The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19
Luka replied to Hedge's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Uh... ok? At any rate, we as a country are going to have to have a conversation about sick leave from work. One of the big cultural issues we have that caused this to spread rapidly is demanding people work unless they are near death or dead. It's so ingrained in us that we feel like we are letting down the place we work for if we don't show up. I don't know how you change that but hopefully we start to see it move to the forefront when it comes to preventing this type of thing from happening again. -

But was it his own actions? Or the actions of those around him? I know at my job at least, everyone's gotten comfortable because we are around each other every day. Problem with that is you don't know what everyone else is doing when they aren't at work. You can only assume they aren't needlessly putting themselves at risk of exposure. -
The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19

The masks are virtue signaling. That's all they are. Under Cuomo's current regulations, COVID is non transferable once you sit down at a table in a restaurant. In that situation, the only person that could give you COVID is the filthy peasant serving you, in which case the peasant must wear a mask at all times, along with the ones in the kitchen, even though it was proven a month or so into the pandemic that it was not transferable through food. https://www.cdc.gov/condomeffectiveness/latex.html#STD "Laboratory studies have demonstrated that latex condoms provide an essentially impermeable barrier to particles the size of STD pathogens." "Laboratory studies have demonstrated that latex condoms provide an essentially impermeable barrier to particles the size of HIV." Your post is hyperbole. And completely false. When use properly, condoms actually work, where as masks, when used properly, do next to nothing to stop the spread of COVID. -
But they're worried a spike from people going to a game. My point is most people already experience quite a bit of exposure in their day to day routine. Not to mention restaurants have opened and are allowing people to sit in a poorly ventilated area with close proximity seating and no masks. With school back in session every time someone has a sniffle they will have to get a COVID test which will force someone who may not have COVID to possibly come in direct contact with someone who does. There are a hell of alot more situations that are more dangerous than a socially distanced, open air stadium.

It's limited exposure time. That few people you should be able to contain each section. The main worry is the bathrooms and that's easy enough to have some people cleaning continuously as they get used. It's funny to me, because think of all the people that go in and out of grocery store for instance. Touching everything, the store isn't getting cleaned during peak times etc. To me it seems a lot safer to go to an open air stadium where you can limit contact with people.

So between Phillips, Star and Lawson all being gone from last year's D Line, you don't see an issue with the defense and none of those players missing, especially the guy who could get to the QB and blow up some of that play action. Well ok then lol. -
You and me both bud. Now all I need is some Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figures and cartoons on Saturday morning .

He put pressure on the QB, something we are also struggling with. -
No way I'd get rid of Milano. Put him out there with Dodson where he only has to play his responsibilities and not Edmunds' also.

I'm fine with this because from my point of view, Oliver is trending towards bust. You see what Donald did today? That's what Oliver is allegedly capable of. Where is it? -
Edmunds needs to put on 20 lbs and play DE. His body type makes it impossible for him to get his pads lower than a 5' 9" running back. He's excellent in coverage and with his speed he showed he's a tremendous threat from the outside anytime they put him there in a blitz package. Being young just isn't an argument anymore. This is his 3rd season and his gap integrity and tackling has not improved. I'd much rather have Dodson in the middle. Start moving Edmunds around the field.

No Star. No Jordan Phillips. No light coming on for Oliver or Edmunds. No Norman. Even when they were blitzing they weren't getting home and that is a bad sign. And the run defense is just non-existent. Not good when playing a team like the Titans in couple weeks.

This is going to be a squishing of the fish that we have not witnessed in some time.

I laughed.

What are you cooking today for the game?
Luka replied to Brennan Huff's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wings in the air fryer with some Anchor Bar sauce and Wegmans frozen pizzas. I can at least lure my non-loving football family into the room for a few minutes while the game is on. 😆 -
Looks like the process was on break when they drafted this kid.

The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19

Well until we are fully into testing everyone for antibodies we actually don't know who was affected the worst. What we're seeing in NYC and other places could even be the so called 2nd wave of this disease. If it had originated literally anywhere else I'd put a lot more stock into our current numbers but because it originated in China I am thinking we are 4-8 months behind this disease.
