  3. You held up very well through this rash of press events. You are well conditioned and high effort...the Bills should offer you a lucrative contract extension. Here's an advance -- some expensive polish (that's not the kielbasa kind but the wax kind). Job well done...you will fit in well in the Dick era. Expensive British Furniture Polish
  4. Podium looks very dapper today
  5. My morning began with a morning ritual head butt from my 3 year old son at 6 AM...how can I not be happy?...football is football, life is life..
  6. and involves the airport....... Wonder if he flew coach..seems like Ralph would give the jet to the new head coach...I am guessing a body double just to throw everyone off
  7. Jauron in Buffalo
  8. don't be bitter VA... Life's too short... Damn he's !@#$ing good...
  9. Raiders Search.... Houston is pretty much a done deal with Kubiak... Oakland....Whisenhut, Grimm??? After researching Sherman this past week..I can't think of more of a mismatch than Randy Moss and Mike Sherman...I don't know....Plus you have the whole Ralph/Al Davis history..there is a strange kind of loyalty between those two..
  10. Yea its called a gentlemen's agreement or a handshake...that and $2 get you a grande coffee of the day at Starbuck's
  11. In a related story...Randy McMichael just got his photograph taken for the side of a milk carton....
  12. Mularkey accepts Fins offer... MM going back home
  13. Marv Levy....Is SATAN...He probably willed Mike Tice to scalp his super bowl tickets.
  14. The parody portion of this would have been funnier if we had beaten the Pats...instead of losing to them...TWICE....I am glad that the braintrust and the team had a few laughs after the first loss to the Pats and then went out and lost 35-7 the next time we played them. The 2005 Bills sucked...lack of heart, lack of effort, lack of personnel, lack of conditioning...I can't say I am really sorry to see the braintrust that put this team together and coached it gone...There is a decent nucleus of players left but not near enough of them to justify 5 years of work..
  15. We got a late start. Mularkey resigned 10 days after most coaches were either fired or not renewed immediately after the season. I'd say the "golden boys" are moving pretty quickly. I am holding judgement until we see the results...and even then...all that matters is what we begin to see on the field come September.
  16. Pitt Panther fans will be happy. I am sure that loss to Ohio University last year gave them lots of hope for the future. Maybe Marv and Ralph are helping a local high school or community college with their search.
  17. Gary Bettman would need a booster seat to reach your butt AD...one diminutive guy...I think he was an Wizard of Oz cast member with Billy Barty It was a !@#$ up...
  18. Thanks for the update. Good news!
  19. This reminds me...Thirdborn's thread on his son Gus was huge as well. Anyone heard from Thirdborn lately.
  20. Despite our last encounter Brad--I do like your show when I get chance to listen. This is really interesting. I think thousands of people would be willing to at least kick the tires on this once they get to true prospectus stage. The Packers ownership structure is a good guide. The Celtics were publicly traded until the ownership group in 2003...Think of Russert and Blitzer pumping this on their shows...
  21. I read this story this morning and found the logic very bizarre...half the organization likes Sherman; half the organization likes Jauron...so as a compromise you hire the candidate that noone rates best....I think this will not happen...Ralph and Marv are smarter than this.
  22. Prayers from the six of us in the JoeF house.
  23. Living in North Carolina, this exact thought crossed my mind this week. I tried to remember some of the things that were happening in Charlotte during the Siefert years..The main thing I heard is that the work ethic of the staff may have been less than required but here are a couple of other thoughts: 1) The lines on both sides of the ball were not very deep and there were some injuries. 2) They went from 4-12 in 98 (Capers last year) to 8-8 in 99 to 7-9 in 2000 to 1-15 in 2001. Beurline was their QB the first two years Weinke the last year. They had major injuries in addition to the QB switch the next year--for example their leading rusher in 01 was Richard Huntley who was cut from the Bills in camp one or 2 years later...They won their first game that year--and then lost 15 in a row... I am not saying that Sherman can avoid this--but Siefert never built the lines--and he really forced the West Coast offense on two kind of classic drop back passers--not sure the fit was there...it was a shambles when he left--Fox has done a magnificent job turning it around.
  24. I heard it Lori--it wasn't quite word for word with your post...but pretty damn close.
