John Ross as WR replacement for JohnBrown

Tyrone Shoelaces Maybe having one of the top young QB's in the league wasn't helping? -
It's also difficult to run when you throw almost every down in the first half and make no commitment to the run game. I would expect that to change a bit next season. I would expect there to be a lot of bargains to be had later this offseason. I expect another WR at the least in FA to add speed.
-
I would think they're expecting Cody Ford to make an impact on the run game. Plus Feliciano participating in camp and not coming off a major injury could help too. Williams could be expected to improve as well.

What’s your earliest memory of the Buffalo Bills?
klos63 replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
OJ's stride was a thing of beauty, it was like he was gliding, but nobody could catch him. Still the most enjoyable back to watch, to this day. I was at War Memorial for a game against the Boston Patriots in 1970, in 1971, i was at the Houston game, the fans were chanting good bye Harvey. I had to have my father explain that to me. I was 8 at the time. -
Mahomes restructures, opens up 17 million in cap space
klos63 replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Gotta think that in negotiations with these mega deals, that restructure is part of the plan in a couple years. The player and agent are expecting it. -
Restructures aren't bad for the player, pay cuts are.

He wears his wedding ring during games. -
Micah Hyde signed to 2 yr extension - Schefter

His play is still at a high level, will probably look even better if we fix our DLine. He and Poyer have been the backbone of this whole team, let alone the defense, then Beane focused on the offense. Hyde and Poyer are 2 of my all time favorites, they have the skills and the intangibles needed to win. -

Our punter is left footed, isn't he? another option should they not feel they could afford a few million for their punter. -
Texans coaching staff on Watt - bitter or truthful?

He was under contract, was Houston planning on releasing him? -
Texans coaching staff on Watt - bitter or truthful?

If he was just concerned about the money and not winning, he could have stayed in Houston, he's actually taking a slight pay cut going to AZ. -
If any, which player should have their position switched?

You want to move a guy who's big issue is shedding blocks to the DL to take on 330 lb tackles? -
I've had directv for the better part of 25 years. The only reason I have it is for football, I look forward to just subscribing to only what I would want to watch.

maybe I am being stubborn, or maybe I just have a different expectation from a player when I hear 'freakish'. To me a freakish athlete would stand out and dominate. Remember Jevon 'The Freak' Kearse? That's what I think of when I hear freakish, Knox doesn't stand out. Sorry , he could have amazing combine numbers but as we have all learned over the years, that doesn't equate to on the field freakish performances. So being in the 72nd percentile is 'freakish'. Right.
-
The topic is 'freakish' athleticism, I don't see it and nobody can point it out to me. I'm not sure I get the chart, is the 86th the percentile he's in?
-
Hardly, but save me the time and point out examples of this 'freakish athlete'. I would think they'd be quite obvious, right? Beane obviously isn't happy with TE production.
-
Me and Lee are tight!
-
actually I have. Most NFL players are very athletic, Knox is probably in the lower half of NFL TE's right now. I think he will continue to improve, but how much and how quickly are important questions. I heard a rumor we are interested in Engram for a 3rd, I'd do it in a heartbeat. What have I missed ? What makes him so special? Again, I don't think he's bad, I think he's decent and still has the ability to improve. But I've never seen anything about him that's 'off the charts' as some like to say. He's not faster, bigger, still drops a few too many, average blocker, not great separation....

This was post season review. “We just never really got that position,” Bills General Manager Brandon Beane said. “At the end of the year, I thought we did a little bit. Dawson started to get his groove. But it was never where the opposing defense was like, ‘Man, we’ve got to stop their tight ends from going off.’ So we’ll look to that group.”
-
like I said, he knows better than I do, but still haven't seen anything freakish about him. Nothing he has done really stands out as anything special. I don't dislike him and he's worth having on the team, but even Beane said we need more from him, freakish or not.
-
see how most of the Bills fans act too. Don't take balls from Diggs please.
-
He knows better than I , but I haven't seen anything 'freakish' about Knox yet. Most NFL players are great athletes, nothing really stands out with him. I wouldn't cut him, I think he's a decent 2nd tight end, but would love to get Engram from the Giants for this season.
