  1. Rueben Gant- come on. Read the Buffalo News article about Patulski not too long ago. Interesting story. Didn't realize his first couple seasons were pretty strong. Think he had injuries. The myth of him may be stronger than the reality.
  2. Richie Lucas - first , first round pick ever. Set the tone for the next 50+ years.
  3. Yes, a good thing, because you would be disappointed if you were.
  4. i'll try not to make a habit of it.
  5. Let's overpay so we could complain about being in cap hell next season. My guess is if that happens and seems likely, that Groy would get a bump in pay through an extension. Still likely a team friendly deal.
  6. I've never been a huge fan of Wood, but don't understand the value in cutting him.
  7. Is it really that hard for you to figure out?
  8. Do we know if he turned down the offer or just hasn't decided?
  9. The whole goal of free agency is to acquire comp picks, right?
  10. Why not keep both, if Woods comes back strong, great. If not, we can cut him next season and still have Groy.
  11. You should listen to Bills fans occasionally, you might change your tune.
  12. I guess I'm a little jealous too.
  13. It's a team game, but it's still Taylor's fault. they won the regular season too. Might be smart to keep the criticisms of the Pats and their fans to a minimum. They will win every argument.
  14. So since you are already dismantling the argument for losing the comp picks, can we all just wait til free agency is over before condenming the FO and maybe focus on improving THIS YEARS team. Makes sense. He is an upgrade over Felton - THAT is something.
  15. apparently Hauschka was cut too, so he doesnt' count either. Your argument is losing strength. Nothing negative about upgrading a position with an Pro Bowl player.
  16. Tolbert doesn't count against comp picks, Panthers cut him last month. The team believes it upgraded the fullback position by signing a Pro Bowl player and we now have a short yardage back, with we didn't have before. There is logic to the FB signings.
  17. You're making a huge assumption that Marshall would want to sign with Buffalo. Byrd is still available, so they might sign him. Why not? and no we are not.
  18. Signing your own FA's doesn't cost you picks.
  19. These are also teams that have deep rosters already and don't have a need to acquire numerous FA's. There are 2 ways to look at this. So does the fact the DW acquired 2 comp picks last year prove he's not stupid and maybe just adapts to the current situation differently than last years situation? Would you be ok with the team having signed no FA's so far ? I believe it's 4.
  20. and how many of these FA's will be any good. Do you want to wait that long to address the teams needs and just hope the other teams passed on quality players?
  21. First- doubt he would be worth a 3rd , Second- what if the team feels he can help the team this season, would getting a solid backup guard worth a 5th round pick- which is more in line with any comp pick he would might garner. What difference does it make if you get a player as a FA as opposed to a draft pick. A player is a player.
  22. Or we can hope that he makes a significant contribution to the team when he is called on.
  23. Just a suggestion, but you may want to wait until free agency is over before you B word about not having comp picks. Zach will likely get a sizable contract elsewhere. you beat me to it.
