  1. Thanks for checking in, Joe. You can go back to sleep now.
  2. To hedge their bets in case it turned out the planet was actually cooling. Since they don't really know beyond the very, very short term.
  3. Not only do his posts make no sense, he doesn't even know who he's responding to. So essentially he's the Joe Biden of PPP.
  4. Exactly. Those are the guys you give the big $ to because they all (you can make a case against Eli) make the players around them better. To use the baseball metric, those guys have a very high WAR. That defines the current Dak Prescott conundrum, and is the critical evaluation that must take place on Josh Allen over the next year and a half. I'm optimistic Josh can reach the top level of the QB position, but if the Bills conclude otherwise they have to find the courage to let him walk.
  5. Europe: Lockdown, Part II Gee, I was certain that all those smart, pragmatic leaders in (why can't we be more like) Europe had this thing under control. Or is this all Trump's fault too? https://www.cnn.com/videos/world/2020/10/29/europe-france-germany-coronavirus-covid-19-lockdowns-bittermann-pkg-intl-hnk-vpx.cnn
  6. Easy to give a big second contract to a QB once he's established himself in the top group, like Mahomes. The trap is when you have a good, not great QB like Goff or Wentz. That's when you kill your roster because those guys don't elevate the team.
  7. Well...could be more depending where he lives. It would be 50% for those of us in CA.
  8. On the bright side, his tax burden on the $3k win will be substantially less than the 40% or so he'd have paid on $1mm.
  9. something, something, something.....SCRANTON!!!.....something....something....
  10. Good read here on that subject (and by Bills fans). And I suspect the states have only upped their aggressive position on residency since this was written. https://www.hodgsonruss.com/media/publication/129_12_2010 The Multistate Tax Quandary For Professional Athletes.pdf
  11. What does it say about baseball when Manfred is booed worse — by a tiny COVID crowd no less — than even Gary Bettman?
  12. I guess, in that the Rays somehow stuck around even though the Dodgers has every hit they needed. But I’ve seen dozens of World Series games more entertaining than that HR derby. To me, only the fluky ending made it memorable. I agree with that. Always liked him and as with Manning, never bought into the post season criticism.
  13. I think the last time I saw a ground out was 2015. It’s shocking how quickly they’ve made postseason baseball almost unwatchable.
  14. They have absolutely ruined baseball with the over-managing and the home run-or-nothing offense. The day I am appointed Emperor, every fence in MLB will be pushed back 50 feet.
  15. Pulling your ace in the sixth inning after giving up no runs on two hits. The idiots have ruined baseball.
  16. Exactly the kind of guy the Bills have avoided bringing here. I don't think they change that approach now for a player rapidly closing in on 'first round bust' status.
  17. Less than half of one percent of games ends in a tie. Is it really that big a problem?
  18. Let’s just say a game against the Jets offense couldn’t have come at a better time.
  19. Exactly! Was totally rooting for AZ to get the tie there. Not ready to end the weekend!!!!
