I think that depends on your moral and ethical make-up....probably not... It would be in bad taste to ask if his dad had a high motor given the manner in which he died...

Hell---45 years, $200 Million, free passes to the Candian Ballet for life, appointment as Director of Fun for the Town of Orchard Park; Jim Kelly's parking space at OBD; adulation from Buddy the Wonder Dog; the handle LeCharles the Great on TBD....and anything else I haven't thought of...
-
Instead he spends $5 million over three years on Bennie Anderson and authorizes drafting a college player who will make more over the life of his contract than we could possibly pay Bentley...it makes no sense VA...it makes no sense (I know thats your point)....I would much rather sign two vets for the OL (one Tackle and a superior G or C) and leave the top of the draft to Defense...

Brett Favre on the Bills???? Did you hear JP's comments about Favre last year??? I can see the sequel to Brokeback Mountain being filmed already....Quarterbacks in the Sack.. Buffalo's movie industry gets a shot in the arm I guess...

One time Ralph and Marv...get us an interior lineman that doesn't get blown off the ball 25-50% of the time...get us an interior lineman that can pull and trap and pass block....get us an interior lineman that makes 3rd and short a certain 1st down rather than an "adventures in inept football " film.. Get us LeCharles....get us LeCharles LeNow...

I heard Wimpy has a helluva offensive mind...His scheme is based on an off-shoot of the wishbone. The Empty Podium could be redesigned to look like a fire hydrant...or maybe an old comfy couch...

I would prefer Sherman....but I found the player comments really interesting...he sounds like, well, being overly officious,....Marv....

Bio: Dick Jauron didn't know he was on Bills staff in 1985---Hank Bullough's staff.... Relationship with Dick LaBeau LeBeau and Jauron Perspective at end of Lions interim job: Jauron from Lions Player Quotes from Chicago: "I love playing for him personally," Pro Bowl linebacker Brian Urlacher said. "I think everyone on this team would say the same thing. He's a stand-up guy. He stands up for what he believes in. He's not a real talker because talking doesn't win games. Players win games and making plays wins games. He tells us that." "Everyone gives him a bum rap because he's not real vocal with the media. But when he needs to get us going, he gets us going." Instead of yelling and getting all rah-rah, he takes a different method," linebacker Warrick Holdman said. "He just tells you what needs to be done. He not the guy who's going to go in the middle of the team room and break a chair or crack the chalkboard over his head." Jauron won the loyalty of the players during the tough times by never singling out any individuals for public criticism. When things went wrong, he took the blame. The players and assistant coaches admired his quiet strength, which paid dividends in the breakthrough 2001 season. "I have never seen (Jauron) take a player who was struggling and maybe played an awful game and berate that player to protect himself," said Mike Singletary, the Bears Hall of Fame linebacker, who won a Super Bowl under Mike Ditka. "That's a real tribute. There were some opportunities when he could have...really jumped on the bandwagon to save himself and he didn't take the opportunity. He took the high road." "From Day One, he has treated me like a man," said defensive end Phillip Daniels. "He asked me about my family and how they were doing. Most coaches aren't concerned with that. They're concerned with winning and that's it. He's not like that. I just see something different in him. He's a team player, he's a player's coach." Knocks are that he is-- 1) Unemotional 2) Conservative 3) Defensive oriented with no proclivity or focus on Offense..

That's really good news...ESPN Radio had Sherman as the favorite of the Saints earlier tonight. Not that I don't like Payton--but we just traveled that highway twice-- Sherman did not sound very enthused in his interview with the Saints media...

tossing an unsubstantiated idea in the ring

2006 was his last year on the payroll...Saints/Benson owe him $3.2 Million for 2006 if he doesn't work or the difference between what he makes in 2006 with a new club and the $3.2 Million... Sherman was making about the same... Its pretty certain that Money would come up in setting up the interview...I hope that means Ralph is willing to pay what it takes to get both the right HC and assistants...we have to give the HC a budget to get good coordinators..and the price for good coordinators is more than we were paying Mularkey... -
It seems to me a lot of teams bring in the favorite candidate last....I bet someone interviewed today (maybe Gray) and then we get a diet of Jauron and Sherman possibly Lofton before Haslett comes in....it could be his to lose. As for Marv and grudges--read his autobio...he has had a few bad blood relationships in his day...he has even made up with the ex-President in KC who he believes hosed him royally..he has a life is too short philosophy. Probably does not apply to Chuck Dickerson. One thing that could kill Haslett is the character and control of team issues...this article describes some of the situations and is a good history of Has in NO... Has in NO

Green Bay defensive coordinator Jim Bates
JoeF replied to gflande1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Falcons O-Line Coach as his OC Gets rid of Larry Beightol who is a respected OL coach Now Bates Leaves... The staff that Childress put together in Minny was about the same...no experience at the Coordinator level -- some decent experience at the position coach level Still a lot of good assistant coaches out there--and a lot of former head coaches who have not gotten jobs but were ace coordinators... -

I agree Sherman was on a short leash...but look at some of the fan comments on Thompson Thompson.. This is a team that fired a coach in recent history after one year on the job...

The "Official" TBD Coaching Vacancies Thread
JoeF replied to Typical TBD Guy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nice Avatar...I guess I don't even have to click the Pixyland link anymore... Not head coaching related but just saw a story that says Mora II may want MM to interview in Atlanta for an offensive position coach role...Mularkey to HotAtlanta? Seems like those two are buds...Lenny P had Atlanta looking at TD in this week's tip sheet..the two could be reunited... -
OT: Has anyone seen this kid Noel Devine?
JoeF replied to daquixers_is_back's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Is a Junior and lives with and has been adopted by Deion Sanders.. North Fort Myers went 6-4 this year even with him....North Ft. Myers is where Deion went to HS... No word on the kids Jewelry collection..if the kid goes to FSU the NCAA will, lets just say, be very, very interested in the situation.
