  1. As nice as it is to receive the compensatory picks, I doubt it's an intention of the FO
  2. I see wht you're saying, they don't necessarily make sense, but I think they were good moves. Releasing Chandler is still a puzzle to me, other than that, I think they are focused on retaining and acquiring talent
  3. Trial by combat? Cassel will win the job IMO. He is mobile enough and will do well if he can avoid the silly mistakes. I picture a lot of throws between 0-2 yards from the LOS. They will set the QB up to succeed
  4. A QB in the 3rd would be wrong IMO. You could get a real contributor there. They acquired Cassel for a reason.
  5. Yep. He was a RFA and they did not tender him. It would appear two blind squirrels put this together
  6. I'm beginning to think the offense that they're crafting is not what many believe it is going to be. There are too many pieces that just don't seem to fit. Though it makes sense to look at Romans history in SF, I can't help but wonder if they're going for more of a spread/ west coast style
  7. I'm taking the lack on media attention as a sign tht he's being overlooked around the league. Pure speculation, I know that he could be in talks that we've not heard about, but at this point, no news is good news
  8. Sure, but keep in mind Clay still has to sign it. I could absolutely see him signing with Buffalo for less money
  9. Hopefully he has put on some weight. They need a more in line option with Chandler gone IMO
  10. The kid out of Mii, Perryman I believe, is supposed to be a player. I just hope whoever it is can match his intensity and physical nature
  11. I never said it wasn't. I'm just trying to gauge an idea of the plan at the MLB position in terms of depth.
  12. I think Whaley's approach is smart but risky. If he goes elsewhere, who is available for depth?
  13. I didn't take him as a guy who owns pets
  14. Nice... Is this a power play by Spikes' camp trying to draw some increased interest and dollar signs around the league?
  15. I see what you did there...
  16. I haven't seen/heard anything specifically about Spikes since FA broke. No visits, interest or rumors. Am I missing something? I know Doug said that they would keep him in a limited role but I love the intensity, run-stuffing nature he brings to the defense. However, after David Harris re-upped with New Jersey, I thought Spikes would have been a great sign. Today Spikes tweets "Patience Grasshopper"... Waiting for Doug to call? What gives. https://twitter.com/brandonspikes51
  17. If Charles Clay is still looking for a place in Buffalo, I have an open room he can rent.
  18. I'm shocked. I thought regardless of who we brought in, Chandler would have stayed on as a #2. Not a big fan of this move. Best of luck to Scott Chandler. I'll never forget your shoveling touchdown dance from this years home-away-from-home victory over the Jets in Detroit.
  19. I enjoy him. But hate their condescending nature.
  20. If at the right price, why not? He is a dynamic play-maker but is, like many stated, a cancer. mixed feelings here.
  21. Haha some positive media attention, love it I also have a lot of respect for Clark, his career and look forward to watching him commentating games as an analyist.
  22. I'm all for it... Then again, I'm not calling the shots
