Feel Like We Are Going Back To Dark Days
Protocal69 replied to Ittakestime's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It is so ironic that Whaley was given the can however it seems like the league just loves grabbing his talent. for Christ sake the Rams said just basically I take the Bills starting receivers plus our nickle corner. The PAts basically said ill take your starting CB slot receiver and backup RB and TE (Chandler before they cut after one season) If Beane is to be believed teams are begging us to trade and not the other way around. The number one reason the Bills have not made the playoffs is coaching and a little bad luck. Before Nix and Whaley got here we were handing extentions to BUMS and couldnt get coaches to interview with us. I believe that even if we do make the playoffs soon Whaley will be proven right by the talent he drafted. Maybe if he would have been allowed to pick his own coach then they would have had the chemistry that Beane and McDermott has which i think was put to the test that Sammy trade which i dont think McDermott was with 100%. I hope Beane does not turn into a Beane counter no pun attendent. -
People on here need to slow down. Mitch looked good however did anyone notice he starting playing in the second quarter and played the rest of the game. Also he had Victor Cruz to throw to in the 4th quarter as well. Our old receiver Donte Thompson looked good as well and was playing into the 4th as well. I never saw a QBplay almost the whole game in the game let alone the 1st preseason game. He made some good EASY throws but lets pump the breaks from putting him in the HOF after his 1st preseason game.

When the owner comes out to shake your hand after you make a catch thats a good sign you might make the team.

https://sports.yahoo.com/pegula-commits-keeping-bills-buffalo-213442632.html Talk about a click-bait article. "With three NFL teams relocating in less than 20 months, other fans in other cities are nervous about other teams moving. Bills owner Terry Pegula made it clear on Wednesday that folks in Buffalo shouldn’t worry. Yet. “Well, we have a lease through 2023, so that’s a contractual obligation,” Pegula told reporters. “That’s my stance on it. This is 2017, so we’ve got a long ways to go before we start worrying about anything besides where we’re at now.” On one hand, that’s seven years. On the other hand, it’s only seven years. Grand scheme of things, that time will fly by. And there will need to be a plan in place for Year Eight, a plan that can’t wait to be devised and implemented in Year Seven. Still, it’s clear that the Bills won’t be going anywhere soon. Asked about an out clause that is triggered in 2018, Pegula was pragmatic. “Where are we going to go?” he said. For now, nowhere. Eventually, however, that could change." It should have been obvious that Pegula was talking about building a new stadium and not moving the team from Buffalo

Which one of these players would you want on the BILLS.

Please explain how the logic is flawed when those was the players that were available. Also whats funny about your pick is that he was drafted in the 2nd round. Good player but not defensive changing especially in Rex Ryan system so he wouldn't have been the pick more than likely -

This is the 2015 draft the year after Watkins was taken where we didnt have a 1st round pick. NEXT -
1 Cameron Erving C 1 Nelson Agholor WR 1 Cedric Ogbuehi OT 1 Bud Dupree OLB 4-3 1 Shane Ray DE 1 D. J. Humphries OT 1 Shaq Thompson OLB 4-3 1 Breshad Perriman WR 1 Byron Jones CB 1 Laken Tomlinson G 1 Phillip Dorsett WR 1 Damarious Randall S 1 Stephone Anthony LB 1 Malcom Brown DT 2 Landon Collins † S 2 Donovan Smith OT 2 Mario Edwards, Jr. DE 2 T. J. Yeldon RB 2 Devin Smith WR 2 Preston Smith DE 2 Eddie Goldman DT 2 Dorial Green-Beckham WR 2 Devin Funchess WR 2 Jalen Collins CB 2 Benardrick McKinney ILB 2 Hau'oli Kikaha OLB 2 Eric Kendricks ILB 2 Jaquiski Tartt S 2 Eric Rowe CB 2 Denzel Perryman ILB These are the players that we lost out on chosing on picking from by trading our 1st round pick for Sammy Watkins. For me there may be a couple of players worth taking (Landon Colllins who went by the way as the 1st pick in the 2nd round but not as many as the media would like for you to believe. Hindsight is 20/20 but for the most part non of these players would have ended the playoff drought.

Joe B: What Brandon Beane wants in a QB
Protocal69 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I dont know what games you are looking at the the pass protection has been excellent. Tyrod just holds onto the ball far too long. On order to hold on the ball far to long you have to have that time and the Billls OL has given him that protection in most games in 2016 http://www.nfl.com/stats/ngs/timetothrow -
RD 2, Pick 37: Zay Jones (WR) - ECU

Here is a great interview with Zay Jones at the senior bowl. I like the kid already https://youtu.be/uDBw-OhDVGY -
Its just has always in my opinion a lot of backstabbing, job saving tactics going on at One Bills Drive. Whaley in Pegula ear telling him that Rex is wasting talent on the team. Whaley butting heads with Marrone or vise versa. Russ Brandon and Jim Overdolf kissing the owners ass. Half the organization wanting to do one thing and the other half something else. Its just make from what it sounds like a terrible work environment

https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/patriots-owner-robert-kraft-broke-134337520.html This part of the article is what stood out to me the most: Kraft believes all of these things have created a culture free of "corporate B.S." Where other teams might have internal division, the Patriots try to get people to "check their ego at the door." "The kind of business we're in is a business of egos and a business [of] who gets the credit," Kraft said. "In any business, division from within can become the biggest enemy … You have personnel people, you have coaches. Very often the coach will say, 'Well, the personnel people didn't get me the right people.' And the personnel people will say 'Well, the coach didn't play the proper people at the proper time and they don't have the right system.' "It's excuses, always. And so the real trick is how you get people on the same page and force egos who sometimes have problems working with one another … If you can get people to check their ego at the door and put team first, whatever the team may be, and then once you have it going, having continuity." In a league where roster and personnel turnover is rampant, Kraft added, "I never make a change unless I know I have something better to put in its place. I never make change for change's sake." This has maybe been one of the biggest things holding the BILLS back( besides no franchise QB) for the longest time. Hopefully with the MCD hire this will be changed in the BILLS organization.

How do you view McDermott's role in the GM situation?
Protocal69 replied to BILLiever55's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah this my issue as well, especially in the NFC South. Where was McD genius where Julio Jones went for over 300 yards against them and Matt Ryan had over 500 yards passing or when Drew Breezy threw for over 460 yards with Brandon Cooks (who is our division now with Brady) go for 173 yards and a TD or Carson Palmer go for 363 yards. The list goes on and that was just in 2016 -
Bills decline to match Gillislee offer sheet

Overreaction post of the year. Gills at best is 2nd on the depth chart no way he gets over 500 yards rushing -

3 reasons Bills shouldn't use 10th pick on TE O.J. Howard
Protocal69 replied to pbanach's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We were inches away from taking Eric Ebron in the draft that we traded up to take Sammy Watkins in at a similar position in draft spot. If he is there he will be the pick -
well I think kickers coming into the league are at a more disadvange than before because from the time you start kicking until you finish college you are kicking extra points from a much shorter distance than when you come into the NFL now with the rule change. I wish that the college kicking game will now match the NFL game so you can better evaluate the kickers coming out
