  1. It is kind of an opinion but it’s pretty annoying. Last year the Bills had Ford and he was inactive. This year, he’s playing at a Pro Bowl level.
  2. This year has been amazing!! There are very few areas to nitpick. Seeing number 13 on this list this morning was a little annoying:
  3. The same people that we went with in Miami?!? Enjoy it my friend!!
  4. I was somewhere between a 2 and 4. I wanted a change because Josh Allen will only be in his prime for so long. It has felt like McDermott had taken this team as far as he could. This year, he seems to have taken a step forward. This is absolutely his best coaching job. The team is playing loose and making good adjustments. We haven’t seen too many mind-numbing clock or challenge issues. He still uses too many defensive timeouts for my liking but that’s nitpicking. McDermott belongs in the COY conversation. He’s been excellent. Barring a major collapse on his part in the postseason, he should be back (even without a Super Bowl).
  5. Jump on in; the water is warm!!
  6. The Bills are winning the Super Bowl. I’ve tried to remain objective and not get ahead of myself. That’s over now. The Bills just feel like a championship team and nothing can derail them at the moment. Book your flights to New Orleans now.
  7. I don’t “want” any particular answer. I want consistency. If a win over Wentz means less to you than a win over Mahomes, than the Super Bowl against Hostetler wouldn’t have been as satisfying as if Simms played. That’s what consistency would look like. I don’t care what anyone believes. The thing that makes this place best is when people stick to their beliefs. If he said, “that Super Bowl win wouldn’t have meant as much to me as if Simms played,” I would respect that. The best posters are the ones that support their positions and remain steadfast when challenged. There are lots of people on here who have said outlandish things. Stick to your guns if you really believe it.
  8. Hypocrisy and hyperbole have gotten out of control on this board over the last few years. When someone says something dumb, it should have a light on it. You obviously didn’t answer the Hostetler/Simms question because it would either make you a hypocrite or a bad fan. I expected this kind of response. Instead of backpedaling to “a win is most important” you stuck to your guns that they all aren’t created equal. If you’re being consistent, we can all assume that you would have thought less of the Bills, if they won in Super Bowl XXV because Simms was out. Do you now understand why your original point has been criticized by so many?
  9. So I ask again, is a in over Hostetler less satisfying than a win over Simms? If a win over Wentz is less satisfying than a win over Mahomes, surely the Giants Super Bowl would be the same.
  10. Would you have discounted Super Bowl XXV if Norwood’s FG went through? That win wouldn’t have been satisfying enough because it was Hostetler and not Simms?
  11. Jones is incredible. He’s a top 5 defensive player. At the same time, he didn’t have a sack since week 4 until yesterday. He could be prime Lawrence Taylor and the answer is still Mahomes. Having a HOF QB, with 3 Super Bowl MVPs, is always more dangerous than anyone else.
  12. I want the Bills to win a Super Bowl. I assumed that we all wanted that. Moral victories, in pro sports, don’t matter. They don’t ask “how?” They ask “how many?” Right now that answer is 0. Our mentality needs to evolve from “satisfaction in good wins” to “expectations of championships.” Ideally, we would play Skylar Thompson, Easton Stick, Carson Wentz and Daniel Jones. That’s much better than Herbert, Lamar, Mahomes and Goff. Keep your eye on the prize.
  13. All equally crazy in their own way. You don’t get extra titles for “becoming their daddy.” Chris Jones is a dominant player. No reasonable person, including Chris Jones, would say that they’re a better team with Jones and no Mahomes. If you “want them at their best” you aren’t crazy; you’re a Chiefs fan.
  14. Um, no, not good. Wins count the same whether Peterman is the QB or Tom Brady. We need to stop with this insecure nonsense about “hoping they’re healthy so we can show everyone that we are good enough.” Those days are gone. The Bills have proven that they belong. Every reasonable person should be cheering for whatever gives them the best chance (ie Bosa not playing). The 49ers getting healthy isn’t something that we should be celebrating. Let’s be better…
  15. 100% true I remember our lease deal was basically structured for a team to fail. The state would cut a $7M payment if we distributed a certain amount of tickets and concession revenue didn’t hit a certain the target. Basically they would subsidize the revenue difference. There were many games where hundreds of tickets were comped, scanned in and thrown in the trash. We hit the distribution target but also helped keep the concession revenue below the target by throwing them out. Pretty sure the league/state would be furious. We also changed the pricing structure of suite tickets so that they wouldn’t hit the revenue sharing with the players. That was super shady but that’s what he wanted.
  16. I don’t think people realize the extent of ownership’s role. I didn’t fully grasp it until my time working in sports. 100% of decisions are driven by ownership. They may empower the people to make decisions but it is within their vision. We did things that absolutely weren’t in the best interest of the team, at times, but it was what ownership wanted. Who knows if Woody is selling. That’s irrelevant in this conversation. If he is selling, it’s bad. If he isn’t, good. They will suck for as long as he’s there.
  17. That’s the point. He may or may not be good. Woody is bad. I’ll take the known bad vs. the potential for good ownership. I want what’s good for the Bills not what’s good for the Jets.
  18. I think that I agree with this list. There’s a guy on Twitter that seems to be kind of plugged in on the Purdy situation. He’s insisted for the last couple of weeks that he will be out the year (don’t remember what). He’s been saying, even before last week, that it would be announced after the Bills game. Either way, I can’t imagine that they run him out there, in that weather, with that shoulder. The juice isn’t worth the squeeze based on their current standing.
  19. This isn’t good. Ownership is the single most important factor of a team and so many people don’t even realize that. Every person, from GM, to coach, to scout, to concession manager are responsible for carrying out ownership’s vision/goals. I have no idea if Bezos will be good. I know Woody Johnson is a disaster.
  20. Buffalo has been hit and miss with minor league sports. The Bandits get phenomenal support. There was some stat last year that was like “their lowest attended game was more attended than the highest attended game anywhere else in the league.” Before someone tries to come with the “that’s not a minor league sport,” it is. There are 4 major professional team sports. Maybe someday the MLS will make 5. Everything else is a minor league. There have been others that have come and gone. The Destroyers, Stallions, Wings and Blizzard all come to mind. The Bisons are hanging around. I just don’t see this minor league football thing working in Buffalo. It’s a pass from me.
  21. I’ll take the under. The Bills had 1 player listed on some of the NFL top 100 players (a different list had Dawkins at like 95 too). They aren’t sending 8 guys to the Pro Bowl. Josh, one of the tackles, maybe Cook or Shakir, maybe Rousseau feels safe. Benford doesn’t have the picks. Bernard has a case too but has some missed time. Taron is the same. They’ll have like 4 guys go. It’s a popularity contest based on reputation. These Bills players, outside of Josh, Dawkins and Taron, don’t have reputations.
  22. I was the same way towards them for most of my life. In 2019, they came to New Orleans for a game. It was normal to see opposing fans come to New Orleans for a game. It happened all of the time. It is an elite away game trip. I remember, in my 14 years living there, the 49ers fans were the most obnoxious. That was surprising to me. They were worse than Dallas. They were even worse than Philly which was a little shocking to me. After that weekend, I had a new found dislike for that franchise.
  23. Load the box and sell out to stop the run. Making a team one-dimensional is what you want in the nfl. They don’t have Lamar to also account for.
