  1. Thats essentially it, as I see it. The last two games, the Bills offense has been highly predictable based on their sets and motion. The defenses recognize it and bring the heat on the back side of the play while jumping the pattern. Play action, screens, running the ball are all good to help with that; but they have to do it less predictably. Running every first down between the tackles then following that up with a stuffed run because they know that’s your tendency is a recipe for a lot of 3rd downs. Then the swing WR hitch. Yep. Blowed up. Punt.
  2. I certainly welcome you to follow a second team and leave this forum in haste. It’s a good idea.
  3. The offense is starting to look like the offenses of Hacket with no creativity or rhythm and little situational awareness. Top that with the majority of plays happening within 10yds of the LOS and defenses can just tee off. They have little fear of the 20-25yd crossing patterns. How many times did they call the WR bubble screen thing.. it didn’t work. No play action passes. Few designed rollouts .. Josh does this, but not by design. The offense is predictable and relies on short passes to the boundary or runs between the tackles. Add in that we have no true “playmakers”… and it’s a recipe for failure. If Brady can’t adjust and figure it out.. the season is over in the WC round.
  4. Yeah he’s gotta stop hitting WRs in the head. Make it more on target.
  5. Gotta say… we’ve seen so much over the years. I mean how many teams win that when give the ball up with 8seconds left, 1 quick out pass, kicker nails a 59yarder to win the game. For those that feel this team’s fortunes have changed… I offer we still lose in heartbreaking, unbelievable fashion far more than we pull a game out.
  6. Agreed… let Tribisky run a play action pass to the Knox. No one. No one would have seen that coming. But a handoff up the middle to Cook. They literally wasted a down with that predictable call.
  7. Exactly. He apparently has no ability to track the ball downfield. Maybe he needs glasses?
  8. Joe Brady’s offense has been figured out. He needs to seriously self scout and figure something out. 2 weeks in a row… the defenses have been all over our offense. Free blitzers on Josh on nearly every drop back. No play action. The offense has been figured out.
  9. Serious question…. Have you ever had a good feeling about a Bills game?
  10. Lots of typical over reaction around here, but I guess getting completely beat down in every facet of a game will do that. My concern is that the Bills are so good against so many teams and rack up all sorts of amazing stats that they seem reluctant to make any real changes. And when they play really hard hitting, punch you in the mouth kinda teams that are well coached… that’s when they really struggle. It’s why we keep getting bounced in the divisional round. They meet these really hard hitting, physical teams and just never adjust or match the energy. The Bills looked like they were playing with 10 men on the field. That’s coaching, that’s attitude. Hopefully they can figure something out before January.
  11. Worst loss in how many years? Got outplayed in every way shape and form. It’s a long season. Hang in there everyone. Regroup, refocus, get a win.
  12. Y’all need to watch the clip above about .. Gap integrity. If I were to hazard a guess, I’d say Ed has been maintaining his gaps, closing running/passing lanes and not being asked to get after the QB and make all the stat inducing plays. Those game plans and results may come.
  13. Gotta say… perhaps the best game breakdown out there. Thanks for posting!
  14. No doubt… I agree. The Jags are not a bad team. The Bills definitely get the edge.. they’re 2-0 for a reason and playing at home with a few days extra rest. So they should win this game. However, as we all know, anything can happen and the Jags are very much (I think) going to come out on fire to prove they belong and salvage their season before it gets out of hand. The Bills need to match that intensity in the first quarter, and then keep the peddle down to put them away in the 3rd. Do that and I think they cruise to 3-0.
  15. Do people really think that after 11days off and playing on Monday night, the Bills players will look past this game? I'm not saying they will absolutely win… any team can lose or win each week. But, there's zero chance the Bills will be unfocused or looking forward to the next game.. and they will have long gotten over the high of thrashing Miami. This is in no way shape or form a trap game, even if they do exist.
  16. He definitely got there early, but my question is what’s the line between interfering and trying to catch the ball? The defender was in position, looking at the ball, both players jumped and made contact. Why is that pass interference? Thats why they rarely call PI on Hail Mary plays. They’re all down there and jump for the ball.. essentially what this play was.
  17. No. We would gave still been a wildcard. Solid point… if you change all sorts of things and we lose every game we won… yeah. We would have sucked! And to think… I used to come here for smart football discussion about the Bills.
  18. You lose too many commercials without a break before the kickoff, then one after the kickoff.
  19. Barely made the playoffs last year? I stopped reading there.. anyone that thinks that.. clearly has a preconceived narrative that they’re forcing wrong opinions on to make it work.
  20. I can honestly say the Rex hire was my low point. I called my sister that day and said you might as well cancel your Sunday Ticket, because we’re going to suck for 3 years until he’s fired. Fortunately, it didn’t take that long. The day he left was the day I had hope, again, that we would win the Super Bowl. The game had passed him by, yet he carried himself as if he had won a dozen SBs. To the weird category, I would like to suggest the fact that it was Tyrod Taylor at QB that ended the drought as being right up there with the weirdest. The good, for me, starts and ends with Josh. I still can’t believe sometimes we drafted him and he developed into the player that he is. For the bad, I’d like to just add the Roger Goodell and every thing he has done to grow the league and make money is horrible for fans. And why does the league seem to hate Buffalo and screw the team repeatedly? I guess that’s a rhetorical question more than anything. Back on point, Rex sucked. LOL. I guess it is true, it is darkest just before the dawn.
  21. Well a white Buffalo was born in Yellowstone …so it has to be the year.
  22. I’m old. But I really like watching the old broadcasts… without all the distracting onscreen stuff. You get to just see the players and crowd. Now… you have the constant ticker with scores and individual stats, down and distance, current LOS, first down line, tv station logo, and whatever else I’m forgetting. You forget how distracting that all is, until you see one of these old broadcasts. Not to mention announcers that actually talk about the game being played on the field. I am old though.
  23. They possibly gave it up for nothing. I agree. But they may have lost the WR they wanted. Agreed, we’ll never know now. Either way we allowed the team that kicks our ass in the playoffs every year to work their board the way they wanted.
  24. Allowed them to move up and take a player they actually wanted. yes, they may have still drafted him had they not traded up. But, they may not have had that opportunity. Clearly they thought there was a need to trade up to ensure they got him. We made sure that could happen. Is another later round pick really that great? I guess time will tell. But at some point all these brilliant moves need to at least get us to the championship game.
