  1. Correct., I was referring to the Bills specifically...
  2. Well, Buffalo ranked 18th passing yards / game in 2014, and 25th passing yards / game in 2012. So the passing game was actually better this year and you have to figure in how bad it was also with E.J. starting the season the first four games I believe. You can blame Marrone for much, not ALL, of the Oline demise, IMO.
  3. Trading up 5 spots to get a receiver, bad move IMO. There are always top receivers available, every year, and this year was no exception. Everyone in the NFL is aware of this, except Buffalo apparently. Adding to this the issue of having nobody to throw him the ball only compounds the mistake.
  4. Use the running game to setup the passing game??? Has that been tried before.... in the NFL? Actually, I don't think the Bills have much of a choice on this one. They essentially won't have a passing game, so run the ball as much as you can and hope for the best. Denver did it with Tebow a few years back, and got into the playoffs... E.J. can't be as bad as Tebow, however the O line is horrible again at this point in time. Good points. Buffalo did go from 6th in the NFL in rushing in 2012, to 25th in the NFL in rushing in 2014 under Marrone, so there is some meat on the bone there... possibly. Also, who knows, maybe a real O.C. could get some more yards out of C.J.
  5. IDK... Whaley went ALL IN with E.J. by trading away the 2015 1st round pick, and now they have nobody at all to throw the ball. This was a huge mistake and rookie G.M. move IMO, and I would have let Whaley go for that alone.
  6. Yes, and E.J. isn't developing... They simply CAN"T go into another season with E.J. Who is BUffalo going to start in 2015 if not a 2015 draft pick???
  7. ... because he is really BIG???
  8. Yeah, there's plenty of that to go around in the NFL...
  9. You seem to have a fascination with BAD QBs, and bad QB play... Why is that?
  10. Maybe that's one of the reasons he didn't get a whiff as H.C. or coordinator. Maybe NFL G.M. types are smarter than we think???
  11. The Buffalo Bills released Fitzpatrick having no replacement on the roster, and the Draft still to come... Cap? Performance? New Coach? Different direction??
  12. Is this a trick question? You mean like the Buffalo Bills.....
  13. Uhh, kind of. They gave up the 27 1st round pick and others to move up 20 spots. Buffalo gave up 2 1st round picks to move up 2 spots? So it's been 4 years is the answer. Atlanta Falcons[edit]The Atlanta Falcons selected Jones with the sixth overall pick of the 2011 NFL Draft. Atlanta had traded five draft picks to the Cleveland Browns to move up into their spot and take Jones, giving up their 27th, 59th, and 124th picks from the 2011 draft, and their first and fourthround picks from the 2012 draft.[54] Jones wears number 11, in tribute to the year he was drafted into the NFL. Jones came to terms with the Falcons on July 28, 2011, signing a four-year contract worth $16.2 million, all of which was guaranteed.[55]
  14. Not really: I'm one of those that hated the pick, having to give up 2 first rounders. Not the way to build a team. When was the last time ANYBODY gave a 2 1st round picks for a WR?
  15. + 1 Honestly, I don't see how Whaley could have managed the 2014 draft re: O linemen any worse.... The thing that I just CAN't get over, is with a line THAT BAD, your 2nd round lick can't even get on the field. That's just horrible.
  16. I'm not excited. What a load of crap...
  17. Didn't expect to get another HC position right away Good, because you're NOT!
  18. Name 1 Seattle receiver?
  19. IMO, the only thing worse than having no QB is trying to force a bad QB on a new HQ.
  20. Right, because the Bills have no QB, no 1st round pick and Whaley wants to save some face. BAD BAD move by Whaley. I would get a real G.M. in here ASAP and let him take over the search. If Whaley screws THIS up, he may be setting the franchise back yet another 3 or 4 years...
  21. Believe me , whoever it is, IS going get battered!!!
  22. Add to that the fact that the Bills basically lost only 1 player/starter to IR the entire season: I'm not counting Chris Williams becuase he was horrible and already an injury threat when signed. McLuvin: ehh. Did fine without him, maybe better?
  23. Apparently those attributes sparked enough interest for Whaley to draft him! Maybe they were planning on moving him to LT and playing next to Williams!
