I find the focus on the offense to be truly bizarre. It's been historically good. If we fall short this year it will be because of the defense, again.

We've done that before and then in the playoffs we have no healthy Wr's.

My concern is that, historically, these "lulls" seem to last for multi-game stretches.

Despite his incredible arm Josh has never been great with the deep ball. Most people think a great arm automatically means a great deep ball but that's not the case. A Russ Wilson moon ball is easier to track and catch than a laser with limited arc.

We have among the worst.

Maybe they are just using him for parts. Between Spector and Milano we might be able to cobble together a LB

His offense has been incredibly refreshing following the one dimensional attack we had for years.

Probably so, but that sounds pretty similar to the thinking everyone had for last night’s game.

By what metric? I'm seeing them as a bottom third rushing attack with ball security issues.

I'll believe there's been a change to the defense when I see it. Every year we bring in new pieces to address the shortcomings but they persist. Obviously the most important thing right now is stacking wins, and what teams look like right now will different from the finished product. Get the one seed, stay healthy, and play your best football at the right time... But I can't help but think that whatever is perennially wrong with our defense will be the teams downfall again. Hopefully I'm wrong and it all comes together, or at least the offense can overcome.

I think the problem is that the same issues that have ended our season each year still seem to be present. Continual high investment in the defense with the same results. Hopefully Hoeght and Ogunjobi make a big difference but I'm skeptical it's all of a sudden going to flip into a dominant unit. Personally I don't think Babich is a good coordinator

What position should we be suiting up @Gugny at for this easy win?

I like keeping the mileage down on Cook. The perfect scenario would be if Davis developed into the Montgomery to Cook's Gibbs. But it doesn't appear that Davis is emerging.
