Game week thread - Ravens at Bills SNF
Andrew Son replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
There have been no game designations yet -
Hopefully it will change, but as of now he's clearly the best TE on the team.

On the secondary market

He was looking at birds

It’s crazy. i had the same criticism when we signed Von. We draft all these DE’s early- Groot, AJ, Boogie- and then have to go out and spend $100M on an old player to get any impact

No, I don't. But many criticisms are valid especially on the free agent front as I don't see a lot of impact coming from there. Hopefully that changes this year as we will need impact from the likes of Palmer, Hoecht, and Ogunjobi. It's not a great look when, year after year, you throw countless resources at the same group (DL) only to have to continuously go back to the well with guys like Phillips.
-
I think it's more that it's a trend. When does this ever work? Bringing back Phillips, Tre, Dane, Shaq, John Brown, Beasley, Klein, Marlowe...
-
If you're looking for safety help, we actually transitioned him to LB

Why Landon Jackson is the next MONSTER in the NFL
Andrew Son replied to MJS's topic in The Stadium Wall
The problem is, year after year we keep investing heavily in the same position group and it continues to be a problem. We need at least two out of three of this rookie DL class to hit IMO. -
Beane can’t help himself

Hmmm...

From what I'm hearing Moore is connecting quite a bit with Josh in practice, and is creating seperation.
-
I definitely think the turnover differential is unlikely to be repeated. But it's not like we're just running it back with the same corps. Coleman seems to be emerging and they brought in Palmer who looks like he will take on a pretty big role. We're are good in the slot with Shakir and I think there is more to see from Kincaid. Pair that with bringing back the entire OL and RB room, I don't really have any concerns about the offense.

Proven by last year. Everyone was worried our offense was going to suck because we lost Diggs and had no #1. Well, the offense was great and we were let down by our defense in the biggest moments- again.
-
Josh has an elite oline, great run game, good TE's, and role players at WR. You're not going to pay a top tier QB, and then have star players at every other position group. This formula has been proven to work on offense. I'm much more concerned with the continued investment in defense falling flat. If this rookie class doesn't hit the ground running it's going to be the same stroy.
-
Round and round we go... The original argument was back when we traded Diggs, and the concern was that we were going to suck because we had no difference makers at WR. Then, when we still had a top offense the argument shifted to- "well, it's all Josh." It has been proven that we have a championship caliber offense. Josh, plus a great oline, great run game, good TE's, and capable role players at WR works. Anyone without an agenda can see what is holding this team back from championships is the defense. And if we didn't hit on the early defensive picks in this draft it will continue to be the case.

One of these years we'll have a good offense!

Might actually be a better fit in Brady's offense. He is an excellent blocker.

I didn't see this posted, Bills sign Safety Tre Herndon
Andrew Son replied to SoonerBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
lol, “the truth”… A first round rookie who has yet to play a snap is a stain on Beane and his scouting staff… Tell us more, genius -
My biggest concern is the reliance on older, injury prone players- namely Tre, Milano, and Bosa.

I listened, your comprehension is way off. the question was something along the lines of- “What are we, the media, not talking enough about?” Josh’s response was something like- “that’s hard to answer because I don’t really know what you (the media) are talking about.”
