  1. Dang, man! This is great! Great job on this!
  2. I used to watch Highway to Heaven as a kid. Started watching re-runs of it again, and feel like that is now my go-to when nothing is on. the other recent mindless show I will watch is Family Feud (steve Harvey edition)!
  3. I don’t know. There has been so much recruiting “compression” these days with the transfer portal. And highly recruited kids now don’t want to stay to develop, and then don’t develop at all, and then have to go down a level. For example, I think guys like Goodine and Braswell were well recruited by us and they ended up at some middling schools. On the flip side and maybe more likely, It wouldn’t surprise me that you could get grad transfers from a MAAC school who Syracuse would be after. Similar to a guy like Cam Spencer. Patriot league player to star player on UConn as a 24-year old grad transfer.
  4. Agreed. With receiver inflation, you have to draft and replace. Reminds me of the CB position about 10-15 years ago.
  5. Wow—Onuwaku, Hart, and Blackwell! That is awesome that he is getting all these Cuse alumni! I bet we will see Syracuse players looking for more PT transferring to Siena (maybe vice versa too)— a mini-pipeline!
  6. Landed the Hofstra guard, Carlos. Seems like a good get. https://www.nunesmagician.com/2024/4/24/24139256/syracuse-orange-mens-basketball-hofstra-guard-jaquan-carlos-transfers a buddy of mine said he heard some insider rumor that Leffew will pick us too. Not sure how accurate that is, but thought I would mention it.
  7. good point. That was probably worse.
  8. Never seen a player drafted that high treated in such a way ever by an organization.
  9. Any chance Mintz comes back? Looking at the mocks, and I don’t see any chance of him being drafted at all. Maybe we can make it worth his while with NIL to stay?
  10. Agreed. Lot of major errors. The blackout issues/coordination with the local feed too were a headache to deal with. I can’t remember the game, but we lost a chunk of at least one Bills game because of it. Edit: I remember now. Bills were the national 4 pm game and the 1 pm game went long. Couldn’t watch the beginning of the Bills game. Happened a few times To us. DTV had an end around for this issue (would show the game on a Sunday ticket channel until the conflict ended), but YouTube TV claimed they couldn’t do anything about it.
  11. Maliq Brown to Duke is official. Just painful to think about that one. https://www.dukechronicle.com/article/2024/04/duke-mens-basketball-maliq-brown-transfer-portal-jon-scheyer-mark-mitchell-tj-power-sean-stewart
  12. this is a big pet peeve of mine too!
  13. Drives me nuts when people drop the infinitive “to be” from sentences. For example, they say, “the car needs washed.” It should be “the car needs to be washed.” Seems like this is common in areas around the Great Lakes ( NY, PA, OH, and MI).
  14. Thanks for the heads up on this. I will try to turn mine off and report back.
  15. Taylor to James Madison??? He should have gone to Sienna! I think Maliq had one of his best games against Duke last year. Probably left quite a good impression. It would hurt to see him there.
  16. great move by GMac and Carey. I suspect Carey will excel in that conference.
  17. That was nuts. I hate golfing in windy conditions!! People who don’t play don’t fully appreciate how hard that is.
  18. I saw that. Not ideal. He was playing well today.
  19. this feels wrong!
  20. I just hope Tiger plays well!
  21. Don’t know much about him, but Aden Holloway had entered the portal, and we recruited him. Anyone follow his recruitment? https://insidetheloudhouse.com/posts/syracuse-basketball-former-5-star-pg-recruit-aden-holloway-enters-transfer-portal-01hv1x3mvcmx Edit: looks like Michigan might be interested in him. https://www.maizenbrew.com/2024/4/9/24125629/michigan-wolverines-basketball-auburn-transfer-portal-aden-holloway
  22. just memorable, more than anything. With my kiddos; told them they would remember this their entire lives!
  23. we were in northern Ohio too. Glad we made the trip. Saw every bit.
