TSW Mock Draft Poll - Who Should the Bills select at #91
Kirby Jackson replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
I voted Battle. He feels like BPA to me and it will be a need by 2024. -
Every year there are players drafted on day 3 (or undrafted) that go one to have great careers. Who is the player, projected outside of the top 100 picks, that you think is likeliest to be a good pro? I’ll throw a name out: Rakim Jarrett, WR Maryland He was a highly recruited player with great physical tools. His technical skills are lacking but if he gets “coached up” you’ll have something imo.

Shaq is interesting to me. It’s rare to see a guy go from overrated, to underrated to properly rated. Shaq ia a quality football player. He does everything pretty well. When the Bills drafted him we all wanted more. He became a good edge setter and a smart player. Now, he’s in the role where he belongs. He’s a good, rotational DE, with a high floor. Good signing

27 may be obvious even if unexpected

I do believe Hooker is in play at 27. I believe that the Bills would like to move out of that slot. They may try to go up if JSN or an OT slips. Otherwise, I would think that they would like to go back instead of reaching on a LB (for example). In order to go back, someone must want to come up. Hooker is the only logical target in that range. That’s 5th year option for a QB is so valuable. -
The Carolina Panthers select CJ Stroud, quarterback, THE Ohio State University

I’m in Virgil…I’ll take whoever you need me to grab

WR is the more impactful position but the TE talent in this draft is superior to the WR talent. I’ve vowed to try to steer clear of discussing positions with the draft. The PLAYERS determine the correct answer, not the positions. It isn’t “TE or WR.” It is “Player X (wr)” or “Player Y (te).” The “X” and the “Y” determine the correct answer.

Name 2 players the Buffalo Bills will select in the 2023 NFL Draft
Kirby Jackson replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
Luke Schoonmaker-TE, Michigan Gervon Dexter - DL, Florida I will add Jonathan Mingo to the mix as well. He feels like a Bills target to me. -
I tried to move my 2 next to my brother’s 2. Last year we made it into the same section, 4 rows apart. There were no sets of 4 so I think that I’m staying where I’m at in section 237.

I appreciate the tips on how to voice an opinion on TBD. I’m learning a lot.

There are eye rolls attached. A LOT of Bills fans believe that McDermott is invincible. If we were to run a poll on here that said something like, “If the Bills lose in the Divisional Round this year, should they fire McDermott?” I would bet that the majority would want to retain him. I don’t think that he can stay even with a Championship Game appearance. If his team isn’t playing for the Super Bowl this year someone else needs to be coaching this team next year.
-
I’ll keep it to the current team. The coaching staff isn’t good enough. They are holding the team back. They were great to build a program but someone else needs to take them over the hump. Dwayne Casey won coach of the year and was fired that offseason. The Raptors won a title shortly thereafter. I wanted Sean Payton this year. I don’t think McDermott should have immunity. It is Super Bowl or bust this year for him. We cannot waste the best years of Josh Allen.

I remember people on here were excited when the Bills wasted a pick on that scrub 😂. It was the ultimate, “hey, we have heard of him” excitement. I’m surprised that he is still getting a check, but hey Peterman is too. It pays to be a scrub that studies the playbook and shuts up. Those two, combined, have completed just under 51% of their career passes, with 5 TDs and 16 INTs 😂😂. For some context, Jamarcus Russell completed 52.1% of his passes with 18 TDs and 23 INTs.

I’m an Elijah Moore fan. I wanted the Bills to draft him. I like the move for Cleveland. That Jeudy price tag must still be too high.

Apparently the league thought differently 😂😂. Harris at a $1.7M base is a nice deal.
-
Happy for him!! Hope that he got PAID

He’s a much better fit in this offense next to them. He is what people thought Moss was. My issue is, depending on the money, I would have rather Zeke and a comp pick. I was fine with a late round back to do that role too. Harris is a pretty good back and will help the short yardage offense. He can also play in the event of an injury elsewhere. He’s a nice role player and if the numbers are right, a decent signing. That’s what I have said from the beginning and some have taken issue with that. He’s fine and a nice fit from a skill set perspective.
-
I agree 100% with everything that you are saying.
-
This is perfectly reasonable and will hopefully keep Josh hits down. Moss couldn’t get it done. Harris has been good in those situations.
-
I don’t disagree. He is a fine short yardage option. Harris is an okay back but don’t want people to think that he is some star. He hasn’t been. He’s Jamal Williams without receiving skills and an injury history.
-
Find where I said “higher.” I said it is the same (4.7 YPC). Please provide that quote. I do believe in being factually accurate. I took issue with someone saying “Harris has 3x the workload” when Singeltary has 368 more touches in his career. I’m not making stuff up. That’s not my deal around here. I provided facts and you can do with them what you will.

Add in the Allen carries and this feels about right.

I was in Louisiana when Fournette was at LSU. I never understood the hype. He was a HS legend and had the body. He just never felt like a great back to me. I used to argue that Zeke > Fournette all of the time. Bijan reminds me of Barkley without the breakaway speed. This draft reminds of the 2013 draft when it comes to skill players. 2023 has better QBs but the rest of the skill players are meh. Bijan jumps out at me because he is a “can’t miss” guy. 2013 produced Kelce, Hopkins, Le’Veon, Keenan Allen and a few others but none were “can’t miss.” Hopkins is the only one of them that went in the 1st and that was at 27. This draft feels like it’ll probably produce some high end players but who knows which ones it will be. I like Robinson because I think that he is likely to be one of the good players to come out of it. P.S. If you ever want to see another Louisiana HS legend go watch Pooka Williams HS highlights. He is by far, the best HS player that I have ever seen. I saw Ja’Marr Chase, Justin Jefferson, etc… in high school.
