  1. Saj is the the best WR coach in the league when it comes down to teaching route running
  2. I was thinking the exact same thing on the drive to work today
  3. At least we have an identity. I would rather be a running offense that wins than a passing team that loses. Face it most teams are either one or the other. Would you rather us be the saints or the colts right now who cant stop a nose bleed. Not every team is the Pats or Cardinals. Give me Seattle until we can draft the next Peyton Manning or Tom Brady.
  4. sad thing about it is that its his playbook that they are using. He should become a run game consultant
  5. I had shady, clay, and Justin Hunter between 2 lineups
  6. Thanks for everyone responding giving more clarification for me how that works. Im glad that we can bring both back if need be.
  7. So here is my question. I thought with the new IR rules that you can only bring one player back per year from IR. As well all know both Sammy and Lawson was placed on IR so therefore wouldn't that mean only one would eligible to return this year. http://www.bloggingtheboys.com/2016/8/2/12346452/understanding-nfl-roster-designations-injured-reserve-pup-nfi IR (designated for return) The league changed the injured reserve with return designation so that you no longer have to designate the player ahead of time. Teams are still only allowed to bring one player back, but they can bring back any one player they've placed on injured reserve. Previously, if a team wanted to use the one return designation spot, they had to declare it when the player was placed on injured reserve. Now, they can just see who is getting healthy quickly, and take them off IR. Once they take that player off IR, the rest of the IR players must remain on the list. So therefore if we bring back S.Lawson then Sammy would have to stay on IR for the rest of the year and visa versa. So my question is who we bring back. It seems like we need Sammy right now more then S.Lawson but who is to guarantee that if we bring back Sammy that he will stay healthy enough to play for the rest of the year
  8. Just taking a look at Rotoworld injury report and its states the following: http://www.rotoworld.com/articles/nfl/65629/78/injury-report-week-5?pg=2 Bills @ Rams *LeSean McCoy showed up on the injury report as questionable with a hand injury Friday. Late-week additions are never good, but McCoy is adamant he will play. DT Marcell Dareus also popped up on the report Friday with a hamstring injury. He is also listed as questionable, but there is more concern about his injury. Charles Clay (knee), LT Cordy Glenn (ankle), and CB Stephon Gilmore (ankle) should play despite questionable tags. WR Greg Salas(groin) was placed on injured reserve Friday, and OT Cyrus Kouandjio (ankle), C Patrick Lewis (knee), and CBCorey White (shoulder) are out. *Kenny Britt (thigh, questionable) and Benny Cunningham (thigh, questionable) will likely play, but the Rams have trouble on the defensive line. DEs Robert Quinn (shoulder) and William Hayes (ankle) sat out all week while DTMichael Brockers (hip) missed Thursday and Friday. All three are listed as questionable, but it would be surprising if they played. SO THEREFORE THEY ARE MISSING 3/4 OF THERE D-LINE THIS SUNDAY. I WONDER WHY THEY ARE NOT TALKING ABOUT THIS MORE. THE RUNNING GAME SHOULD HAVE A FIELD DAY IF THEIR DLINE MINUS A.Donald is out
  9. Dumb comment. He is their 1st round draft choice. Totally accpetable to think about how he will fit on the defense
  10. Screw that. You beat who is on schedule point blank. You think teams like KC gave two flying F's when they beat us with Jeff Tuel and made the playoffs.
  11. Due back after week 6. With Sammy being out for probability the rest of the season he could be the deep threat that we need to keep defenses honest. Im just wondering how his injury is coming along.
  12. He just came off of suspension. Are you trying to say he is going back on. If that is the case they should have just extended this one he just got off of
  13. Well Gailey would have his backfield back. To me Matt Forte always reminded me of a younger Fred Jackson and if Spiller goes there that complete Gailey vision of his offense
  14. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000710447/article/raiders-make-tough-decision-to-cut-marcel-reece He would be PERFECT in our scheme. PLEEEASE get this done OBD!!!!!!
  15. Here what Lynn said about his feelings regarding Ground and Pound Ground and pound is just winning football games. It just means you’re committed to running the football. It doesn’t mean you’re going to run the ball fifty times a game. You’re just committed to running the football for four quarters. That’s how we were in Denver. We won more football games in six years than any team in NFL history. It was the ‘ground and pound’ mentality because we were committed to running the football but we would throw the football to beat you. If you want to take the run away, we’ll take that but we’re going to be committed to running it and I think when you play in the northeast, you have to be.”
  16. You lost me when you said that Whaley didn't man a roster that can be competitive within the division when besides the PATS we have not lost a divisional game in 2.5years before Thursday. Now what happened that our defense could not defend the JETS last night after holding them to 17 pts last year go figure. I would have to say lack of past rush especially in the 2nd half
  17. In my opinion we miss the ability of someone like Karlos Williams bad. I don't think he got enough credit for helping make our run game one of the best last year. I know we wouldn't not have had him because of suspension but going forward we need someone to get the tough yards. As bad as the team played tonight we still had a chance to win if we converted that 4 down run and maybe still had a last timeout. BTW. I do believe in our skill position players on offense. Too bad they are stuck in the wrong system.
  18. Tyrod accepting his contract extention I thought at the time was a unwillingness to believe in himself and wanted some guarteeded big money even if it was for 1 yr. If his play today is inductive of who he is going to be then it was a good decision for him to take the money aND run
  19. When people, not necessarily on this site are objective and not judging QB performances with a axe to grind. As bad as Tygod played today the reaction is no where near vilified as when EJ stunk up the place and I want to know why It's because people want to blame EJ for us not making the playoffs because he didn't go 2-0 in relieve duty. So to answer your question. It will happen when EJ is off the team. BTW what's the over/under the BROWNS score more than 7 pts next game vs the RAVENS
  20. That's why I started the thread. Not for losers talk. It's been a long time since I felt a 3 pt lead was insurmountable. Today that's how I felt.
  21. If that is the case then we are going 0-16
  22. As bad as EJ played during the 5 mins streak during the game I would rather take his performance over what I saw from Tyrod today Today's game reminded me of when the Bills played the Titans and Tyrod pulled off a miracle run to win. The miracle run did not come today
  23. The lost on the road to the Ravens might not be the end of the world but I hope it does come back to bite us in the wild card standings
  24. AFC east could be 0-4 after today's games
