  1. You could say the same thing about Tony Romo.... and you wouldn't necessarily be right.
  2. Rivers is only impersonating a "choke artist" then?
  3. Sorry 3rd... I know what you were commenting on...those are personal points from relatives of the dead... Maybe I was reading more into your comment than you meant...I truly apologize. I just keep reading (here especially) that the president receives no critiscism, and anything that casts him in a negative light gets hidden..and I just don' think that is really true.
  4. Bell has been "pedestrian" at best for the Lions. He really isn't anything special, which has been a pretty big part of the Lions problems on offense...they can't run the ball. Bell has 20 carries for 78 yards (3.9 avg) and 13 catches for 178- 1 rushing td. He is a better receiver out of the backfield than a runner. I would be comfortable with him as a 3rd or 4th RB, but not as a starter. Though, I think I would prefer him to Johnny White. If the Lions can't get LeShoure healthy, they are cooked...
  5. By underestimating her, I simply meant that folks are making it sound like she is simply a pawn between Bill Clinton and the current president. I honestly don't think she will run in 2016, no matter what the circumstances. If she were to win, she would be 69 by the time she took office...that would make either her or Ronald Reagan the oldest first term president. I suppose it is possible, but I believe it when she says she has no interest in running for president again. Yet, when the moderator in the last election asked some pretty tough (fair) questions of Joe Biden, right wingers titty-babied that she was in the pocket of the "Chicago" machine. And you do realize the irony of your statement?
  6. It seems many of you are completely under-estimating Hillary Clinton.
  7. Loved all those guys, other than Bell. We seem to eat our young...imagine if McGahee had never been a Bill, and we signed him as a FA...people in Buffalo would love him!
  8. Mike Holmgren (speaking of tubby old coaches) should be available next year too.
  9. Just stay healthy enough to stay active Merriman... this team needs the emotion you bring to the field...welcome back!
  10. I like the re-singning...as long as Merriman actually dresses for some games, plays, and Chan doesn't tell us he "needs time to get into "football" shape". If that happens, I wouldn't be surprised to see him waived again in a few weeks.. Let's get the band back together...VY is till out there!
  11. My favorite line (paraphrasing): Colbert: "So, is there really blue crystal meth?" Gilligan: "Well, there is now.." OR: Colbert: "Do you ever worry that your show will glamorize things so much, that it will drive kids to become chemistry teachers, or to the dark world of education?"
  12. I have no problem with starting Gilmore. He has had some problems, particularly the last two games (name one Bills defender who hasn't), but I like a lot of what I see of him...let's give him just a little more time before we throw him on the "bust" pile. I also would like to see McKelvin starting...but I am afraid the coaching staff has already decided that this is his last year as a Bill, so he isn't going to start anymore, unless there are injuries. For all the talent McKelvin has, we should be getting more out of him. He has been great on returns...I am not sure that is enough for the Bills to re-sign him. I can't help but think he will end up with another team next year, and be far more productive. I am all over the place on this, I realize...sometimes I think the Bills are talentless, but other times I think they are a collection of very good talent, looking for some coaching. They make too many of the same mistakes over and over.
  13. No, I always want to the Bills to win...even if it screws up a draft pick, or goes against my personal agenda...I am, more and more, joining the camp that doesn't think Fitz is the answer...but I am still gonna root like hell for him to prove us wrong.
  14. Thanks guys...I only cut Garrett Hartley for Jason Hanson, cuz I only had 1 kicker...Hartley wasn't really lighting it up anyways, so I may just stick with Hanson. Also, picked up the Dolphins defense (puke- I know) in anticipation of the Texans bye-week (my only Defense)...also picked up James Starks, on a gamble that he will pay off down the road...but my lineup this week is pretty much the way it would have been without any moves. Got 11 points out of Chris Johnson last night! Not stellar, but about twice what I have come to expect from my first round pick!
  15. Just saw Charley Casserly talking on the NFLN about the Bills defensive line woes...pretty disheartening. I thought Dareus was well on his way to becoming a very good player last year...Casserly insists "if you watch game film" it is obvious that there is something wrong with Mario's arm strength...mentioned that Mario's "hand work" is usually outstanding, but it isn't happening this year. He also said our secondary is experiencing lots of "mental lapses", and our (Wanny's) unwillingness to blitz more often is not helping things...I know this is all stuff we have seen/noticed, but that is the first time I have seen anyone on a national level breakdown our defense, other than just saying it is "woeful" or "hopeless" or "pathetic" etc etc If we lose Dareus to malaise, we are more !@#$ed than I thought...
  16. I took a similar stance on the Sabres last year... I vowed not to watch them again, until they won 3 consecutive games....needless to say, I missed most of December and early January..it wasn't so much the money issue (I had already committed to paying for Center Ice package for the season), it was just the pain of spending (wasting) 9-12 hours a week on something that was bringing nothing positive, in the slightest, to my life, was just too much. I don't know if I can make the same pledge on the Bills, but I do spend significantly less time obsessing over them. It is good... I want them to win as much as anyone (I think they will beat the Cardinals this week!), but dissecting the same problems, week after week, year after year is just tiring... but good luck!
  17. I am pretty sure if you dissected every teams schedule, you would find similar situations. Bills (or Bills fans) need to stop making excuses.
  18. Again, what you define as a "drop" is different than I would define a "drop". Most every pass that has gone Johnson's way has been 3 feet over his head, or 2 feet behind him... the red zone is a little trickier, but in most every situation, Johnson has his man beat. Simply getting a hand on the pass doesn't mean it is an accurate pass. TJ Graham was much the same...makes me laugh when I think in week one, Gailey justified not dressing Graham by saying he "wasn't ready".... I wonder if he meant he (Gailey) "wasn't ready" to start fielding questions about why his franchise QB can't get the ball to his newest weapon...to me, Graham has looked like a credible NFL deep threat, being wasted at this point.
  19. In case you missed it, Colbert had a hilarious interview with Vince Gilligan...promise, no politics involved...if you love "Breaking Bad", you will enjoy this: http://www.colbertnation.com/the-colbert-report-videos/419557/september-27-2012/vince-gilligan-pt--1
  20. I remember that .... though, I think it was Terrell Owens who spoke up the loudest after that loss to Tennessee...as someone who was not a fan of bringing TO to Buffalo that year, I gotta say, the act of expediting the end of the Dick Jauron era of Bills football earns him a special place in my ever-jading Bills heart.
  21. I have seen every snap of every game this year....some more than once...I honestly don't recall Steve Johnson dropping a single ball. What are you watching? I suppose I could be forgetting one...or maybe you define what I would call "uncatchable" as a "drop" but that has not been an issue in 2012...of course, it appears that Fitz can only hit SJ on short underneath routs in the middle, in hopes that he can break a big gain...unless Fitz gets his **** together, it appears that Johnson will have to grow another foot, or bring his catchers glove to try to real in some of the worm burners the QB has been throwing his way...
  22. I will remember this every-time I see the terms "mainstream media spin" and "Chicago politics".... I guess the new mantra is "we are sick of hearing this, so it can't be true!"
  23. I will give it to Mitt Romney...his campaign strategy of "ignore everything I say, I'm for whatever you want me to be for" seems to be working brilliantly.
  24. So, Obama was right about one thing last week...Romney's plan is "nevermind"?
