  1. And finally, this is the Jets 3rd OC in 3 years. They did!nt like the results of there offense and kept moving on. I will bet anything that Hackett is still here next year.
  2. One last thing. The OC should be fired immediately. Down big near the end of the 3rd Quarter. & non competitive. How did he think we had a chance to win the game, by starting 3 straight series with running plays(the third play not finished due to a penalty, but it was a running play) Was there any passes yesterday thrown over 20 yards or were they all basically checkdowns. He is in over his head, but will probably be here with Marrone for the full 3 year contract.
  3. What was it that Jack N said in the movie about not being able to handle the truth. Sulli is just the messenger guys, he wrote what he saw
  4. This whole area of thought is about the players, and the bad playing, but it starts at the top, and until the team is sold and a new CEO, a new GM and a new Coach come here, we are just spinning our wheels and going no place. There is a reason we went to 4 straight SBs and it started with Bill Polian and the coach brought in Marv Levy. Do you think any GM or Coach we have had since are going to the HOF there? The only way they ever get in the HOF is to buy a ticket. Why do we get these people? Is it because management is among the lowest paid in the NFL. Why was Marrone given a 3 year contract without proving himself? Are you going to ask Brandon or Whaley who have never proven themselves. Get better management who gets better players and this board would not be so negative
  5. If Marrone is the man people think he is, at half time he would have made adjustments, benching the entire 11 men offensive and defensive units for at least a couple of series and telling the team that if they want to be on the field for the Buffalo Bills they they will perform on the field. Don1t you think they would have got more effort from guys who would have been happy to play football. Sure, it would have taken guts to do that, but at least now everyone knows if you fumble the football, don!t block and don!t do what it takes to win-you still play.
  6. You are partially right. Sure, there is no leadership, and the players screw up. But don!t you think ability has something to do with players screwing up? And we all hope so and want it to be, but if you think Manuel will be fine, I completely disagree.
  7. Did someone lose a bet on Luck or his daddy to be so vicious Maybe I!m going senile, but what does that have to do with the Bills performance yesterday.
  8. Excuses, excuses, excuses. The hot weather, the referees, injuries, the Atlantic game. I!ve heard them all cin 14 years. There is even a new one now. Eric Wood saying the Offensive Line was so bad because they were losing. This latest pathetic performance starts from the top down. The head man now Brandon The GM Whaley The head coach Marrone The OC Hackett The QB Manuel and the rest of the players. Where is the accountabiltiy? When McKelvin fumbled the punt why was he not relieved of that job? You mean not one of the other 52 players on the field could catch a punt? Then he fumbled again. If Marrone could not show the team that if you don!t perform, you don!t play, there really is no hope. Remember the New England game when Ridly fumbled on the running play. You know what Belicheck did then, don!t you. Same old, same old, another coach, another QB in a few years, thats how long it will take for the coach, his OC, and his QB to be held accountable.
  9. On Nov. 11 I started the thread Release EJ ? in which I said in part "I hope he does develop as he seems like a nice guy, but right now he is a NFL backup". There were two responses before the thread was locked down, l) Stop. Go home 2) LOL Just saying.
  10. Give this a rest. It is over and can!t be changed no matter how wrong it was And part of the problem is they are human and make mistakes. It happens.
  11. Superstar. Do these people have a clue, give me a break.
  12. Atlanta was a top heavy pass team this year until they ran into the Bills, and ran they did much more than they usually do because it was working. Adjustments between games, adjustments in games are what make top NFL coaches, or winning NFL coaches who stick around for a while. The easy way is to do the same thing, the same play calling in game and game after game. What other coach has done what Atlanta did on the kickoff, the handoff and end around. Thats play calling, and it worked, not because it was a trick but because the defense did!nt expect it.
  13. If I remember correctly Schaub was good for years leading Huston into the playoffs. I even remember him being very good in beating the Bills. I really don!t have a clue what happened in Houston this year, as I have not followed it. Anybody know the real story? We all know a QB can get too much credit for winning, and too much blame for losing, but was it coaching, a undisclosed injury to Schaub, something in his personal life? Is his confidence shot so bad that he gets the shakes when he goes on the field?. Anyway, I!ll get killed for this, but right now EJ is not a franchise QB. We would all like to believe it because it has been so long since we had one, and EJ can certainly become better, and he can certainly get worse-Sanchez and RJIII come to mind quickly. Except for Pittsburgh EJ has just been okay this year-flashes of good and flashes of bad. Tell me how many 400 or even 300 yard games he has had in a passing league this year. Joe B at WGR does a great weekly read-In review-in which going over film every week analyzes each players individual performance and grades them accordingly. EJ grades out better than Lewis and Tuel, but is nearer the bottom of individual player performances this year. It is really worth reading. Anyway for what it is worth or not worth, I believe the Bills should get Schaub if he is available, draft a QB and set up a 3 way fair competition next year for the QB. Schaub having the chance to be what he was, a QB in the draft having the chance to be a top guy, and EJ having the chance to get better. A big problem with Sanchez and the Jets was he was handed the QB position after the draft like EJ was after Kolb got hurt, and had no competition and was not pushed to get better and taught to be better. You want to hand EJ the job next year; that is just so wrong and a recipe for failure. If you have a great job; guaranteed contract with a great salary knowing the job is yours for the year, so you can!t be fired---well I just wish we should all be so lucky.
  14. Tashard Choice may be the nicest guy in the world but he should have been released. CJ and Fred wearing his ubiform. Give me a break. The guy did!nt die, he got released, like someday CJ and Fred will. Tashard belongs on a team in the playoffs with a shot at the SB, because the chances are when he get in a game for whatever reason, he would!nt screw up. The Bills don!t need somebody like that, they need somebody with a upside and a chance to be a star. Give Wingo a chance and see what upside he has. One day CJ and Fred will be gone. Do you want Tashard to be the nuber 1 back.
  15. Don!t you think its a combination-bad play calling and bad execution by the QB. If you want to say its 50-50 I!ll buy that.
  16. Great article Vegas55 right on thr mark. We better hope Hackett gets better because he is going nowhere. Tied to the hip or coatails of Marrone. From Syracuse to the Bills to who knows where. He is a like a girl friend you care about ib a bad relationship that you are afraid to cut. One other thing to point out helping to prove what you say is that the Bills rank 22nd in point differential with a -40. The teams behind us with there win totals and point diff are: Jets 5 -121 Giants 5 - 60 Browns 4 -66 Raiders 4 -63 Bills 4 -40 Jags 3 -178 Redskins 3 -93 Bucs 3--68 Falcons 3 -79 Vikings 3 -77 Texans 2 -93 What does this prove? That we are nowhere near one of the worst teams in the league, and better play calling would have us with more wins. The absolutely worse call of the year was the pass call on 3rd and at the KC 1 yard line. A QB sneak and it was a different game. Raiders 4 Jags 3 Falcons 3 Bucs 3 Vikings 3 Three losses to the Jets, Browns and Falcons not as good as us. Sorry, the last 5 teams at the end should have been deleted. Just a typo Instead of 4-8, 7-5 in the not even counting the KC loss.
  17. There was a thread posted about 15 minutes before about the Toronto game. It never made it, so whatever.
  18. I understand this and these Toronto games. It!s all about the money and about Toronto being a viable place for the Bills NFL franchise, I get it, I really do, but what I don!t get is playing a Dome team inside a Dome stadium in December. It!s losing a home game and the advantages for a game including football weather for a game on a neutral site. On second thought I do get it. Winning a football game in Toronto (already 1-4) is secondary to all the corporate bull going on with the franchise and the NFL. Regardless, cheers our guys on, and let then rise above the nonsense and be better than Atlanta.
  19. Steviw "don!t call me stevie" crying again that came out wrong. It should be Stevie "don!t call me Steve"
  20. And to digress, Hocky will always be here most likely at the NHL level. It is a sport played by younsters in the streets as well as rinks and we are familiar with it, plus the Maple Leaf rivalry and lack of seats there drive a lot of Canadians here. I don!t know what % of people at Tampa Bay, Florida, Dallas, LA, San Jose attending games are from the North, but it has to be a lot or else you would see teams from from like Hawaii in the NHL. What has made the NFL, NBA and kept MLB popular is the fact that they are Television sports. Hockey will always be the 4th sport unless someone figures iut how to follow the puck on TV. It shoul!nt be too hard to figure it out nowadays but it is. I believe Fox tried years ago with a orange puck. Get a big scrum in front of the net, see the light go on past the goalie, and it could be you don!t know who put the puck in r whether it is off a skate, hand or stick. On the other hand there is no problem seeing who caught the pass, who put the ball in the basket or hit the home run.
  21. We all know this situation sucks, no matter which way it is said. It just had to be done. Toronto is what now, 10 times larger than Buffalo. The Braves could see the handwriting years ago, and there will never be a ML Baseball team. Being older than most of you I remember when you could not get a ticket to a packed minor league at Offerman. But the world changes. The country has moved away from the Northeast, and what has moved in are a lot of immigrants from countries I never have heard of. And they have come in with their own sports like soccer. Years ago Canadians came to Buffalo to shop and party, but those days are gone for good. Toronto brings much more to the NFL and the Bills than fannies in the seats. We just need to accept it, whether its 1 game or more, or a new Stadium away from WNY, because a new Stadium will never happen here. Never.
  22. There are thousands of possibilities with everyone involved. What if KC loses their last 5. You will go nuts trying to figure out the final outcome. How many of all of the games left, end up winning or losing on a penalty, a fumble, on a field goal try. Come back before week 17 and it will be a good discussion. Right now it is useless.
