  1. I would think if the team finishes with 4-6 wins , it would be logical that they would be 'under the gun'. A lot of factors would be in play and you have to see how the season plays out. What if Allen is injured most of the season, I would think that would be taken into account. Basically, if you don't win, you are under pressure, nothing out of the ordinary there.
  2. ASU is stacked for next season. Only losing one starter. They will be a top team unless something messes up.
  3. Both lines. Can never have too much talent there.
  4. Much like the situation with Lawson, Beane is not too concerned with Hughes and a potential new contract moving forward. "Jerry is a guy that we like and respect," Beane said. "He's kind of a veteran now that Kyle is gone. He's probably the elder statesman of our [defensive line], so Jerry's a guy we like. That', more than likely, something that probably after the draft. Right now, our 100-percent focus is pretty much there." Looks like Hughes gets an extension after the draft.
  5. Does Milano really get a big contract? He's a nice player, but is he worth a long term deal right now?
  6. Beane doesn't seem like the type that will get us in cap problems. We still have plenty of space , the cap goes up every year and we lose big contracts regularly too.
  7. Didn't Beane recently mention that they would be working to extend Hughes? Why would ya?
  8. I'm singling it out? The NFL just made a major rule change because of that one blown call. It's only bias when it involves the Pats and the Bills, right? as you obviously do too.
  9. Blinders? You mean like you discounting actual statistics about Gilmores penalties because it doesn't fit your narrative? Right There is not a' ton of holding on almost every play', again that's just lazy thinking. Some people say that and then others just repeat the same thing year after year without thinking about it honestly.
  10. Where was the bias in the NFC championship team? Do you consider the Saints to be a small market team? Is that why the call wasn't made?
  11. Gilmore has had more flags per season with the Patriots compared to his years with the Bills. Some other Bills fan whined about that a while back and I checked the stats. So your argument is invalid. Fouls are not committed on almost every play. That is a lazy argument.
  12. Yeah , the Bills probably would have won a few super bowls recently if not for the bias. Good grief.
  13. Actually, I think those are all cliches- a players player, leads by example... you hit the motherlode in cliches.
  14. you forgot - blue collar, lunch pail and probably a few other cliches.
  15. averaging 3.3 with our line is the equivalent of 4.6 with any other line in the league.
  16. I'm gonna guess that won't ever happen again. Just with us.
  17. Not silly, they were a different team with Gaines in the lineup.
  18. I think the focus is on both lines. Most of our OLine aren't long term solutions, both guards and RT need some young talent.
  19. I agree that he is getting up there in age, but last season he threw career high yards and TD's.
  20. That's what makes him the best. His impact on games was like no other TE.
  21. Do you think the Pats will address any perceived weakness with their 12 draft picks, 6 of which are in the first round, and with some remaining free agents? I doubt they'll just ignore their roster til training camp.
  22. instead the drafted a guy that was too injured to contribute at all.
  23. But we did get Torrel Troup so....
  24. is it possible for someones career to end 'fast and furious' after 19 seasons? As far as walking away on top - he is currently on top and the Patriots have 6 picks in the first 3 rounds this year. Plenty of ammo to add to their lineup.
