  1. I wonder how much is Hackett and how much is him being handcuffed by Manuel.
  2. WTF? Seriously, WTF? His intentions were pretty clear. In fact, they were uncovered by Bills fans when his partner was found to be researching moving the team to Toronto. F Bon Jovi. His music sucks and his lies suck.
  3. There are good things happening in Jax and that's due to coaching and the GM both. That team should be on the rise. I am not a Phish believer. That team is a train wreck. I just can't put them second. Pats 1st for sure and then it's a crapshoot from there.
  4. Bronc is right. BB has always been the same way, after he won championships, before he won championships, when he was in Cleveland, always.
  5. I've read a few rumors about Freeman. The troubling ones are regarding some significant substance abuse issues. Not talking pot. Again, they are rumors but things line up pretty well if true. If a team could trust him to stay clean he'd be worth a look. I'm. to sure that teams do, however.
  6. ALL of the pieces necessary? I think a franchise QB still has to emerge. EJ may be that guy, but until he proves he is I'm not checking that box. I have hope for the receiving corps, but Watkins has yet to play a real NFL game and he's the only one teams are going to have to game plan for. Again, I'm hopeful that we have others developing, but there is much left to prove. I like our RBs, but our starter is on the last year of his deal and our backup is 33 and on the last year of his deal. The defense has some real talent, but was very susceptible to the run last season. Even if Spikes fixes that he's on a one year deal, too. I'm of the mind that I want to see what the Bills have before making such grandiose statements.
  7. Lots of distraction for a guy who can't throw NFL passes. Desperation is ugly.
  8. You joke around about that (and the pics are nice) but I hit the size select tab and the only size available is XL. That's just effed up.
  9. Man I always hated Primanti Bros sandwiches. I think it was the bread because I have no issue with fries on my sandwich. I love me some Fatheads though. Go there for food and beer - both are great. The Church Brewery is cool and the food was good, but the beer was not. Great set up though.
  10. I would chose either "the ability to anticipate receivers who are about to come open" or "better accuracy". Seriously, who gives a rat's ass if he wears a visor or wants a jacket on the sidelines? Do you think anyone cares about this crap if the QB in question has proven himself to be a quality NFL QB? If Manuel improves I hope we can put all this stuff behind us.
  11. That's probably why I used the words "public" and "perception" in my post.
  12. I'd leave FJ exactly where he is until I see him start to lose it, then I wouldn't hesitate to drop him down the depth chart. This will almost certainly be his last season on the Bills - and possibly in the NFL. I'd milk the last bit of football out of him whilst the youts learn.
  13. The Vegas lines are showing the Bills as a 6-6.5 point dog, so it isn't just Chicago. Even with the home field advantage that shows that the public thinks the Bears are about a field goal better than the Bills. That isn't huge and it is certainly defensible. That doesn't mean the Bills can't win. They can. The public just thinks the Bears just have a better chance. That's all. I find it difficult to complain about people expecting an average team to beat the Bills when the Bills have been below average. The only thing that will change that perception is winning. http://www.vegasinsider.com/nfl/odds/las-vegas/line-movement/bills-@-bears.cfm/date/9-07-14/time/1300
  14. I'm pretty sure that is exactly what every fan of every team without a proven franchise QB wishes for. In Buffalo we have to hope EJ develops as we are stuck together for a couple seasons. He looked better in this last preseason game. He's still got a long way to go, but all we can do is watch and hope.
  15. Extremely poor judgement by a guy who's NFL job is all about judgement.
  16. Fred Jackson has been great and I really like him as our #2 RB. I think he is one of the best in that role, but does anyone really think that we should pin our hopes on a 33 year old starter at RB? I don't see anyone I'm excited about behind him either. I would not be surprised if this was CJ's agent's way of drumming up an offer to get CJ out of town and on a team willing to give him a long term deal now.
  17. And, oddly, they only test sample B for the existence of the banned substance. The amount of the banned substance in that sample isn't suppossed to be considered - just whether or not that substance exists in it. Very odd. Had the samples been labeled the other way around the test would've been considered negative.
  18. Your reading comprehension needs a lot of work. That, or when you don't like someone else's opinion you overstate it in an attempt to make them seem unreasonable. Neither reflects well.
  19. It did look like a clear overthrow, but perhaps Watkins made a mistake earlier in his route (i.e. getting pinned on the sidelines) that made him late to his spot. Dunno.
  20. Please stop. Catchable, yes. Perfect, no. Not exactly a drive in any event. Overall three batted passes in single digit attempts. F me. He had two or three good throws, but none were difficult. Every NFL QB should be completing quick WR screens and short, middle of the field throws. I hope he impresses, but thus far he has not. It is early, but there are no rose colored glasses thick enough for me to think I saw something encouraging.
  21. All I can think of for the narrative of this season: A Good Defense Wasted Yes, it is way too early to write off EJ, but it would have been really nice to have seen something positive. And please, please, please no more Tuel/Lewis can be the answer crap. That's just desperation.
  22. From an odds perspective it makes a lot of sense as new ownership usually brings in their own guys. The exceptions are usually successful coaches and GMs. If the Bills don't start winning very soon I'd expect a total housecleaning when new ownership gets control.
  23. That's actually a pretty damning list. In the last 20 years the Bills have 12 road wins against playoff bound teams, 8 of which were wildcard teams and just one in the last 6 years. That's rough.
