that we see week in and week out. If you want to get rid of the weeds in your garden, you pull the whole weed out including the roots. -

Seems to me you don't have any real evidence at all. Seems like your imagination is running wild and you are all worked up about something that is only a figment of your imagination. Total mental collapse over nada. Take a deep breath. This too shall pass. -
Kizer = not NFL caliber No thanks.

Well if the Jags hire Coughlin back, then maybe we should hire Chan Gailey back. Fitz would have another starting job. -
We Should Pick Up the Option on Tyrod No Matter What

According to this, his cap hit next year will be just under $16 million. And those numbers are backed up here as well. -
Passing Game Coordinator?
PolishDave replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not a stretch at all. That is Rex's style and philosophy. It would be really interesting to sit in on practices every week and see how well the passing game is being executed in those practices. I am guessing that it isn't being executed well either in practice or on the field during a game. And if that is the case, then it is on the coaches to fix it. Good coaches develop schemes/plays that fit their players. Bad coaches force players to keep trying to execute plays that those players have proven they can't execute well. The coaches are supposed to figure out what plays their players can execute reliably. And figure out why those plays work. And then adjust his playbook/playcalling to put the players in the right situations where they can execute well during the game. The coaches most certainly share SOME of the blame for an ineffective passing game. -
John Madden Is Not a Fan of TNF
PolishDave replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
NFL can't expect fans to get to a 6PM game on a weeknight. Most fans attending the game (including season ticket holders) would have to leave work early or take a day off for the game. = unhappy fans -
I walk into the living room and ask my wife why the hell she has the dog show on tv instead of the football game. She says - I had to change the channel. It is the worst national anthem ever and it is probably still in progress. I made her flip back to the game and proceeded to laugh my ass off at that butchering. My god. If you have not seen it yet, you have to watch it. Take that old B word out and shoot her. Put her out of her damn misery. Maybe Trump will throw her out and declare her an enemy combatant after that disgraceful puking performance.

I just puked a little. His head got that way from having it shoved up HIllary's arse.. buh dump bum. Looks like it is a bit of a squeeze, but no hair gel needed afterward.

OK, let's do this: Tyrod Taylor
PolishDave replied to TakeYouToTasker's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hey Bobby! I think I found something I agree with you on. Nice! Well except for the last part. We're going to the Superbowl next year baby! Well maybe not the Superbowl, but definitely playoffs. Joe Namath would guarantee it if he was on this team. -
I agree with that because that was my own experience. First time I smoked pot I thought - what's the big deal? It doesn't make you crazy. It makes you giggle or turns you into a silly zombie depending on the quality and quantity and your own tolerances. That led me to think - "I wonder how bad these other drugs are?" So I tried them too. A bunch of them. Fortunately I never got addicted to any. And eventually I realized how childish it was to be using them and I just grew up. But I had friends who never did. Some of them completely destroyed their lives - even death. Some of them are just wannabe hippies now who think the most important thing in this world right now is getting weed legalized. They are burnt to a crisp. They are just flat out dumb/stupid and don't even realize it. Too bad for them. Wish I would have never tried it, any of it. Wish those other guys hadn't either. One of them was my best friend through high school and one hell of a great football player. Having said all that, I don't have an issue with legalizing it. I would vote yes. But, I do get sick of the "pro-weed" crowd acting like there is absolutely nothing wrong with smoking it. Their definitely is. But I do believe it should be an adult's choice just as it is with alcohol. And the vast majority of "pro-weed" people aren't people who want it or intend to use it for medicinal purposes. They are just stoners who want the law to forgive them for their current and future transgressions.
-
Well, from my experience and the people I know, every single person who uses hard core drugs - like blow, acid, meth, etc. started out using weed first. Every single one of them. I grew up in that crowd. In every instance that I am aware of - weed was the first illegal drug any of those (kids at the time) tried. Once they realized how much they liked smoking pot, they lost their fear of trying other harder drugs. At least several of them that I still know of - definitely messed up their lives with drugs and would have no doubt been better off if they had never taken that first hit of the doobie or bowl or bong or whatever. So there's that. Weed has definitely led to ruined lives. If you claim it hasn't, you are in denial of the obvious.
