  1. Sports Violence – Sports Law https://sportslaw.uslegal.com › sports-viol... In 1969, Wayne Maki of the St. Louis Blues hockey team swung his stick at Boston Bruins player Ted Green and fractured his ... This was the first U.S. case where a player was criminally prosecuted for on-ice violence.
  2. The only way to stop the NFL players from using their heads as weapons is to remove the helmets from the game. Without the protection they'll stop after one or two hits. Think Aussie rules football or Rugby. NFL players have too much body armor.
  3. They did show us the sideline instead of the missed FG, and then never a replay.

  5. Not sure if he was fired or left on his own, but Lou Sabah coached the Bills 1962-65 and again 1972-76.
  6. I was surprised by the lack of penalties, especially not being called on the late hits. Not sure all the rule changes have been good for the game.
  7. Made my call today to upgrade to Genie and lower ST cost. First young lady was friendly but could only give me $9 for 6 months off ST. Told me Genie would be $299 plus install and $23 monthly. She transferred me to retention. Second young lady gave me ST for free for being loyal customer since 2003. Then gave me free Genie + 3 genie minis and free install. HD is free for 12 months, DVD and whole home are $13/month with 24 month commitment. She also gave me $5/ month off 'just because' for 6 months. Took me @45 minutes of pleasant conversation with 2 lovely sounding young ladies. I'm calling it a good day, with savings of @$700 + free install and 3 free genie minis.
  8. I'm signing because I pay for the Sunday Ticket to see Bills play. I've been a Bills fan since their inception. My internet connection doesn't have the capability to allow me to watch this game streaming live and it's the best internet option available where I live.
  9. Link to Tasker belongs in the HOF https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Dkb13w4fpuE My favorite memory was watching him arrive at Dion Sanders with the ball and put him down immediately. They sat facing each other and just reached out and shook hands, acknowledging each other as the best. That show of mutual respect is rarely seen today.
  10. I think Brady has been outdone. http://espn.go.com/blog/detroit-lions/post/_/id/16262/deandre-levy-stands-on-top-of-a-plane-somewhere-in-the-world
  11. rob Johnson only had the opportunity to walk off that playoff game field because Doug Flutie got them there with an 10-5 regular season record. We haven't been back since.
  12. thanks for the videos, I'm guessing you wanted me to see Flutie get sacked and fumble in the fish game, but I really liked the game winning drives against Jacksonville and then against NE. Lots of Flutie haters here, but like I said earlier, the guy didn't quit.

The Bills lost 22–16 to the eventual AFC Champion Tennessee Titans in a game that has become known for the Music City Miracle, where the Titans scored on the penultimate play of the game — a kickoff return following the Bills' apparent game-clinching field goal. True, Flutie didn't QB the Bills to a playoff win. He might have if he'd been allowed to play instead of Johnson. We haven't had anything close to a playoff game since then. He may have been an ass in the locker, but he never quit on the field and played his heart out. I loved watching him play.
  14. This is why I buy the Sunday ticket, so I can watch the 2-3games /year that aren't on local tv. Here in Albany, we always get the giants, jets or ne before the Bills. Back in the 90‘s, they would let the viewers vote for the game to watch.
  15. I have a question about stiff arm rules, but I'm afraid it may be lost after 13 pages. I watched both Fred and Steve Smith with awesome stiff arms on NFL Mobile. Fred hits The guy in the chest and then the underarm to knock him down. Nice. Steve gets his hand in the guys face mask and it looks like he pulls him down by it. Even if he doesn't pull his face mask, why is it not a penalty? I've been a Bills fan since the 60's and have only seen one offensive player called for facemask. That was against OJ. Can anyone explain why runners never get called for this penalty? Thanks.
  16. Date Activity 07/15/14 Charged for NFL SUNDAY TICKET 2014. 07/15/14 Started credits for Save $10 for 12 months. 07/15/14 Started credits for Save $5 for 6 months. Sunday ticket was $240, credits are $150. I spent @10 minutes on the phone with a pleasant young lady. When she answered I just asked what was the best deal she could give me on the ticket. No threats to leave, etc. may not be the best deal, but I'm happy. Now, Go Bills!
  17. Tom Galisano might object to sharing her. http://www.tennis.com/pro-game/2014/06/monica-seles-engaged-72-year-old-billionaire-tom-golisano/51733/#.U5jmAdq9KSM
