The punch out was a "star" type play....big time play at a critical moment. The Bills D has been good at times throughout the drought but what has been missing is plays like the punch out.

Nice article on Shamarko Thomas..like others -- loved him at Syracuse...always wanted to see him on a Bills roster. http://nypost.com/2017/08/15/jets-underdog-db-already-has-triumphed-after-tragedy/ -

The Bills gatorade coolers are relieved this is not the case... -
Bringing a little bit of the old Buffalo Bills culture to New England. Trust the process...

Falk has excellent mechanics, goes through his progressions and is accurate in tight windows. He also has adequate arm strength to fit in tight windows and throws an excellent fade. The question is -- is he willing to work to get better...I think the fact that he had scholarship offers pulled due to weird circumstances -- walked on at WSU and then won the starters role over many higher touted recruits shows a good work ethic and motivation. I like him as much as anyone out there-- but the NFL tends to be a measurables league and he is short on velocity and weight/muscle. No matter what the Bills do with Tyrod -- the team should try to get one of the top 5 rated QBs in a deep class. That will mean spending one or both #1's and then using the rest of the picks in the top 100 to build depth where needed. Last throught...Leach didn't disappoint last night with his post game interview on ESPN....he was asked what Pullman was like last night--he said "Its like Woodstock but everyone stil has their clothes on."

One Final Observation on the Denver Game
JoeF replied to Juice_32's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Its nice to see what smart coaching looks like for our guys instead of making opposing coaches look like geniuses. That team on Sunday played one of the smartest games I have seen from the Bills since 2000. The defense confined their worst mental mistakes to the Broncos TD drive in the first half (Hyde and Hughes personal fouls). The 42 second field goal drive at the end of the half was really beautiful execution and clock management. -
Or -- I have been lobbying coach to activate Joe Banyard on game days.....

Not trying to convince you that he is good at what he does, but I feel like he is. My feeling is based on stories like the ones on Beane and McDermott, Bjorn Nitmo, Darryl Talley. TBN gives him the chance to get indepth with really few word limits and column inches and he makes the most of it. Yes he left TBD in a huff and probably shouldn't have responded...but I feel like he is good at what he does and is worth $3 a month. Kimberly Martin is off to a fast start to in my book. She seems to build relationships where she gets more than the normal quotes out of players. -

Film showed them what we all saw on Sunday....Lots of room for receivers in the short zones. There were 13 short Jet passes that gained between 5 and 18 yards.....I like that they bring in talent to address that. -

McDermott says McCoy may play "every snap" this season
JoeF replied to BADOLBILZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agree...even though it was not a smart thing to say and it will burn him when Shady gets a nick....I was actually happy to see him get a little snarky... -

Watch the presser -- he wasn't serious when he said it. It was right after a question about if any of the vets on the team had asked him if this was a tank season. He got as incredulous as I have seen him--as incredulous as Opie Taylor can get... He was making a point that the Bills will do anything to win this year...and that if Shady told him he was good to go he would be playing. -
Why are you still watching?

Its where I grew up. Its larger than football for me, its a fondness for WNY. My memories of youth are tied to the team. I have passed this to my kids. They have no connection to Buffalo other than me. They were born in Atlanta and Raleigh and grew up Carolinians but Buffalo is strangely home to them. One or two weekends a year they live my childhood around a game and they look forward to it every year like Christmas. The Bills are family. The represent the fond memories of where I grew up and I am proud to share them with those dearest to me. The great years, the good years the bad years don't matter as much as the experience and the sharing.
