  1. As others have suggested, Over the Cap currently has us projected to receive two additional 5th round picks (Leonard Floyd, Gabe Davis) https://overthecap.com/compensatory-picks
  2. Last year they were released March 11th. I imagine they’ll come out again right around the start of the new league year.
  3. So Allen was most overrated player in NFL and MVP in the same season…while also being the biggest trash talker and sportsmanship player of the year? WHAT IS HAPPENING
  4. Some how, I feel like I won 🙂 Congrats JA!
  5. Josh Allen wins award. Yellow flag flies onto the stage. Replay the down. Lamar wins. Fans revolt.
  6. Josh Allen sitting next to John Hamm? Must be a super interesting duo
  7. That was the rams of yesteryear. Now? They’ve taken very good to high level defensive lineman early in the last two drafts (Fiske, Turner, Young, Verse). They’ve all seem to hit and are a dominant force.
  8. I have my childhood 90s cards. Went through the a few years ago and pulled out all the bills greats. It was funny going through it with my adult lense…I have a Patrick Mahomes Sr baseball card. Something so easily passable as a child, now so obviously notable. I had a few that the online retailer I looked at were worth 10-15 bucks but nothing major. Most are garbage. I’ll hang onto them anyways, as I’d like to make a card table for the basement with them.
  9. The game has evolved from the days of the Legion of Boom. The rule book, offensive personnel and scheme have all changed in ways that I am not so sure this is a recipe for success anymore.
  10. Made that mistake last year
  11. Great year to be picking 3 times in that window.
  12. Step one: avoid the WR train thread.
  13. This is interesting. What if they went Harmon-30, Burch- 62
  14. Appreciate the write up Gonzo Personally I’d be very underwhelmed with this selection. Although, he’s had great production as a senior… a lot of his dominance was coming against W Kentucky and Pitt. I think he has a variety of good ways to win. He has a great inside move and can bend the wheel to win with speed. I do question if we can win with power, and fear his get off is a bit slow. Will he be able to continue to produce vs more fleet footed tackles and win in other ways than as a tactician? I don’t think he has any elite measurable quality that would translate to getting excited about him as a prospect. Although only 21, he’s played four years of college ball, and I don’t know what other areas he could grow as a pass rusher. He lacks elite speed or explosiveness, so he will likely find his way to success through nuance. Id be much more comfortable with him in RD2. I haven’t looked into the other names you suggested at 30 aside from Harmon although I’d like to get a peek at Scourton soon
  15. My three and one year old are bills fans. They have no other choice. Not that I wouldn’t be open to it, but it is so ingrained in our family DNA and community they’re entirely immersed in it and frankly have no other choice (family parties, pre k, neighbors, etc…it’s all mafia) If one day they grow up and want to do their own thing, that’s great and I’ll stand by them in whatever their path may be. For now, they’ve inherited it like a gene.
  16. Finally got around to watching some of this guy tonight. Wow, does he jump off the tape. Dude is twitchy and has a very natural wiggle to work around blockers in both the pass and ground game. Hes got good enough bend for a big guy, and he loves him some swim move. He is a relentless rusher and he really plays to his athleticism. My biggest knock on him so far is his use of his hands when engaged. I imagine he’s been so gifted as an athlete that he’s just been able to win with pure athleticism on the edge. At the next level, I’d be concerned about him getting locked up with blockers and disengaging. Hes seemed strong enough at the point of attack, but rarely seemed to gain extension with his hands allowing guys to get inside of his pads. As I was watching him I thought “Raven” so came here to see where you had him mocked. Definitely a guy who likes to play out of the 2 pt stance, so I could see him being an off the ball player at the next level. Obv his fit in the 4-3 is there and WAS does make sense. How would you feel if he went #30 to Buffalo? I’d be concerned about his ability to set the edge and rush within structure in the McD defense, but I know nothing of his personality, coachibility, etc. Strikes me as a high ceiling, low floor guy and not the pick id see Beane making if he were there (or in the area to go get).
  17. Is this where he projects? From what I seen the ducks odd front had him anywhere from playing 1T to a 4i so I’d think 3T in our D makes sense although @GunnerBill suggested he’d slide in next to Ed (presumably at 1T). I think he’d be athletic and versatile enough to do so. Here is a sample of a clip where he splits a double team that makes me feel he could handle playing the nose. 5:20 second mark
  18. Signed through the 2028 season, I am guessing you’re more likely to see a restructure instead of an extension. This next season has the highest cap hit at 63 mil, and I could see Beane wanting to convert this into signing bonus and spread it out down the road. I don’t think there is a hurry to extend him right now.
  19. I’m saying the result would be the same if they ran the same plays, regardless of who the RB was. They got away from the run that final drive likely because their first and 10 run was blown up and it became clear that Kc was in pressure looks. This is again an example of over scrutinizing decisions. Ty Johnson has been excellent in that role. No one was upset about it in the weeks before when he was scoring TDs.
  20. I am not in disagreement about play selection but the fact of the matter is that if cook were on the field for those six snaps on the last drive, the results would have been the same. It’s less to me about which RB was on the field and more about what strategy you use to attack them. My guess is that they wanted to try and grind the clock to zero. They ran the ball the first play and got blown up, and then after Allen bailed us out with a fresh set of downs, they knew KC was coming. We had no counter to that.
  21. Having cook on the field those last four plays likely wouldn’t have changed the outcome of the game.
  22. Very well said. People want to find the quick answer as if there is a keystone piece that lead to their failure. The reality here is that it was a complete team loss. Its easy to say the coaches have to call better plays in hindsight. It’s easy to say Allen should have thrown the swing pass to Shakir. All of this may be correct, but not the only reason they lost. There are many, MANY game defining moments that no one seems to remember. My example here is the 1st&10 on the final drive of the game. Connor McGovern is beat across his face and Ty Johnson is blown up in the back field resulting in a second and long. Do we all rally and say, McGovern blew us the game?!?! I think calmer heads will prevail and people will realize that this team is still very very good. A handful of things go differently in that game (a call, a block, a catch, a pass) and we are having very different conversations right now.
  23. Let’s hope. He needs to play to his weight. Hunt certainly returned the favor on his TD and big boyed him with a stiff arm into the ground on what should have been a clean tackle. As a 2nd rounder at a position that isn’t high priority, I think he’ll grow in a serviceable player. I think this is true cognitively.
  24. Your implication that replacing Vons 6 sacks was expensive is what I was referencing. I don’t really this it would be. A DE at 30 could absolutely be enough, depending on if you hit or not. I would not in the slightest be surprised if that’s what they did. Now if you wanted to trade #30 for an established guy who costs a bit of money, now I think you’re onto something. I don’t see them doing both. For example, they won’t sign Josh sweat at 16 mil a year and take one at 30
