  1. Taylor Swift is another...her music is pretty awful teeny-bopper stuff, but okay, for what it is. If you ever see her perform "live" on an awards show, however, it is very clear that her "vocal chops" are studio produced...and she is possibly the best selling artist over the last 2-3 years...
  2. You know, I saw Yoko Ono live, back in March, playing with Sean Lennon...a Plastic Ono Band "reunion"...I have to say, she was terrific...and believe me, I really never had much of an appreciation for her "art", but, as it turns out, she has been much more influential than I realized. Now, that doesn't mean to say she has a great voice...
  3. I like those dark exotic types myself! http://www.topsexywomen.com/image-files/noureen-dewulf-4.jpg
  4. The word "Buffalo" didn't scare off Ryan Millers' finace! Noureen DeWulf. And, she has her own trading card! What is hotter than that? http://cgi.ebay.com/NOUREEN-DEWULF-PINNACLE-FANS-GAME-AUTO-SABRES-/130523570399?pt=US_Hockey_Trading_Cards&hash=item1e63cfa0df
  5. Note that the author was surprised, not so much by what Beadle said, but that she was one of the only people who agreed to have her words "on the record"....kudos to her for that, if nothing else.
  6. Would you pay $4 for this? http://cgi.ebay.com/01-Fleer-Showcase-TIM-HASSELBECK-Bills-rookie-card-/280668194313?pt=US_Football&hash=item415920c609
  7. Word out today, not only was Mark Schelreths' pilot show not picked up, but the perpetually nausiating Colin Cowherds' show has not been picked up either... no word yet on Mike Greenberg's pilot. I guess the networks really are running out of ideas...
  8. Or perhaps a "rug race"?
  9. As much of loon as he is, I think Mike Huckabee was the most charismatic GOP "candidate" in a long time...
  10. The big expose on ESPN is set to be released tomorrow...might make a good read for the extended off-season...some excerpts, from Deadspin. I love Michell Beadle, but her assesment of Erin Andrews is pretty cold... http://deadspin.com/5803305/what-weve-learned-from-the-espn-book-so-far "You're with me, Leather"...don't know how I missed that one!
  11. As should the idiots who actually consider casting a vote for Trump...or most of the other GOP "candidates" at this point.
  12. Yes, Gene Simmons is very aware of the "real world"
  13. Yeah, I know...I just think it is funny...he is such an attention whore!

  15. Exactly, you don't have to have a great voice to be a great singer...
  16. Oh wow...I thought he was talking about the 1700-1800 NFL players that will have noting to do, during an extended off-season...idle hands and all.
  17. I think Cher is possibly the most a-tonal singer ever, but has made a nice career for herself. Bad singer, at its' purist.
  18. Your argument gets weaker with each post...I am a huge Johnny Cash fan, and honestly not a rap fan, at all, for the most part. But your notion that "anyone can do it" is laughable, and, you sound nuts...sorry dude. I can assure you, there are were those, back in the day, who would have questioned Cash's talent as well... so porn and rap are the "same kind of deal?" Brother...your true feelings are coming through loud and clear.
  19. Speaking of which, saw this piece on Jagger working on a new "supergroup" project, fallout from Keith's book, it seems? http://www.nypost.com/p/pagesix/mick_forms_secret_supergroup_4QQss9y0ePUJ4bnbXV2sCJ Almost forgot about Keiths' "Mein Kampf" reference to Jaggers first solo album, "She's the Boss": I've never listened to [it] the whole way through. Who has? It's like Mein Kampf. Everybody had a copy, but nobody listened to it. I love those early albums too...they hadn't quite developed their own sound yet, and were copping more of a limey blues band thing...good stuff though...Brian Jones hay-day...for you, the Wolfmans' "Little Red Rooster" as done by the Stones, 1965: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iiFnleuNULQ&feature=related
  20. D Wright is the guy that made me finally stop pretending I knew a damn thing about how college guys were going to make it in the pros...according to me, at one time, Wright would have been taking the keys to the car, so to speak, from Nate Turner, taking hand offs from Trent Edwards...and Corey Moore, the best college lindbacker I ever saw, would be contemplating retirement this summer...
  21. Yes, the difference seems to be that one is an old white man glorifying the murder of his woman, who, using your broadstroke argument, is gearing his music towards white people who love their guns more than they love their women. The other is a black street thug, singing about someone else murdering a police officer...the differences are black and white, why can't these people just see that? btw- what are "fantastical lyrics"? Did anyone actually listen to the song they are so outraged by? I am no rap fan, but I swear, I never once heard Common telling kids (or anyone else) to go out and kill police officers...you have a fantastical imagination... I wonder what any of you morons would think of Nick Cave...
