The last season he started, he played fairly well. 16/4 TD/INT ratio, 90. QB rating. They didn't figure him out that well. And while this talk is going on, Matt Cassel is the QB for detroit right now. How is he still in the league?
A bigger headache than Peterman throwing to the other team most of the time? Big deal with any media circus... we'll be lucky to win 3 games this season
I remember Kaep leading the 49er's to the Super Bowl, also him reclaiming the QB spot from Gabbert and having a pretty decent season on a real crappy team.
Although the team made the playoffs last season, I think the staff planned on a rebuilding year with the all the trades and making the playoffs wasn't expected. It hardly seems like they are expecting to make the playoffs this season with the team they've put together. I wonder if they expect to compete next season. I know it's one game, but I have to start to question 'the process'. We are not even competitive.
Yeah the Bills were awful most of the time, but why do we need someone like Sullivan telling us what we all saw. He added very little for someone with access to the players.
Interesting article. I found his attitude towards the dead money from AJ and Coleman to be sort of cavalier. The Coleman deal cost us a 7th rounder and $3MM in dead cap.
We are missing 3 starters from last season. Our best 3 linemen at that. To me it seems we don't have enough talent on the line. Not sure if that's coaching or Beane's fault. Regardless, it's a huge problem.
I'm not so sure of that. Third preseason game is generally the final warmup for the regular season with starters getting much more playing time. It's significant that he is starting this game.
