If it was me, I'd just stand pat and pick 10 players. There are no guarantees if they move up a few picks in an upcoming round, that the player selected will amount to anything. The more picks you make, the better the chances are that you find a diamond in the rough.
I'd sit tight at 40. Make a move to get a 2nd day two pick, or even dump a 5 and a 6 to get another 4, but leave 40 alone. They are going to get a good player.
For the board old-timers, I can't remember who was the other participant in the argument, but it was DT(represented by the never forgotten AKC) vs WR(I can't remember who this poster was)?
LOL
What a miserable condescending prick. He just went on a 10 minute tirade at the start of a show with Bruce Murray about how GM’s, Player Personnel Directors and HC’s are the only ones who really know about prospects....oh and of course he knows.
Everyone else knows a fraction of everything draft related.
Just comes off as a bitter old man.
How is Murray now supposed to to a 4 hour draft show with callers, when you are working with a guy who just said...all you idiots know nothing.
I don't know how many people the NFL Network had at their "main table", but will the networks never learn that less is more? This applies to the draft, to pre-game and half-time shows, along with the dreaded 3 man booth for any sporting event.
The Bills only have two picks today, so they only way they are picking 3 players, is if they "trade up" by moving a 4th and a 5th, or a 4th and a 6th, to get back into the 3rd round.
I've read several reports on Hakeem Butler, and they all mention that he has hands of stones. Why take a guy like this in the 2nd round. Maybe 4th or 5th...if you think you can correct the problem.
Yeah. I didn’t mean to imply he is chubby. Just carrying a lot of weight on a 6’ frame for a guy playing a position where speed and quickness is everything.
I agree. I love Kiper, and there were long periods of time when they didn’t go to him. Get rid of the 4th man(Booger) and make sure your host(Wingo) isn’t hogging the mic.
In no particular order...
Risner
Ford
Samuel
Campbell
Ya-Sin
Murphy
I. Smith
I didn’t list Metcalf as I’d like to know why he slid out of the 1st round. Something must be up. No go on Greedy. Guy won’t tackle if his life depended on it.
