  1. Big play here. You know they are going Taylor off tackle here. Just got to stop it.
  2. Need at least a hold or negative yardage play by the D. Indy is getting 3 or 4 yards anytime they want it. Get them in 3rd and long.
  3. Just wanted to pop in to say— relax. Let’s get into a rhythm here; maybe get at least 3, and tighten up the pass D.
  4. I am out of here! Won’t be able to handle the schizophrenic GDT today.
  5. Asking for a friend— how many trips can a person make to the bathroom in a span of 30 Minutes?
  6. Irv, not your finest thread. we will chalk it up to erratic pre-game jitters. 😃
  7. I agree myself. But tell it to this guy:
  8. New josh Allen jersey arrived. Do I wear it? I am nervous about changing anything up.
  9. 1) Seattle Seahawks are your NFC Champs. 2) Tenn @ Buffalo in the AFC Championship.
  10. Even when our run D was bad early in the year, we could at least sell out to stop the run if we needed to. That’s what we did against Tenn. unfortunately, Tanny killed us through the air and on his QB scrambles. But now we that our D has improved, we can play a bit more Balanced on D, and I think still do pretty well against the run. I think people though are expecting too much out of the D. Taylor averages 5 YPC, basically against everyone. The colts Ran pretty effectively even against the Steelers (not a ton of carries— but good YPC). We just have to make some key stops, especially on 3rd down and in the redZone, and avoid huge homerun runs.
  11. i am the exact same. I think at this point, the one team I wouldn’t be fearing as much would be the browns, but only because they are so covid-ravaged. I wanted Indy, and now am worried about them!
  12. Taron Johnson. I was such a hater of his— but since that Steelers game, he has played at such a high level both against the pass and run. He really did a great job in run support last game against Miami.
  13. If you are a good defense, your yardage and points allowed should be pretty close. They are sort of indicators of each other. But the problem is when one is way out of whack than the other. Miami had a great scoring defense, but I think it was an aberration or at least not sustainable. The other good scoring defenses this year also had good yardage numbers. You tend to be luckier than good when your PPG is low but yardage is high, like Miami. Don’t get me wrong— Miami was great at generating turnovers and making big plays. But that is a very hard type of defense to run to sustain success. Doubtful they can replicate it next year.
  14. This is spot on. Our stats are really skewed by the mini slump we hit in the middle of the season. Over the last 3 weeks, our redzone percentage for TD's is like 77%. And if we weren't in 1st and 30 against the Broncos down there all the time, it would probably be higher.
  15. I do think this means they are going to run a lot of 4 and 5-WR sets; and they don't want to run out of receivers or stick Roberts out there if someone gets banged up.
  16. I love how when Miami was hot, this is all we heard: "top scoring defense." Like that was the equivalent of being No. 1. That's not normally how defenses are ranked.
  17. that would be wrong— just toying with our emotions at this point.
  18. I sort of see what the Bills did here: stashed and hid Duke all year on the PS to let him shine now!! Brilliant.
  19. haha— true. We are all terrified.
  20. This may be totally unfair to Watson. But he seems slower to process reads and make decisions. It’s unfair because his release time/time to throw is pretty good (better than Josh’s). But he strikes me this year, at least, as more hesitant as to where he wants to go with the ball. And I think Josh’s higher release time is indicative of his better ability to extend plays. (The other guys with the same numbers are Russell Wilson and Baker Mayfield— who both also are effective at buying more time).
  21. I would be curious to know this too. I don’t understand how this would be good at all.
