He walked off the field in “13 seconds” an all time legend until it was squandered in a statistically almost impossible fashion. He walked off the field having Diggs and Kincaid having dropped ,more legendary, David Tyree level pass attempts. He walked off the field having his lineman driven into him as he was about to throw the game winner. Not the safe check down but the game winner….. because Shooter FN Shoot. So , please, not just you Rochester Fan, but all of you who continue throwing this false excuse around, stop. The Bills lost those games because the Defense failed him in each and every game. Part of that failure falls on the Coach, part on the GM. None is attributable to the Chiefs being unbeatable. That is a cop out. To be the best you have to beat the best. Josh could and still can. Yet again, the rest of his supporting cast does not look, to the objective eye, like it is up to the task.

Belichick did this DURING the Super Bowl with the Giants because he needed Brady to have a chance to win. If a coach has demonstrated he can lose a game with 13 seconds left on the clock, he can certainly do so with a minute five left. Add to that, having just allowed a team to get down field after starting on their 1 yard line with less time, at the end of the previous half.. The fact the kicker missed is trumped by the fact the league clearly put its toe on the scale to keep the game tighter.( ( 2 penalties for the Jags?!?!😒) This isn’t hindsight either! The game thread was littered with posters begging to not score too quickly. Receipts are there. “But if Tom Brady had marched the Patriots down the field on that final drive with the time left to him, people would argue about how much time the Giants left for the Patriots to mount a comeback. Regardless of the outcome, Belichick made the right call when he let the Giants score. Not disagreeing. But, is this one of those situations where they say “ The clock on the field isn’t the actual clock and there can be discrepancies “ or some such horse manure. The whole idea that the visible clock on the field isn’t correct has always bewildered me. How can the players play if they don’t know the real amount of time?

Good coaching and a team that has prepared for that scenario. My guess is it was discussed in the huddle before the long pass play.

What if they fumbled on the play they scored on? That’s what if( also not being a smartass) We have all seen multiple times where players don’t score, on purpose, over the years. I can understand from the point of not wanting to subject Josh to any more of the beating he was taking. But, if you trust your center and QB to make a clean exchange, I trust Josh to dive left or right and not gain or lose yards, or the ball.

They should have run a dive to the right or left, short of the goal. That was the easiest call ever to make. Happy we won but that was STUPID.
