I think the idea of these types of players are overrated and inefficient. The goal line fade is as much as the QB as it is the receiver. I'd prefer to not have our offense need to have a "throw it up" to him guy.
Everyone is one year older, a year more experienced. And again, we continue to avoid a position of importance in Romans offense
Are you suggesting playing Johnson as a traditional TE? Cuz if not, it's still avoiding the position.
Chandler, Gresham and Grey/Rookie would be a solid move IMO. You hav versatility, depth and experience. Face it, the next Gronk isn't walking through our doors anytime soon. Building depth here and spending elsewhere is a more realistic option
For a guy who has terrible vision, he better make the right choice or he's done. A reunion with Gailey would be his best option IMO. Eagles would hve been an interested fit but it seems as if they are not interested. Well, at least it won't be us overpaying him
