  1. The practice squad is a possibility, much more than the regular roster, IMO. That said, if he can play, how long do you think it'll be until some other team signs him? Not long. This is much like the Kennard Cox pick last year. They simply don't have room on the roster and regardless of the quality of the player, that makes it a very questionable pick. Whether its Harris, Youboty or Corner, someone probably has to go once the final cut downs occur. Granted, its just a 6th rounder, but it makes one wonder what the front office is thinking.
  2. If he's a practice squad player, then he's going to have to be cut first. They're not a part of the active roster. If he's any good, someone will just sign him off the practice squad and this pick will have been flushed down the toilet.
  3. You're right to a point, but if they have to cut this guy this fall for the final roster AND they end up thin at DT or some other position, then this doesn't look too bright, at least IMO. They have too many DBs. They can't keep 'em all.
  4. They may as well just forfeit the pick. They can't carry all of these DBs on the roster anyway. Someone is going to have to be cut.
  5. I realize its only a 6th round pick, but good grief. The Bills have: Terrence McGee Ashton Youboty Reggie Corner Leodis McKelvin Drayton Florence And now...Cary Harris. So...who gets cut?
  6. What are the odds that a 6th round CB can make this final roster? Its not impossible, I suppose, but it seems to me that they could've helped themselves more with...well...just about anything else.
  7. And the Bills select...CB Cary Harris, USC I'm not going to B word too much about a 6th rounder, but someone, please explain this one to me.
  8. I don't know if it will or not. In the long run, yes, I expect it to result in an improvement in the running game, but this is still going to be a big change up front, especially with what amounts to three rookies (Wood, Levitre, Bell) likely to see significant playing time. Its going to take a while for that OL to come together as a single unit.
  9. Its getting pretty thin at this point... I'm going back to my R5 prediction: DTs Vance Walker or Mitch King.
  10. He's about 235lbs. Best guess...LB.
  11. Nic Harris. Almost certainly an OLB for us.
  12. From LT to RT: Walker, Wood, Hangartner, Butler, Bell. Levitre is the first guy off the bench and probably starts at LG in a year with Wood at C.
  13. As quick as they ran up with the card, I believe it.
  14. Not long until the Bills pick again. I'll predict a DT here. Vance Walker, Mitch King or Clinton McDonald.
  15. My guess at 147: Vance Walker or Mitch King
  16. He's fallen this far. If the Bills want to draft him, they may as well take their chances that he'll be available at 147. At this point, no one is worth trading up for.
  17. That's the way it is in R4. Everyone has a hole or two in their game. Nelson will make an effort as a blocker, which is probably why the Bills valued him over Casey or Ingram, but he's basically just a big receiver first and foremost.
  18. Its pretty obvious that they liked Nelson a LOT with that pick. They had that card up almost immediately after Dallas made their selection. I don't think they expected him to still be available here.
  19. TE Shawn Nelson. Yes!
  20. Damn. That was quick. Bills pick is in.
  21. I wouldn't complain. He's the most talented QB prospect still on the board and the fact is, its not unthinkable that the Bills would be looking for a starting QB going into next season. At least Davis would give them a realistic option.
  22. I'd have no argument with it at all, but if they go TE, I think it'll be Nelson.
  23. I'll cast another vote for Lawrence Sidbury.
  24. I don't think they actually will take a TE here. LB or DL, most likely. One guy I didn't (and still don't) expect to be available at 121 is Lawrence Sidbury. They've already drafted a DE, but if he's there, it would be tough to pass on him.
  25. Most likely, that 4.67 or whatever he ran wasn't representative of what he'd normally run, anyway. He's been injured and wasn't able to work out at Oregon's Pro Day. You can probably safely knock a tenth or so off that time, I'd guess.
