  1. Then I guess we disagree on that. This year I’d love one of those 3. I’m not moving up to a spot that will require next year’s first to do it.
  2. We have no issues there either though. The rising cap works for everyone. What’s an “overpayment” today may be a bargain in 2 years. The cap grows like $10M a year. $15M for a good (not great) starting CB won’t be bad value at all with a $230M cap in 3 years. That’s the point. That’s what the smart teams have realized. That’s why there’s no such thing as “cap problems.” You just keep pushing the money later knowing that the cap will grow. EXACTLY!!
  3. If the cap keeps rising every year that’s not an issue. In 2 years that may even be considered good value.
  4. If you read my posts I’ve said that I have no issue (at all) trading up for a top 3 WR. I don’t want to use next year’s 1 but I’m fine using the 2 and another pick to get one of them. That post that you quoted was about trading back into the late 1st for a guy. I don’t see the value. The guys in the late 1st aren’t much different than the guys in round 2.
  5. I thought you were talking about trading the following year’s first.
  6. If this draft started Lamb and Anae we should be thrilled.
  7. He just cleared protocol from the preseason last week!! You are 100% correct but they’ll never do that because guys will just hide it. I have a good friend that played for 7 seasons. He was a backup LB and special teamer. He said that he had a few documented concussion but had more than a dozen more that he never said anything. As a guy fighting to stay on a roster he was worried about his job.
  8. I don’t think there’s any doubt about that. This team is not adding 9 rookies. They just don’t have the room on the roster. He will do what he does, target guys and go get them.
  9. That’s not an indicator either. There is nothing that makes a 2nd round receiver better than a 1st. Just because teams had their boards wrong doesn’t mean you should wait. You should just do a better job assembling your board.
  10. Sammy too Still though, that has nothing to do with this draft. What they did previously when trading away a future first has no correlation to what would happen this time. They may get a HOFer or they may get Peterman.
  11. It’s like anything. It depends how your board stacks up. If you have the 3 WRs in your top 10 (as an example) and the next one not until 30 (as an example) you may try to get up to get a guy in that Lamb/Jeudy/Ruggs tier. That holds true for any position but based on the way that they have targeted WR in this draft it seems like the likeliest position.
  12. I agree. I was just using 15 as a round number. I think Tampa at 14 would be the realistic target of one of them gets past Indy.
  13. I know what you are suggesting. I don’t think that’s realistic. The tier of players doesn’t really move between 20 and 60 in this draft IMO. You aren’t going to trade to 30 to get Reagor (as an example) when you can get Ayiuk (as an example) with your 2nd. The gap isn’t there. I agree that with your premise that they will be aggressive but I don’t believe it will be like you suggest.
  14. I could get behind this for sure. The Bills don’t have a lot of holes. I think this offseason is about quality and not quantity. They are going to target certain guys in FA and the draft that they think will make the difference. They will swing aggressively to add those guys. I use the top 3 WRs as an example but if one of them is there around 15, the Bills will be on the phone.
  15. I never like the idea of next year’s first. Things change quickly in the NFL. God forbid an injury to Josh and you might be dealing a top 5 pick a year from now for a swing at a WR that you may be able to get 20 picks after. I’m okay moving up for one of the top 3 WRs if the cost is right (2nd and a late pick). I’m not for trading next year’s 1st.
  16. I never want to tell someone what to do with their life but this guy should not play in this league any longer. They shouldn’t clear him. Also, I think that it’s pretty bold of Brady to go to Vegas to compete with Peterman. I thought if he left New England he’d go somewhere with a little clearer path to be a starting QB?
  17. Actually, Post Malone may be the “betting favorite” if there were such a thing at this point.
  18. Without stating the obvious, the Bills have been all over the WR class. They’ve put a ton of resources into this group. I’m thinking that they take 2.
  19. Congrats!! It sounds like a great opportunity for you and your family.
  20. @MAJBobby @GunnerBill and @Blokestradamus walk into a bar...
  21. They just said on the combine that he only had 1 drop this year. That’s pretty crazy with his speed.
  22. Ha ha, I originally put her in and then deleted it. Ha ha
  23. I wonder if they’d ever get crazy and switch it up? Why not try something like Criss Angel or David Copperfield? What about Nik Wallenda? Have them do something absolutely absurd and promote it leading up to the game. I’m not sure that they will draw the viewers before but have potential to be talked about for weeks after.
  24. That halftime show was really bad. The point remains though that the NFL is going to continue to put out artists that they think will appeal to those least likely to watch the Super Bowl. You’re probably looking at like Ed Sheeran or Halsey next year.
