  1. If he was waiting for BB's job, why did he bother interviewing for the Browns head coaching job? Wouldn't it be easier to just decline? Big waste of time interviewing for a job you don't want and having to go through all that preparation for something you don't want.
  2. That means they would have to move up in the draft to get one of the top 3 guys coming out. And whoever that is would be expected to start. Because otherwise it would be obvious that they downgraded at QB from Tyrod Taylor. And downgrading from Tyrod Taylor to anyone other than a big name rookie with huge promise would be unacceptable and inexcusable. The QB position is too important to willingly downgrade without having a good enough excuse. TT contract is not a good enough excuse. TT is too cheap to not sign him, unless the new head coach hates him for some reason which is possible. He better light it up. Jets are a hot mess.
  3. If they were planning on keeping Rex, then they would have allowed Tyrod to start because they would be picking up the option on Tyrod. If they were planning on firing Rex, then it makes sense to fire him right away. So the decision to fire Rex was probably finalized because of the Miami game. When Rex chose to punt on 4th and 2 in over time, he was signaling that his own image is more important to him than whether the Bills go to the playoffs or not. That was the final straw. Rex didn't play to win so he can GTFO.
  4. He did interview with the Browns last year. Maybe he would be interested.
  5. You are probably right. If Cardale never makes it even as far as #2 (not counting this weekend of course) then I think it is a fair question. Wasted time. If Cardale ends up being a starter eventually or even a decent backup, well then I suppose it was worth it, as long as he is with the Bills when that happens. My guess is that if he hasn't progressed much this year, then next year before the season starts, they will probably kick Cardale to the curb.
  6. Probably because Cardale is nowhere near starter ready. If he plays at all it will probably be 2nd half or if EJ throws 4 picks early.
  7. It is also entirely possible that the Bills are 100% committed to Tyrod. But, they know they have to get a coach. And that new coach that they decide they want, might not want Tyrod. So it stands to reason that they absolutely have to keep all options open so that the new coach will want to sign with Buffalo instead of getting stuck with a QB he might not want. If the Bills got locked into Tyrod for the next 3 years, then their coaching options would be limited to coaches who want that situation. Makes total sense that they bench him. Can't risk injury when which triggers payday when the playoff race is over. When Whaley gets asked about it, that is what he is going to say because it is the truth. Gotta keep options open for new coach until that coach is under contract.
  8. There is just a very slim chance for the Bills to retain the same or extremely similar offense for next year. The only way I see that happening is if Lynn stays as OC which is very unlikely. New coach will want his guys as you mentioned. Therefore it is unlikely that Lynn stays at OC. If you promote Lynn to Head Coach, then he is going to have to hire an offensive coordinator who will probably want to do things a bit differently than Roman did. Unless they hired Roman back which is even less likely. So, next year's Buffalo Bills offense will probably look completely different schematically than this years did. But we are used to that with the massive turnover in coaching that happens here.
  9. They should bench Shady too then. And Mike G. And Sammy. They probably don't mind losing so much, But they aren't trying very hard unless they bench those guys. Bills will kill the Jets on the ground.
  10. What era are you talking about - you mentioned that it got easier to pass in Vic's tenth year and beyond- That is what I looked up.
  11. Looks like that will be up to the new coach.
  12. And it also might be that they don't mind losing this Sunday if it was to happen.
  13. I think you are right. If Cardale was ready for a start, they would give this to him. They already know what they have with EJ. They aren't playing him to see anything. They just want to avoid the injury clause with Tyrod which suggests maybe they are thinking of cutting ties with Tyrod.
  14. Making **** up again. Nobody said that. Only Bobby did. Bobby but hurt now. By your own cherry picking year stats: Vick completion percentages 2011 - 59% 2012 - 58% 2013- 54% (dead last of NFL starters) but it was an easy passing league then 2014 - 52% (dead last of NFL starters) but it was an easy passing league then 2015 - 60% after 5 games where he was then done in the NFL By your very own cherry picked standards, yes Vick was worse than Tyrod has ever been as a starter. Vick was consistently near the bottom and well below Tyrod even in the easy passing years as you call them. You guys remember what you want. Vick's passing game sucked. Tyrod is and always has been superior as a passer. Not as a runner.
  15. You like to make **** up and put words in people's mouths. Grow up. Nobody said that. Your argument sucks.
  16. Nice try cherry picker. Notice Vick's completion percentages were always lower than Tyrods when comparing seasons they both started in. Even in the years since passing got easy according to you. except 1 year - 2010 where he achieved a career high 62.6% And that was after 8 years as a starter that Vick achieved that. And then he went down hill again right after that. Vick's career average is a whopping 56%. Some passer. In other words, based on his stats, Vick would rank #31 where Tyrod is ranked 21. As far as a canon for an arm - Doesn't do you any good if you can't throw that ball with accuracy. You guys truly are mistaken if you believe that Vick was a better passer than Tyrod. Truly mistaken. You remember what you want to remember because of your blind hatred for Tyrod.
  17. Shouldn't the OP change the title of this? It was 4th and 2 - not 4th and 3. On fourth down, yes a yard matters. I did a quick Google search for a recap to see if it was 4th and 2 or 4th and 3. Here it said it was fourth and two which is what I recall it being.
  18. I provided proof. You provided opinion. You are the one not being objective. What does FF stand for?
  19. Well maybe not at running the football. But throwing the football, Tyrod is definitely better. Check the stats - Tyrod vs Vick And somewhere out there is a video where Vick and Tyrod were working out together (years ago when Vick was in NFL) back at Virginia Tech because they are both Hokies. In that video, the people said, Tyrod is a lot like Mike Vick but with a better arm. And the stats and eye test both suggest they are right. Wrong
  20. I don't take any offense to the dumb Polak accusations/jokes. Nor do I think anyone else should. If you think I am dumb, feel free to express your opinion. Besides, aunt Marie and uncle Nic insist I come from good stock. And uncle Ted fought for the right for me to express my free speech and for you to do the same too. Cheers!
  21. Poor tackling Rex's fault? = individually no but when it is team-wide yes - shows lack of mental preparedness Why are you just using this last game as the reason the Bills are not in the playoffs? Surely there are better games to point to than this one. But even if you just want to use this one, the primary reason the Bills lost is because they allowed the other team to score 34 points. It's supposed to be Rex's defense right? So yeah, he shares a huge percentage of the blame for that game along with plenty of other games this year where the defense didn't show up.
  22. Dude. You haven't watched any Bills games this year I presume. And did you even check on the stats you are claiming? Answer = No By your own definition of stats - total yards - The Bills offense ranks #12 And according to your interpretation that is below average? Okay pal. You just typed up a bunch of made up crap.
  23. In the after game interview, Rex said he stood by his decision to punt there. He said every head coach in the league would have punted there. It was Rex's decision, not Lynn's.
  24. Another sad story about drugs destroying lives.
  25. Perhaps. I do find it interesting that Sammy calls the scheme out for not putting enough emphasis on passing. And then the Bills have a big passing game a week later. I wish we had that game earlier in the season, even though it was a loss, and then built off of that instead of the stinkers we had early on. Who knows what this offense would have ultimately looked like if Sammy had been healthy all year. Maybe it would have been truly dominant. But that is probably just wishful thinking.
