I always loved this quote from him: I have very high standards for who I think should be in the Hall of Fame. Ninety percent of the names you usually see mentioned have no business being in the HOF. The standard question I ask is, "Can the history of professional football be written without mentioning this player?" If the answer is YES, then they do not belong in the HOF. With Baugh, there is no question that you CANNOT write the history of pro football without him. He belongs in the HOF and is one of the all-time greats. R.I.P. Slingin' Sammy.

I did. The judgment was too small ($425), so they refused to take it. Their commission from the collection would not have been enough. They usually look for at least $500 before considering the case; at least the reputable places in my area.

I just wanted to make him aware of what is in store if he expects to collect from this guy. I went after this contractor for the exact same reason: to try to prevent him from doing this to others. It did not work.

I am not sure what the laws are like in your neck of the woods, but in my area, even if you win in small claims court, that still does not force the person to pay up. I won a case against a contractor in small claims court. He refused to pay. I had to pay another fee to file a levy against him. He then took me to county court to challenge the levy. I had to pay another fee to get a lien filed against him. I still have not seen my money. Of course, I was able to get revenge in other ways, but that is a different story.

...which is why I did that game this week. I do what I can to accommodate suggestions. The ones I do not do this year, I can do next year. I was thinking of the 1991 game, but I was not sure if I should go back farther in history.

According to Lori's game preview, the 49ers were ranked 23rd in total offense. Why the hell wouldn't you want the 49ers to start the game with their offense, knowing that there would have been a good chance that the Bills would have stopped them? At that point, your offense is going against the 23rd ranked defense in the league with a shorter field. That's better for your offense. Saying that you should have taken the ball since the offense was warmed up is ridiculous. Wasn't the defense just as "warmed up" at that point?
